Many thanks to all those who came to visit... Big Grin
I won't be able to replace this cache in the short term, so I'll open up this wonderful parkland to the next cache-placer. I'll still endeavour to return this one to its original location, but I won't hold this space in case someone else has an interesting idea!

03-Jun-12
Indeed, the new cache has gone astray... I was never super satisfied with the modified location anyway...
Bear with me a while longer while I attempt to replace a modified container at the original location.
I'll be out of town for a while, so don't expect this to pop up again tomorrow, but it will be back!

27-Apr-12
I'm away, but I'll come back to check on this ASAP.

20-Apr-12
Went looking for the new site with geo-grandaughter.
We searched thoroughly for a long time, but were unable to locate the cache. I'm wondering if it is still there.

12-Apr-12
Found an appropriate spot that followed the hint. The spot was full of rubbish no cache. Let me know please if I was looking in the wrong spot pease.

Found it No. 4367 ... nice hide ... TN and left Chinese Coins .... TFTC griz4b

Coordinates changed from:
S 33° 24.467 E 149° 34.473

Coordinates changed to:
S 33° 24.440 E 149° 34.420

Distance from original: 315.1 feet or 96 meters.

Thanks to Swynymor and DEBSE for rescuing this cache.
With all the water we've had this year, and the new undergrowth at the original GZ, I've decided to move this cache. Make sure that you still visit the original GZ at S 33° 24.467 E 149° 34.473, which seems to have been a fun time for young and old!

The CODA will still apply, but perhaps it will now be gastronomic, instead of symphonic Big Grin. Happy caching!

#11 in my quest to find 60 caches in one day to celebrate my 60th birthday.

Wow what a park, if only my two children had been with us today, as it was I played the part of a child, and annoyed Satanas666 as he grabbed the cache, ringa ding ding.

Thanks griz4b.

16-Oct-11
Found this one in the same spot i'd looked twice previously, great feeling to finally knock this one off as well as make my first swap - only found micros up to this point. Thanks griz4b Smile

13-Oct-11
searched twice for this today once around 4 - way too many people so just had a quick search, went back again tonight around 8:15 still could not find it- also heaps of redbacks where i was looking even though that might be the wrong spot, will have to check again but would love another hint Smile

04-Oct-11
Returned, just in time for the race, in a slightly more waterproof container. Hope to see you there!
Even when replacing this cache at night, I had to be careful to avoid the nocturnal muggles using the park.

25-Sep-11
Will attend to this little cache and get it up and running again ASAP.. Nice to know we've had some rain lately!

25-Sep-11
Gotcha !!! Put back where found but the whole container was full of water and the logbook is soaked. No comment on this by yesterdays finder so maybe it was flooded in last nights rain??
Managed to sign wet log anyway but needs drying out. TFTC

24-Sep-11
Plenty of kids around but none near gz which helped.

Found and logged mid afternoon.

Thanks to griz4b.

That was a great find. I took my new girlfriend out to show her what it is like, I think she enjoyed it. Very Happy TFTC

Our last caching day at Bathurst and surroundings...when we arrived there were several muggles with their kiddies, impossible to search so went to nearby cache for a while then came back here again...no muggles Mr Bushies2 found it quickly. Thanks griz4b.

Definitely need to have kids to make a distraction. This park is a favourite of ours and to have cache adds to the experience.

12-Aug-11
I have tried to grab this one a couple of times but muggles and poor searches have always beaten me. Not this time. Plenty of tome and no muggles about meant a more determined search and a quick grab and sign. Very clever hide in an area where stealth will always be needed. TFTH. PS loved the park, a great asset to Bathurst.

Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinToday I introduced the three young children of my nephew to geocaching and we all had lots of fun.

I hadn't been here before. It's a great place for the kids and I loved seeing all the adventure activities provided for the kids.

I think I love the location more than the cache with this one! Loads of fun to be had, and a cache to boot! Apologies to my companions for my out of tune antics.

Thanks griz4b for the cache, excellent park.

