Logs
It's the time for Mr Hunters' to take his big annual leave chunk for the year, 1.5 years into his first full time social work role in his home city of Canberra. This year, I decided to jump on my parents' holiday to Perth (next week) but beforehand, I wanted a solo geocaching splurge. I spotted the LGA series not too far from Perth, so I soon booked accommodation for 5 nights in Boddington with the intention to finish the entire series within that time. I was really looking forward to some quiet time for solo geocaching and to have simple pub meals in a quiet country town, I've been extremely busy over the past few months and given my job involves a lot of emotional energy, I wanted to visit a secluded location as far away from home as you can get, absolutely brilliant.I leave Boddington tomorrow so today, I took a lovely country drive to the mines, Quindanning, Williams and Wandering to collect some of the caches near the LGA series that I skipped during my big run on the series, plus some extra ones that I wanted (i.e. virtual and AL). Whilst here, there were some people filming a documentary, but they didn't stay for long and I wasn't interfering apparently, so all good! No worries with finding all of the numbers, but I soon realised that I misread the letters for the last question so my coords were well off initially. I also have a feeling that the value for F is incorrect in the listing, but it was easy to figure out which number it was meant to be. Once I had my numbers sorted, it was a quick find. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Great little spot. So interesting to learn about this little cemetery and the people buried here. Thanks for the cache.
On my way down South. Couldn’t get coords but found the treasure by having a look in the obvious places.

Williams now camping in the caravan park
Last day on the LGA trail, will not do the lot but gave it a good shot.
Managed to google the answers before arriving here.
In the afternoon we did some very good caches around the town area of Williams
Thankyou to the CO's for placing these caches.

Heading home from our caravanning holiday with 2 dogs and cat these were the final holiday caches to be found, having covered quite a wide area from Mandurah to Jurien Bay across to Bruce Rock and down to Narrogin and then home. Thanks to the CO’s for placing and maintaining caches.
Today TaurusSix and I were in several minds as to what the best geocaching plan of action should be, given the inclement weather . Inclement weather is probably an understatement it has been raining non stop for the last couple of day and even throughout the night heavy rain could be heard. One of our aims was the replace one of our missing caches in Narrogin, so we knew we needed to head in that general direction. We also thought along the way it would be a good idea to collect another short string of the LGA series near to Williams. So as we left home we were with our fingers and toes crossed that the rain would clear and at least in the first part of the morning we were rewarded with a dry spell. So proverbially we made hay while the sun shined and tried to get as many as possible before the next deluge . Then onto Narrogin to replace our cache and collect the new Adventure Lab there.
This is our second cache find of the day. We really do enjoy visiting cemeteries they are always peaceful serene and of course full of history. This one is certainly a little quirky. Clearly a couple of prominent families from the area hurried here. We gathered all the clues, but somehow they were not making sense, we revisited the clues and came up with the same answer so then we looked in all the trees around and came up with the cache. TFTC

Day 2 on our big bods weekend caching with the BODS11 team.
We used a little brain power here and made quick calculations to find the cache exactly at ground zero.

Found it by searching all trees as the catherine grave age minus 1.5 does not give a number you can actually use to find cache

Very interesting little cemetery with strong family connections. Data collection was quick and straightforward. Accurate final coordinates led to a quick find. Thanks for an interesting multi.
Didn’t get the right coords but a search of every tree eventually led to the find! Was great to look closer at this cemetery! Tftc
Overnighted in Quindanning before heading to Williams early for coffee. Neat cache Jedi Jim
Think I may have had one of the numbers wrong but it was way too hot to look again. Not sure if it's considered cheating.. but I made an educated guess as to where the location would be. Couldn't believe my luck when I found it safe and sound. TFTC
Eureka! After a previous navigational failure when we ended up driving up the side of someone's farm paddock, it's taken us well over a year to get back here. Today I left my phone at home so we had to redo the numbers... and as Himself is still in Canberra we ladies are quite number challenged as well! Fortunately we have tenacious genes and more than a bit of common sense so we eventually found it. A very lonely and sad cemetery this one... and as a ancient genie I've seen quite a few in my time. Thanks for bringing me to a new one I've never visited before.
We partly worked this out online then did the last bit while on site.
We had a bit of a messed up number but decided that it was wrong and applied a better coordinate that seemed to fit better. Cache was not far away so it was a short walk to find it.
Thanks for a cache that wasn't too hard as the heat was uncomfortable.

