Three of us looked, found some likely hiding places but no cache. this cache has DNF's as far back as August.
We thought this should be easy, but we failed to turn it up. So I checked the number of DNFs and we left.
looked high and low but didnt come up with anything. Lovely spot none the less.
Razors_girl23 found this one even before I had the GPS out! Lovely views over the river from this spot

Didn't need the GPS after reading the description. Found straight away. Nice spot. TFTC.
Stopped for lunch at this great place. Service is slow and plenty of time to find a great cache. What a spot to behold. No lizards visible today too cold bridge rattling well so closed the door firmly.
Braved the rain to spend an afternoon caching in Morpeth. As it turned out the rain stopped on finding our first and started again just as we signed off on our last of ten (at Graffiti Trail).
An easy quick find and no muggles about. Thanks morgans2320.

Found whilst out caching in this area. Whilst there was a few muggles around being a nice sunny day, we were able to retrieve the cache. Quickly signed the log then replaced.
Great view of the river and bridge from here.

Anzac Day Port Macquarie to Morpeth.
This was the last cache of the day, Haven't been to this little park before.
After going to the Dawn Service in Port Macquarie it's been along day, so its now back to our friends house to enjoy Happy Hour

I came late in the day and had the place to myself. Searched everywhere but it was under my nose right from the start. TFTC
Easy find, left a turkshead for the next vistor and put the door back. Don't want the lizard to get scared.
What a pretty spot on a sensational day.
Mrs GUIO was helped by miss 4 at this cache.
We continued on for another 8 caches and came back here for lunch.
Bakery and coffee made and meal of it we did.
Thanks for placing this cache.

As we approached a good sized lizard was sunning himself on the top of the stairs. As we approached, it jumped off. As the bridge doesn't rattle as much now, a lot of smaller lizards were out and about too.
We shut the door on returning it but did notice the bridge doesn't rattle anymore.

Didn't have much time, so just a quick look with the iPhone as my guide. Unfortunately no success. The location is lovely and the view of the bridge is great - something the Lizard must have taken into account when selecting his realty.
Lots of muggles today but the sneaky hide avoids them. Found after a very nice lunch at Arnotts.mmmmm
Thanks for the excuse to visit Morpeth

Having arrived in Morpeth & parked the car, we started strow around the town. Just for fun, C62 got his GPS out to see if there were any caches handy. The nearest one was 1m away, just where I was standing. With care to avoid any sighting by muggles, I soon had the cache in hand & adjourned to a nearby table to sign the log. With this done & the cache returned, we then decided on the next event - lunch. TFTC

Arrived in Morpeth with Geotooter for a visit to the town. We parked in the main street not far from the old bridge and walked down to a spot to see the river. I turned on my GPSr to see if there were any caches nearby and discovered I was standing 1m away from GZ for this hide. Now that's never happened before. Read the description and found the cache within seconds. Sat at a picnic table to complete the formalities then waited for a few muggles to depart. Geotooter quickly returned the cache and closed the lizard's door. He's tucked up safe and sound ready for the next cacher.

Found on a sunny Friday afternoon, spending time in Maitland to see Elton John in the Hunter! What a great weekend!

Took a little while to find the right place but what a great view from the little park! TFTC
Easy find - always loved this location. Live in the area and I feel I don;t visit enough. Or too much, one or the other
Took me a little to find this one, eventually got it after a battle with the lizard. TFTC.

Webguy waited as The Hancock Clan and I ducked out to nab this one as we were passing by.
Not too many rattles from the bridge tonight.
Thanks.

Mrs Burners and the geo kids looked for this one a while back, but all we found was a lizard. Today, we found the bounty first look. Go figure. The lizard was on a day off today. Thanks Morgans
another find for geo mum today, she just happened to look on the correct side and let me continue to search high and low whilst sitting behind me signing the log, thanks morgans
Quite a LOT of muggles in the streets and even a few boats on the river.
Luckily the cache is out of sight of both and a quick easy find. Quick look about the park before heading to the next on the list.