12-Jun-11
What a fabulous playground with so many original touches. I loved this cache - the only suggestion I would offer is whether the vegetation is getting a bit trampled by finders. I guess it is a playground so the kids will do that anyway. We were especially taken by the bells on the bridge - we don't call somebody 'twinkle toes' for nothing! I think I left a path tag in thanks. so thanks griz4b.

12-Jun-11
Interesting park you say.....yep, I think we all agreed.

ZZ7 and Winglen managed the find on this....always good to have 2 sets (or more)of eyes when searching like this.

Thanks for the cache.

What an amazing play park! I wish had something like this around here. So much to see there and do including reading stuff and playing vaguely musical tunes on a small bridge. Located cache fairly quickly, which was in good shape and dry considering the deluge of rain there this late weekend. SL, TNLN. TFTC Griz4b - VK2GOM - Rob & Jess

Having a bit of time to spare and a couple of kids needing to burn off some steam, what better place to visit. Can.t decide if the parks in Tassie of our NSW parks are better. I think the southern ones are winning at this stage. Finding this one was music to my ears.

Had to pick up the other Smelly from work across the road, so thought i'd leave a little earlier and grab the closest cache while I was at it. Thankfully the park was muggle free at 9.00pm so cache was found and returned quick smart. TFTC.

07-Feb-11
Being of a certain age, I wasn't going to let a few muggles rob me of a quick performance and a cache find before I left towne Razz
Bright and early this morning, the park was deserted and I had my shot at a coda:
I reckoned I could bash out a pretty good rendition of Mozart's 21st before I found the cache Big Grin
I gave up after the neighborhood dogs started barking and went looking for the cache instead Red Face
TFTC.
I got out of there just before the inevitable appearance of the council workers to tidy the park after the weekend crowds....

Crikey !! Again !!
More muggles than you can poke a wand at here this Sunday Lunchtime [:o]
So I kept on riding Big Grin

Found it Big Grin! This is one of the best caches I've hunted in a while. Thankfully I had the geokid with me to cover my searching. Very nice hide. TNLN SL TFTC

How many times have I actually looked at this cache!!!! Red Face
So cache blind at times! Red Face

Today with geograndson enjoying all the activities of this place, I had another go at finding this cache and got it! Big Grin
Today the biggest problem was actually returning the cache to its hidey hole.
Eventually the deed was accomplished.

Took a while due to the muggles all over the place including at 9pm.

Found it logged it.

07-Jan-11
Our first logged cache. Who knows what all the muggles were thinking. Took us a few scans of the GZ and had to wait a while for a group of kids to finish playing, but managed to find it easily enough. TFTC.

This was the BEST and MOST AWESOME playground EVER!!!!!!!! Thankyou for bringing me here. It had everything! Rock climbing, flying foxes, Climing ropes and even a maze!!!! TFTC!!!!

A nice and easy find at an awesome location. Keep it up! TFTC

05-Jan-11
My boys loved this place and I enjoyed the cache, even though I often hate high muggle areas. I got lucky today. First of all, what helped was the fact that the ratings for this cache are spot on. So many in Bathurst are poorly rated for terrain or difficulty or even size. This helped me know where to look, so when I had the chance I quickly snatched it. I had to outwait a few kids to get it back though. Anyway, all was well. Thanks

05-Jan-11
When we arrived my first thoughts were that we would not be able to find it. The boys went off to enjoy the many delights of this park. Picture this: Great adventure park, mid school holidays, plenty of bored kids and a dry day. We stood there both agreeing immediately where it must be. Despit kids everywhere, geohubby moved in for the kill. I don't mind saying that apart from having to wait for the pesky kid in the grey T shirt to stop watching, this was his greatest moment of stealth. TFTC A great spot!

Talk about cache creep! Can you please put this back exactly where you find it? Many thanks. Popped by to trade a TB and found that the two expected geocoins are already gone. Since cache and contents are all fine, I assume that someone has picked these up and has yet to log them...

10-Nov-10
Last time I tried on a wet morning there were no kids but just as I started looking a truck pulled up and a dozen council workers swarmed over the area. I gave up. On my return this time with friends we eventually found it but it was hard to look inconspicuous without a little one in astroller.