Hi there Jedi Jim.
We found your cache **"Beyond The Grave 1"** today. (This makes our find count 22960).
Today we headed out from Williams and attempted our first loop of the LGA group of caches - but we also had to find this one. As it's not part of the series it deserves a finely crafted log, not one of the crappy cut-n-paste ones that usually are associated with power trails. We had a great time wandering around looking at all the graves. Kristopher gave us some trouble, but we got the right numbers in the end.
We found 90 caches today & DNF'd 0. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Back again. This time I came prepared for those bloody magpies! Cache in good condition, with a couple of lamb cache guardians nearby. TFTC
Was on my way home after doing another two legs on the nearby LGA series.
This was my last cache for the day, how apt.
I do like these cemetery caches. Brings one back to earth I think.
Many thanks JJ.

Thanks for taking us here. Nice to get a find on this previous DNF. Last time we took a stab where a previous thought it was but got the wrong place. Today it was a quick find with coordinates
Another case of us signing the book twice as we forgot to sign online on our previous visit. Some of the family names here are quite familiar. TFTC
Jedi Jim this is my 6th cache of 47 finds of the day and brings my total find count to 1,002. The container is in good condition. SLTFTC.
I had thought that 1 grave gone missing and the listing instruction was a bit off, but I am happy to have eventually found this multi. SL TFTH Jedi Jim.
Found during a leisurely drive from Boddington to Williams and Quindanning and back. An enjoyable multi. Had to fend off questions from curious muggles whe were visiting the cemetary. Found easily - SL. TFTC and the multi -adding to our favourites because I always find cemetary multis interesting
Headed out over the long weekend with Granett and Kyzabra for a bit of camping and a lot of caching.

While doing the nearby LGA series we just had to stop in for this multi. Have to admit I had calculated the final coords through the magic of the internet prior to our departure.

Organised a full caching day with ssclan to find as many of the LGA series as we could. So left the Northern suburbs around 5am arriving at the first cache around 7:15am (after breaky at Armadale maccas). Found the last cache around 5:15pm, and got home around 7:30pm.
Ended up with 329 finds in about 10hrs! Managed to complete the entire Southern section and a good amount of the Western side, apart from 5 that were unreachable due to some flooded roads. Luckily all the rain hadn't effected the roads. Also picked up a few other caches in the area.
A great days geocaching, smashed my previous day record of 150, and also passed the 5,000 finds mark too!
Thanks to the Fellowship for putting all these geocaches out, a massive effort I'm sure.

Found it. TFTC Jedi Jim. Well, as usual I stuffed up my maths. I thought I would juggle the figures and it paid of. Nice little piece of history here.
Messed up the calculations first up. Had a rethink and look at the coordinates of where we were, did a bit of juggling in the geocompass app and soon had the goods in hand. SL. Thanks for this stop on the way to Boddington.
Went on a road trip with grandma allinaday. We stopped at many places that I had never been before. We saw and admired many different wildflowers and orchids when we were looking for caches. The fields were nice and green, and I loved the yellow canola fields too. It was fun looking for the caches too. TFTC
Enjoying a rain free day today. Headed out to this multi from Williams where we are based for a few days. Lots of history to be found here, and really enjoyed this pioneer cemetery. Strolled around and found all the required info. Converted to a nice quick find. Thanks for bringing us to this spot, and TFTC
Day Nineteen of our holiday in Western Oz.
Bettyboo3747 and I loitered around Quindanning, and we did a few more of the LGA series.
A very variable day with spitting rain to bright sunshine, several times!
The road although a bit damp were still fine for 2WD (except for one that was closed)
Our third day on the LGA series. We started near the pub and concentrated on the north western corner. finishing the day with a few we had missed, and one cemetery multi.
Our last cache for the day. (saving the best until last!)
An interesting cemetery as there is only about 3 families here! Took a while to locate the correct graves.
It would not be hard to make a family history from these graves.
An short walk and a find of a cache of good size and in good condition.
Thanks, Robmc.

