As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
oh well it lasted quite long considering it was in plain sight.... will re-think once the lights are gone.
We were parked nearby so stopped to have a look for this cache too. Spent a fair amount of time looking but no luck. Given Xmas lights have now been added to GZ, I would suggest it would be a good idea to check on this cache. Anyway, the Future Finder had a good time by the fountain.
Put us down for a DNF on this one. There has been some recent pruning of the tree and also Christmas lights and wires have been attached to many of the branches. Not sure if the cache is still there or not?
Last cache for the day, and only DNF. Feel baaad that we didn't find, as we seem to be the only people that didn't manage to. Got a sore neck from spending ages looking up, before giving up.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
Out and about caching this morning, making the most of the good weather.
Quick easy find, the security guards appeared to be watching our approach from their windows but they disappeared when we approached GZ.

No guards on duty this evening, so it was a nice stroll to GZ. Wandered about before spotting it up high! Had a few attempts at jumping up from the good before I was successful in retrieving the cache! TFTC
This one is very close to the security guys office, and there was quite a few of them standing around outside just chatting amongst themselves. So they weren't watching me wandering around looking at the trees. Found it in short order, and got out of there quick.
I think it was out of place as it was in blind view. Log is damp but it was fun climbing as I was too short.TFTC.
We grabbed this one late at night on the way back from a trivial pursuit evening down the road. No problems with muggles. The logbook is a bit damp but otherwise fine. TFTC!
Quick night mission on the way home. Cool cache & quite tricky due to lots of people around. Cheers
Very fun one. Was on business trip from st Louis Missouri. Had meetings at Telstra clear and this was right nearby.
Good clue, spotted easily and was able to reach on tip toes. Log book quite damp but was able to sign. TFTC
Another quick find after a short walk from the previous find. Cool place!

Second attempt. Fairly muggle free this time (6pm on a Saturday) except for the security guard base that is within sight of GZ. Cache was a bit higher than I could reach (am only 5'8"), so back to the car for my TOTT (length of No.8 wire). Cache was soon in hand, log signed, and returned to its proper place. Log was a wee bit damp. TFTC.
Nice easy find. A little more difficult to retrieve it and find somewhere to complete the log book, due to the high security presence. Yay for our cover, small boys who want to search for cicadas!
The cache was higher than what the hint said. It actually required some climbing. A security guard came over and told us not to climb trees again. I had to put the cache lower than where I found it, on a branch. TFTC
this one left on the ground so found straight away but has been put back in its real place
Have been meaning to get this one for a while. But the timing has not been the best, few muggles about, but today was the day. Very quiet around GZ. Thanks for the adventure. TFTC!
Great find, just amazing that it's not noticed by the workers. Maybe they are
too busy to take the time to look at mother nature.

Just discovered GC2RH6C "It's Not a Traditional but a Challenge", and realised that with the caches done so far this month only four more caches are required. After a fruitless search for a bike for Miss Jacksonz at Hedgehog, and a pack for Master Jacksonz at Kathmandu, we grabbed a second cache from barkingmadnz "THH6:Madogga of the Chair (Auckland)", and then off to grab this one as a second from Rhodzrunner. Driving past Fox outlet we spotted Pack'n'Pedal. Swung in and successfully completed our shopping exhibition (a pack and a bike from Pack'n'Pedal - who'd've thought). And then capping it off with this easy find. Lots of muggles about even at this time of year (including a guy taking his golf clubs for a walk), but we had a good excuse of admiring the Christmas lights. The boucy ball was scrunching the log book a bit, so we swapped it for a tiki. TFTC.

Picked this up after the TelstraClear bike ride over the bridge. Busy enough for nobody to take any notice.
This was a quick find thanks to the hint and the fact that the container is in plain sight. The tree has been decorated in Christmas lights and these "overlap" the cache.

I was almost on my way back to get picked up from a day walking around lots of north shore caches, but had to get the few that were still along the way!
Ah, the water looked so nice and inviting! I just wanted to jump in! Pity I didn't bring my togs! Haha.
Well I didn't see any pigs or sheep, but I saw a bird in the next tree over!
TFTC!!