10-Nov-10
Smile A group of adults don't look TOO out of place in a park! Ha! Ha! Grabbed the cache and moved away to sign the log and had to wait a while to return it. Luckily the turnover of people around the area seemed quite quick.

10-Nov-10
Nice playgroung for the kids. I didn't know it was so big.

10-Nov-10
I've spent a lot of unsuspecting time in the area. I'll have a new appreciation of the place.

Extremely well thought out - and many thanks for the information about wheelchairs - it was spot on. Please hide some more we really enjoyed the hunt.icon_smile_big.gif

3731. [font=Comic Sans Ms][green]Parked in a position to walk to this one (well I know what I mean anyway) and wandered over for a find although not that quick. Only scared myself once with the Quasimodo sound effect on a quiet morning. Not sure about how the hide was supposed to be be returned it as it was but that didn't take advantage of the things attached to the cache.

Found a little while ago, but must have forgot to log it due to Halloween activities. Apparently it is not kosher to play music when this one is being retrieved! Had a great time being big kids.

Out for a weekend's caching with Black Bunny. We could have chosen better weather - it rained and hailed and poured and there was thunder and lightning, and we got wet and muddy, and had no dry clothes to put on. On top of that, we took the dogs, so we had wet muddy dogs, with that distinctive wet dog smell, in the car all weekend as well. Black Bunny was very keen to get a few caches, as his average was dropping, whatever that means! I think we managed that, as he came home with a smile on his face.

This area was deserted today, so we thought we had a clear run at the cache, but a local muggle had his beady eye on us until we moved over the rise, and out of his sight. We found the cache on the ground, probably a result of all the rain lately, so we replaced it where we thought it ought to go - hope that's all right.

Out for a weekend's caching in Orange with Just a Cacher on a very wet weekend with some very wet dogs in tow. Tackled this one in the rain so no muggles around and we made a quick find. SL TFTC

went back at the crack of dawn, found the cache exactly where expected. took a GC, left Cache Movers GC.

18-Oct-10
had the general location pointed out to me from the description and a kid who happened to be playing on it when i visited. will come back when there's less muggles about for the find.

14-Oct-10
Nice easy find as the pouring down rain kept the muggles away well al except someone out with their dog. What a great park to take kids though.

10-Oct-10
Indeed, Code1 is correct: This cache is designed to measure the ups and downs of the music (you'll see what I mean). A look at the bottom of the cache containers will give you a clue on how to properly replace it. I've put it back in place tonight, and added a few TB.

This was found by our youngest team member while out and about with hanjac.

06-Oct-10
school holidays ! bah humbug ! 27 gazillion kids and parents about , doh

06-Oct-10
This cache took three visits (not to GZ itself) to get a chance to hunt ! Mrs r took the find as i played the big child and played out a tune, the cache is VERY well thought out and placed well ! as has been said before, you MUST pick your time to come to find as this is muggle central from virtually day light to dark. Thanx for the cache and the buzz of max stealth. More please

06-Oct-10
With the kids in tow we grabbed an Ice cream down town and headed for the Playground. The park almost deserted just after 8pm and with some stealth and timing the find and grab was made. We retreated into the maze to complete the formalities unscene and we were the fourth name to be entered in the logbook. On emerging from the maze there were more kids running around playing so even after dark it can be muggle central.
It then become a waiting game and some 30 minutes later, they had enough of playing hide and seek in the dark and left. A quick check and with nobody around the cache was returned as found and is out of sight but I'm not convinced it is how its meant to be hidden so the owner might need to check on it.

Saw another pop up and could not decide. Went for the other and I now feel like a kiwi at the com games. Winning silver. Arrived at GZ with geokids as cover and discovered a great hide. No blank log though. 10 minutes behind SRouters. Con Grats. Not to worry, still crossed off a date.

Had a young geoMcBain with me who was instrumental in the find so the log was also signed for the clan.

Keep these caches coming as they are getting better and better. Love them.