#13391. Day 19 of our WA holiday and our second day based at Quindanning.
After a day of gathering caches in the LGA Series we came out here to do this multi. We had passed it by yesterday and noted this little historic cemetery and I had to call past anyhow. I have several cemetery caches myself, back home.
A day with variable weather but more fabulous scenery - green and gold fields, farmers moving their sheep and stopping for chats with us - they were friendly and fully aware of geocaching activities in the area (along with orchid hunters at this time of year).
Thanks Jedi Jims

After making a surprise visit to the Quindanning Hotel last night, where we had a very good meal in the company of m4yb & megawat60, we spent a very agreeable evening in their company & arose to an equally good breakfast & decided to go and find this cache together. The quaint little graveyard was pretty much waterlogged. We had no trouble finding the information but I made a bit of a botch of my sums. Thank goodness we brought the bookeeper with us. TFTC Jedi Jim
Stopped here with pommieparkin2 and megawat60 after a pleasant night at the Quindanning Inne. It was raining, but the info was quickly gathered and the cache found. Thanks for this cache and a favourite point for the history.
We drove past this one last night and commented that there was no LKA at this cemetery, however over a great meal at the Quindanning and a surprise visit form the PP2 team, who had done more research for the area and our mobiles didn't pick it up. So we stopped here on the way to our attack of the LGA series, nice bit pf rain but I did have my nice big brolly so stayed reasonably dry.
Calcs done and m4yb made the find, then we were off again.
Thanks Jedi Jim

The drive from Mandurah to Kojonup ticked all the boxes for us today. Clean, dry, cleverly hidden caches, history lessons and interesting locations.
Lid was off the cache as if someone was trying to get out - all is sealed again now! The sheep were queuing up to join us where there was obviously better feed.
Thanks Jedi Jim for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

TFTC! Had a grand weekend away with Cravo10, mugglewife and ItsKate visiting Albany and just about everywhere in between.
We left Perth on Friday travelling via every known backroad and side road known to the maps and maybe even a few not quite so known! Managed to grab a bunch of caches between Perth and Albany on the western side of the highway including a FTF at Boscabel, yeah Boscawhere?? Never heard of it either.
Got into Albany significantly later than we otherwise should have, but managed to get up early the following day to grab a bunch of caches around frenchmans bay, sand patch near the windfarm and further down towards Nullaki and finally around to Denmark.
Got the car nice and dirty on the back roads near the windfarm much to the delight of mugglewife!! NOT!!
Unfortunately the weather didn't work in our favour as we had planned a trip out to bold head to cleanup all out there followed by some kayaking to pickup the Camp Q adventure trail caches but the stars weren't aligned properly for that. But there's always next trip!!
We got up early the following day and grabbed a few caches around town before heading on the road back to Perth, not just Albany highway but every road east of the highway along all the back routes through cranbrook, tambellup, Katanning, Narrogin, high bury and finally back through Willian's with some side detours on the way!!
Had a great weekend and even managed to sneak in a visit with the inlaws who were more than accomodating. Thanks to all of the COs for the caches and we can't wait to come back soon. Thanks

After recently returning back to Perth after my stay was cut short in Albany by a year it was finally time to return. Catching up with old friends, cache maintenance, FTF opportunities And more green dots to convert to smiles lead to a great reason to head back down the highway.
barnzy12 and I had both been planning trips back to Albany and soon realised we had picked the same weekend.(well that's they story the partners are getting)
The drive down was not the quickest due to the intense deviation needed to clear the map however very enjoyable never the less.
All caches were found and replaced in good condition. Thanks to the CO's for bringing me to the great locations that I got to see and drive past.
Happy hunting, Cravo10

After spending a wonderful night at the Quindanning inn I was a little disheartened to not find the one at the church, so when I stopped here and had my final coords wanting me to go miles away I thought I had hit another DNF. Thank gosh for the correction made by someone in previous logs! Definitely not minus 23!!! After that correction the coordinates are bang on
Another cache diversion on our way home from Albany. All worked out and we made a quick find at the end. Thanks Jedi Jim we enjoyed wondering around this old pioneer cemetery.
Driving the quiet country roads, filling in some time before heading towards the big smoke. When we started geocaching we did not like the idea of cemetery's but now we quite enjoy them. There is so much history to be found in those. We enjoyed this one too and walked around the graves to find the clues. Although the initial calculation gave us a final location a bit far away, common sense brought us to the correct location. Just reading down the logs later I noticed we were not the first ones with this "issue". Anyway, nice hide, TFTC Jedi Jim.
Camped at Boddington overnight and left the cat in the van today again whilst we headed from Boddington to Williams then across to Darkan for some smilies.
On the way back to Boddington now but could not go past this one even though it's getting darker now.
Raced around to collect the clues but the result would have had us travel 30+kms away so we deduced that there is an error with Christopher William Lavender. Seems you need to deduct 43 not 23 as in the listing. Have emailed the CO, but looks like it has been wrong since it was published. [xx(]
Still findable and a great spot to visit.