3rd attempt at this one. finally found it thanks for helping morky70...tyfc go team stevens
Reperio at 0940. Wow...this really makes some noise when you go over it. Expecting the cache to be hidden closer or under the bridge and having my ears rattled off my head, found the cache nicely hidden away a little further away.
Gratias.

Today we are exploring the Hunter Valley. Taste wine, enjoy the landscape and do some caches. We also met a large group kangaroos! A fantastic day! Thanks for showing us this rattling bridge. TFTC!
Found cache - tried previously, but too many muggles. Grabbed this one nice and early on Christmas Eve.

Found while out caching with The Cashman and The Don.
Easy find on the banks of the river.

Found some local lizards sunning on the rocks below the bridge.

Found this while doing the more-than2320 tour of the Coalfields with TheWobblys and The-Don.
The bridge was rattling today. It is good to see that the works under the bridge keep the heritage value.
I wonder how long these repairs will last. It seems they are forever fixing it. The last major overhaul didn't last long.
Thanks morgans I love this location

#4691 Found this cache as part of the Rats, Steeba & FarmerFrentzen blitz on the Port Stephens area. With no one around we had no problems finding the cache, then a vehicle used the nearby bridge, wow I wonder how the locals sleep through that.
Thanks
Thanks
Found during a 17 hour caching spree with The Rats and steeba that yielded 124 finds.
Despite the time of our find in the early hours of the morning there were still quite a few cars out and about.
TNLN and thanks morgans2320 for the cache.

Found on a mammoth day's caching of 124 caches in 17 hours around the Maitland and Port Stephens area with The Rats and Farmer Frenzten .
I didn't think we would hear any rattling at 4:45am in the morning but sure enough after the caching duties were done a car trundled/ rattled over. TFTC!

As we arrived near GZ there were a few groups of muggles looking at the bridge and information so we took a rest in the shade. After 10 minutes we were alone so we made a move on the cache and geo-wife had it in hand quickly. The cache was returned and we headed off while the area was deserted. TFTC morgans2320. [794]
Checked cache and found it in place. Lizard was guarding the entrance. See photo.

Found at 2.50pm GAFF1 in the company of Big Matt and Shell. Now this was an adventure. As we approached GZ Matt noticed some commotion at the edge of the wall and asked what was going on. A snake was being observed by a group of muggles slithering amongst the rocks in the wall below. A light latte coloured snake about 5ft long I guess - a taipan? a brown? a python? Anyway it was marvelous how nobody was making a big fuss about it and just loved observing nature. Then as I approached GZ I got really jumpy as 2 large lizards were hanging on the wall of the staircase making them look like one larger reptile!! Now that was unexpected!
A short while later as I was tentatively pulling out the cache - it popped and another minor shock went through me - it's alive I thought!. Enough excitement for now and I am sure that Mrs Squalid would have loved this cache!
Thanks morgans2320 - this story will be retold!

This is our 4444th overall find.
Found at about 2:48 PM. Not just a lizards home today. As pprass and I visited this one today we found a group of people at the GZ looking in the bushes, they had the wrong idea we thought but they were looking at the 2m long light brown snake at the GZ! To me it looked like a Eastern Brown Snake. It crawled into a few holes and then disappeared. Future finders may want to be careful where they stick their hands.
Thanks to morgans2320 for the cache.

This bridge sure does rattle! We attempted this cache on a busy Sunday morning, but fortunately our search was hidden from any muggles. We spotted the lizard sunning himself on a rock. We weren't sure that we would be able to search with the safety fence, but we were able to find it without too much trouble. TNLNSL TFTC
My first 10/10/10 cache
Nice and easy find no lizard home today and no bridge workes either and out of the way of all the muggles around.

A FTF for TeamAJKW. Took off from work whilst it was quiet only to find it was not so quiet whilst I was gone. Whoops. Lizard was not in sight and whilst his view of the bridge is impressive that bridge certainly rattles the car when you have to cross it. TFTC Morgans2320
