Was unwilling to go through the water this morning to cross to the other side to the cache. Will leave it till dryer or warmer times.

Rounding up a few caches we have missed around Maitland and Bolwarra.
Arrived at this one unsure where to start. There was an unlocked gate which led up beside the rail tracks. Not sure we should be here however the track was closed for maintenance. Could not see a way down to where we thought the cache would be and an easy alternative would have been to enter private property which is verboten. Decided to leave this and go elsewhere. On driving back under the underpass we noticed there was another possibility that looked easier. In fact it was, except that the walkway through the tunnel is barred and the water too deep to get around. So decided to give this a one a big miss.

We loved this one. Definitely not one for the mini burners though. We had a few wines under the belt, after lunching at the vineyards, so much concentration was needed. Great Cache Morgans. Smile

Reperio at 1305. Parked at the gate and wandered in, and couldn't help feeling I was on private property. The water in the creek has certainly decreased, making retrieval a lot easier. The train tunnels look very nice, and you could see plenty a child getting up to mischief here.

Gratias.

Cache is in a really nice location, wanted to stay and admire the view for a while but was a bit worried about muggles. Thankx Morgans =)

Finally got around to doing this one. This is one which probably should not be attempted after lots of rain as the water level was high. Cache was still in place. TFTC

We rocked up to this one and as Mr Stevens was coming back to car to look at notes again it poured down rain on him...Mrs Stevens was in car laughing...He Headed out again and finally found it...TFTC...GO TEAM_STEVENS

Team-Stevens reported to us today that they found a note in the container. It would appear that children, raised by low-lifes, have carried on the family tradition of being pond scum and have muggled the cache. They used the language they heard from the dropkicks they believe are their parents to inform us that they stole items from the cache in the past and also recently. What a miserable life these children must have. Good luck staying out of jail. Anyway, the container and log are still in place. We will let it run for the time being. Let me know if you DNF it and I will can it.

To the snots that did this......look up Karma. I deliver it for a living.

Attended scene of accident, responding to report of damage by ruffasgutts4x4. Fixed problem. All better. Remember to swim or swing to find the cache. Don't walk on the bridge or tracks.

18-Feb-11
We made the find quickly. The log was wet and needs some TLC. TFTC

This was my favourite cache of the 39 we found today well thought out and Aussie Cacher and I went different ways to GZ but still managed to make it more difficult than it needed to be, the cache had fallen we guess from it's normal abode, the bag was ripped in half there was nothing else there not even a log sheet from memory, just an empty container, we left our sticker inside and replaced the cache.
awesome construction, and some fun getting there Thanks for bringing us here. Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin needs a little maintance though caches like this one are worth keeping going. Thanks for bringing us here Big Grin

I have driven past here many, many, many times and have never known about this intriguing structure. Quite nice under here. When I walked through I imagined what it must be like in Hezakiah's tunnel under old Jerusalem. Not that I have been there of course. I spotted the namesake on my way to work the other day and thought that I may try this cache next time I am wearing long pants. It seems that that is not likely to happen this summer, so I braved it and the track is wearing in a little so I didn't get scratched up. I took a keyring and left a small badge. TFTC.

#4697 Found this cache as part of the Rats, Steeba & FarmerFrentzen blitz on the Port Stephens area. This was alot of fun. We spied a pipe which gave us a good starting point, then we managed to navigate around the obstacles before arriving at GZ. Once the logging was done we had to tackle the obstacles again which proved to be fun.
We all loved this one
Thanks

Found on a mammoth day's caching of 124 caches in 17 hours around the Maitland and Port Stephens area with The Rats and Farmer Frentzen.

This was a nice little adventure [^]. We managed to park in the right spot then it was a big stretch to get deeper towards the cache before some balancing. A really cool cache Big Grin. Thanks!

Found during a 17 hour caching spree with The Rats and steeba that yielded 124 finds.

This was one of the highlights of the day for me. I quite enjoyed making our way around the barrier and along the pipe to GZ.

TNLN and thanks morgans2320 for the cache.

Left pufferfish Geocoin (PCM40W) when I planted the cache...gone missing...any clues.

After coming across an obstacle that I thought that I shouldn't attempt to negotiate, I thought, well you never never know if you never never go! And there it was. The blackberries were quite tame. Signed, replaced and renegotiated. Thanks morgans2320 for the hunt. TNLN.

This is our 4496th overall find.

Found at about 1:07 PM. We went to both sides of this one about 2 times each trying to work out how to attack it. There didn't seem to be an easy way.

We ended up parking off the track and Matt with his long arms and legs negotiated the barrier in his way and made his way along to a slippery submerged pipe that lead to the cache. A call of 'I found it' came bellowing back to Shell who waited near the barrier. There was a few hairy moments trying to back track back to the car butt Matt made it - dry and with Phone and GPS in one piece. What a great cache though, like the description says, it brings back your childhood.

Thanks to morgans2320 for the cache.

I originally approached this from the wrong direction realising the error we tried again. This time it was an easy trek to the hide with no blood lost. A realy interesting location, TFTC morgans2320. [785]

We had no trouble accessing this cache from the north side of the tracks.
There is some work being carried, So now is the time to do this one before the cage goes back up.

Awesome spot. I can't believe I'd never seen it before, Unfortunately I had to stop before crossing the water. I had a knee reconstruction so walk with a limp, I wasn't going to risk it, but I took a few photos of the area because I loved it.

09-Oct-10
Wow what a spot. It was pretty spooky at night. No wet feet and we didn't find the blackberries to be a problem. We would have played here as children too! TFTC

08-Oct-10
Finally got a FTF ....To get to this one ,had to go over water ,over barbed wire fence and through blackberry bushes,so i wouldn't even think of doing this without shoes and long pants. But it was all worth it in the end. TFTC.