This one gave us alot of grief but got there in the end! Our last cache of our Australia Day long weekend get away!! TFTC Jedi Jim!
Would have been quicker if we'd just guessed the final location without following the clues but we did it the correct way to check out some of the graves. Shame so many died so young. Thanks for the cache Jedi Jim.
The co ords were a little out but still an interesting one . Check out old mate who lived to 102
It was certainly warm by the time we got to this well tended cemetery. Did the rounds to locate the information, found the mistakes by both the CO and jinta29 (different figures though) and came up with a set of finals that took us straight to a well hidden container. Parked the geo-mobile under the large gum for some shade and stayed to enjoy our lunch before heading to Harvey.
Thanks Jedi Jim - also think its time the listing was amended.
Grave site 3: Kristopher William Lavender. “FG” equals year of death 19?? minus 43 (not 23).

Found this while heading home from the Bushranger series. A neat wee multi that I really enjoyed (apart from the flies).
As per previous logs, the final cords were going to put me a looong way away from GZ. However, I had enough info to put me in the right area and I soon had the log signed. TFTC Jedi Jim

To get the correct coordinates for the final please note that the clue for Grave 3 should read:
Grave site 3: Kristopher William Lavender. “FG” equals year of death 19?? minus 53 (not 23).

Kyzabra, Rudi63 and I set out on what turned out to be a 12 hour caching run ... departed Kyzabra's residence shortly after 5am and arrived back sometime after 5pm. 75+ logs were signed along the way. Had a few laughs along the way and swapped a few caching stories ... all up an epic and most enjoyable day's caching.
Our aim was to grab all of the 'Australian Bushranger' caches and as many others as we could along the way.
We drove past this cemetery after completing the Bushrangers and a few other caches around Williams, and Kyzabra commented that this would be a good place for a cache. About 5 k's later, he said "wejust passed a multi back there" ... after a quick consultation with team it was decided to head back. Took us a few minutes to grab the required details ... plugged the results into our GPSrs and found that we had to travel 31 k's to the cache. No way, that cant be right, so we tried something else and that seems much more manageable ... rudi63 headed toward what we hoped would be the correct GZ ... we weren't disappointed.
I made the grab when we got to the final. Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Jedi Jim .

Thanks for the cache Jedi Jim ... sorry, I attributed my log to wrong CO when I wrote it ... have fixed it now.

Out for a day of caching with Kyzabra and Firnsy, the decision was made to cache down the Albany Highway. History lessons a plenty as we found the dedications to those Bushrangers that have dotted our relatively short history. We also managed to grab a few other caches along the way. Over 12 Hours on the road, but lots for smiley faces achieved.
A nice multi on our way home, We discovered the inforation and inputted the co ordinates, but these seemed be incorrect, the final was many kilometres away, but a look at the information we had, a change and the pointer was indicating a more lickely spot,. The cache was soon discovered and we continued on our way home
Thanks for the cache Jedi Jim,[^]

Headed out on a day of caching today with Rudi63 and Firnsy. The bushranger series was our primary target and any nearby caches were on the way as well. 12 hours on the road returned 79 logs for me with only 1 DNF. All in all, a great days caching with great company.
Rudi kept us abreast with our history by reading the cache page before arriving at each GZ.
We had finished the series in Williams and were taking a round way back home to pick some more up.
This was one of those.
While driving home, we said "what a great place for a cache". It was only 5 km past when we realised"Oh, there was one there "
U-turn and back we wnt. WOrked as a team to get the requied info and wandered across to GZ to make the find.
TFTH JediJim. a nice multi and fav from me.

TFTC first multi cache iv attempted really enjoyed it with bigbenwilliams fun find with lots of good swaps took temp tattoos filled cach up with extra swag for the next cacher
We enjoyed this nice little multi after also enjoying lunch at the Quindanning pub. A beautiful bright sunny day.
We took a couple of minutes to find the answers to the last question but on opening our eyes we soon solved the puzzle
Thanks for bringing us to this historic little site Jedi Jim.[^]

Out for the day 4WD with friends, stopped off to find this cache after lunch at the Quindanning Pub. Found cache with part of the Skulduggery Team.
A nice cache in a very quiet but historic cemetery, well worth a visit.