Quick and easy find once the GPS settled down and got me to the right point around the circle. Had me barking up the wrong tree to begin with.... . Managed to squeeze in a small item for trade along side the log book. Mini geograms loved the fountain!
Quick find in the rain, lots of muggles about so I was super stealthy. TFTC
6.41pm. This was easier than I expected it to be, did't even need the torch to see it.
I think those orange pipes nearby are for the electrical supply for the Christmas light display that is put on every year in Smales farm.
Well worth checking this out at Christmas, but it wouldn't be a great time to find the cache.

Found with Biggles while caching in the area. How things change. Nice fountain. TFTC
Found on day 3 of a 3 day Auckland cache raid with Kiwi Explorer. Probably a bit easier on the weekend in this business park. It must get pretty muggly at times. As it was a random woman seemed to be watching us from across the road. TFTC, Biggles.
One of 262 finds with Team Y-Cacho's during our 24 hour Auckland cache raid epic.

Out and about with the Y-Cacho's.
Drove past the site security office and noticed a couple of them sitting outside but they showed no interest in us at all. Very cheeky hide!!
Many thanks

Not too impessed with security staff ignoring a van full of cachers running around while obstructing the roundabout at 5.30 am! Maybe we just didnt appear unusual!!

Nice one - spent a bit of time looking on the outside of the circle yesterday. Had more luck today.
Nice easy find, we were expecting to hunt for this one a bit as it had a reasonable difficulty rating, but no we walked straight to GZ and Hello.
Apologies for the late log.
Not many people around this late on a holiday Monday afternoon. Spotted the container and managed a discrete retrieval. Thanks.

3489 Nice quick find and Mr G had no problems with the extraction! Very few muggles around in the early morning. TFTC
Another of 2 in the area to locate within walking distance of each other.
The right breeze direction from the fountain is refreshing on a hot fine day.

Thanks for the cache.
Was very hot so the nearby Quarry Bar came in very handy afterwards.

Quick find during a morning of caching in area. Can remember seeing cows here, beside the motorway as a kid. TFTC
Very easy find - I'm actually a little surprised it never got muffled when the Xmas lights were installed at the gz!
Great to have a little sit by the fountain on a hot day though whilst filling in the log

Quick find in a really lovely commercial area. It never looked like this when I resided in Auckland 11 years ago. Here with Tufty.
Out with BaldEd this morning visiting the caches close to home. The fountain is a nice place to write up the log.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
found it second time round, me and littlemelon had to sit underneath the tree and pretend to be talking until it was muggle free. luckily we spotted it from the ground, so it was a quick retrieve. TFTC
Came back the second time! We (Mantequillin and I) both looked at the wrong tree. Another face palm. Really easy find! Contained a grey bracelet in there.

Great cache page and story, easy find, when at GZ I found some workers installing lights on all the trees here, when I asked if they found something else there they replied "oh, you mean the Geocache, yeah we saw that, found it ,all our guys at work have been doing that at stages" so, it's all good! Thanks
With all the Christmas lights having been put up we half expected this to be gone but no, there it was! No one around this evening except the security guards! Luckily we were in and out quickly!

3.10pm.This is our 1100th cache!! Found more easily than most of the ones that have come before!! An enjoyable industrial park to wander around on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Some interesting fountains and sculptures.
Picked up an NZ lapel pin and left a gemstone bracelet.

with the gps back in action we finally got a chance to find this one. Easy find once we got there, what was stunning is that the gardeners hadn't seen it when installing the christmas lights! Must be the camo TFTC.
#635 Pottering about locally today. Thought we would give this one a go, quietish late Sat Afternoon. Quick find. Admired the fountain. SL. TFTC.
24-11-2010 18:33 Found: Very easy find--had it in hand in less than 10 seconds from arrival at the GZ. TFTC
found with mondoolix. no muggles around late last night so was able to walk straight up and grab the cache nice and easy - thanks!!! can imagine it would be infinitely harder during the day
Did not even need the GPS for this one. Spotted the cache before we had even parked the car. TFTC
Only animals were dogs(and their owners)qwik find then drove over a "thing " in the road & nearly ripped bottom off the car!tftc-I think!
