#623This one took us an embarrassing long time to find. We managed to look pass the hide multiple times. Must have been blind but we got it in the end. TFTC
I am down under for the very first time. Visiting Australia has always been a dream of mine, and I cannot believe it has come true. Australia's nature and wildlife really captivated me. Over three weeks, I saw many wonderful beaches, sunsets, animals such as , and I found great geocaches. My tour guide was mostly geocaching, and through it, I discovered many beautiful places I wouldnt have seen without our great hobby. I mainly stayed in Brisbane but also visited other gorgeous places such as Noosa Heads and Springbrook. I spent a few days on the Gold Coast and Moreton Island, and I went to New South Wales to have visited a second state in Australia. During my stay, the winter and early spring in Queensland were very warm, the sun shone every single day, and I did not see a single drop of rain. My time down under was so beautiful and unforgettable. Australia is such a stunning country! Today I spent another day in Brisbane. I really like this city and I discovered beautiful places. In the morning I spent some time in the city centre and I hosted an event. After that I went to the oldie "Queens land". What a day! I also looked for many geocaches like this one. After GC8E I stopped here. I have seen many kangaroos in this forest. At GZ I found the cache. After signing the log I put the container back as found. Thank you for this geocache says Mr. J. Cacher from the other side of the world
As others said, this did give my knees a work out. Was determined I was going to find it as this is no 13 today and I have not had a DNF. TFTC
Found this one while out doing the Holden Series with CanineCubby. Nice to be looking for a regular size cache. TFTC Crew 153
Nice walk along the tracks in a nice bush setting. Its finally stopped raining !!This is number 5 find in the series. Hands and one job. Cache too wet to signTFTC
Took less time than expected but thats because I am hopeless at this type of cache and I had WalkingJazz with me! TFTC
This was a slow methodical searh that did get the prize. Well placed, crew153. Thanks for the cache and
8/1/2024 Find #6794It is the last week of holidays for me. And I am determined to get out and have some fun. And after a slow and rainy start to the day, I finally decided I really should make the most of it, drizzle or not. So I looked at my special list Ive made of caches I need to get by mates. I had two in this area to target and it was only a short drive from my previous location, and just a bit of a walk. I figured it would fill in the last of my free time today nicely before having to collect 1MinnieMooJnr from work. I did take a moment or two here today to find this one, looking along both sides of the structure. Finally saw what I was after, just as the mosquitoes were about to start giving me grief, and as I began to wonder about my time constraints. Initially I was going to write that there were no frogs just lots and lots of noisy cicadas today. But I actually heard one just as I was leaving Frog Hollow. Thanks for the cache Crew 153.
After work today, we went for a wander and cache in Karawatha Forest. Great Park to walk around and well-maintained tracks, and not too busy for a Monday either. All caches found, signed and returned. TFTC
Danke fr's Austfteln, Herlocken, Verstecken und Pflegen !Thank you very much for luring us here as well as for hiding and maintaining the cache !....../ ).....' /---' (_____.TFTC . Wasn't immediately visually obvious so entrusted the hands with this search. One side came up empty, other side, bingo! Tftc!
Found after a brief search of the various options. Log book and other papers wet inside so addes an all weather log to use until next maintainence run. TFTC. Enjoying the walk also
Another great find today. Nice hide, the log book is a little damp. TFTC Crew 153
Thanks for the cache, which was found nice and easily. Though the container is wet and the log is soggy. A maintenance run on this cache wouldnt go astray. Find number 2400 for me!
Out today to continue with my challenges and I noticed a nice little spot that would suit as a walking area for today. I was just looking at a few today, then coming back to get a few more tomorrow. I had been to this area once before not down this way.
I grabbed just four of my list of six, I had a dnf on a multi around the corner from here, and the first one of my series caches was a dnf. It was nice to be out and about and a nice area. This was a nice find here, I searched around for some time before I spied the nicely tucked away cache. I signed the log and replaced the cache as found and moved onto the next one. A favourite point for this one from me, thanks.

We’re going a geo-cycling blitz of Karawatha Forest Park on this Queen’s/King’s Birthday Monday Public Holiday. Two “Series” are our main priority, but this one popped into our sights, and it was an easy find here. Manky log book. Shaz added a clean sheet. Cache could do with a bit of love. TFTC
Lost reception here. Managed to find it with passerby fellow Geocachers. Helps to get the right gps location.
The perfect day for a walk in Karawatha. Although there was some water on the track on our approach, we were lucky to have dry enough space underfoot to find the cache. Spotted from the opposite side and easily retrieved once we had repositioned ourselves. Thanks Crew 153
Looked around on the wrong side Before finally spotting it and crossing over. Logbook is somewhat damp but still usable. TFTC
TFTC!!!!
Most difficult one for me to find so far! Thanks to an earlier log saying you needed a phone light to find or else we wouldn't have found it either
Left a mushroom

After not finding this one last year I was back with more details on where it is hidden. Felt in a few places, then found it. Everything inside was damp, so I replaced the old plastic bag. A lot more water here this time. Tftc
We managed to get out again and find a few more of this series.

My 60 year old knees have had a big work out today and this one no exception. Emptied water from cache container but log us fairly dry. Tftc
Having a lovely day in Karrawatha Forest collecting a great variety of caches.
Thanks Crew153 for the cache, all is well with this one.

After attending the celebration event yesterday & discovering what a gem Karawatha Forest is, I returned today to seek out more of the plentiful caches hidden here. Again on foot so I am unable to collect as many as those on ’s . In total 10 today before it started to sprinkle & I did not want to chance being caught in a downpour TFTC
Today, the plan was mountain biking around Karawatha Forest in Logan, to celebrate the 21st anniversary of geocache *Queens Land* with a scheduled community celebration event. After attending the morning photograph and cake session, I headed out west following the Ironbark Circuit. I then proceeded in a general anti-clockwise direction visiting lat&long junkie's favourite spot / virtual cache, and then riding south on Casuarina Trail, passing the quarry lake along the way. I then rode along the Maculata Trail, completing the Holden series (HS) trail. It was well past lunchtime by the time I finished riding approximately 30 km in distance, and after making a stop in the Kuraby Bushlands, I then found a few oldie geocaches in Karawatha Forest West. I closed out the day with a late lunch stop and a couple of geocaches in nearby Jack Pyle Park.
I found this boardwalk to be pretty cool, with a nice pond overseen. No frogs found though. Whilst stopping and having a sneaky look, a muggle was nearby and wondered what I was doing, as he had seen someone else doing the same. So I mentioned to him our little geocaching hobby, and he was quite interested. After having a thorough search around, I soon found the cache nicely hidden away. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Crew 153 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

while attending the "Queens land- 21 years on" event today. We decided to grab ourselves some caches and earn the cake we just ate!
This cache took us a while to find but with perseverance and persuasion (to get my partner to use his long arm). We came up with the cache in hand!
We took a fair walk around Karawatha Forest this was cache number 8/17 for the day. TFTC

Spotted this through the cracks and had no problem reaching it. Thanks for the cache
Very clever hide. Took us a long time to find but we loved it. Thanks! The Domjahn's
Another nice quick find.
Lovely walking through here in the peace and quiet with nothing but the occasional birdsong.
All good here.

Grabbed this one before heading back to the car. We were in the area logging some caches in the Holden Series, and the prospect of a Frog Hollow seemed to nice an opportunity to pass up. A little mucking about on the wrong side of the path here, but eventually found the little 'amphibian.'
TFTC.
TFTC.
Someone has stolen the cache. My partner and I found a bong and scissors where the cache is meant to be sadly
I’m always happy to find a Crew153 cache even if it means getting down on my hands and knees... which I suppose I didn’t really have to do that here, but where’s the fun in that... I even used the COs pen that I “borrowed” on the weekend when I met him during a crazy FTF hunt on Northside....
Thanks Max for bringing me here today... couldn’t hear any frogs, but did get surrounded by butterflies...

I took a Mountain Bike ride through this area a couple of months back, first time I’d ridden here. My MTB mates don’t cache so stopping to pick up little boxes and sign logs is not an option as catching up is just not on. Looking back at old logs it seems the last time I cached here was for the Queensland 10 years Event. Wow, now another 10 years has passed.
Today after a FB post on my intended ride I was joined by Triple Turmoil as my victim for the day. I do like making people suffer while they are out on a bike ride. Tripe T showed she was up to the challenge and we had a fun day out exploring the trails in the area. Mind there were some we ventured along that even I will not ride back there again.
Collected these on the way back to the cars. It had been a big day so riding a well formed trail was a blessing
