27-May-18
Came past this morning after a good night of laughter and stories.

The Fellowship of the Trail decided that it was time to arrange another camping event. I checked the dates and made sure I would be home from work.

27-May-18
Quick grab during the event

Team Bodgtech We found your cache Potter's Gorge Special thanks for placing this cache for myself and others to find.

27-May-18
A big weekend of caching, starting With a quick trip down to Albany, followed by a trip back to Wellington Dam near Collie to attend the BYO Marshmallows event at Potters Gorge campsite.

We brought a couple of muggles down with us for the camping trip to show them the ropes, think they were a bit taken back by how crazy we all are!

Thanks to the local COs, great weekend of activities and good fun. Thanks

26-May-18
This camping trip is so long overdue. The Fellowship of the Trail had been talking about it for so long and a date had finally been set. So with an event at Potters Gorge, there were nearby caches to be found.
A motley crew headed out for this one as it was in the area. PP2, Fratra and myself.
An initial search of gz revealed nothing and reading jasenjanine log we widened and found in an obvious spot.

Team Bodgtech, Kyzabra found your cache Potter's Gorge Special, at 8:18 am on 26/5/18. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

We’d love to see you at WA GOES BIG 2018 in Dunsborough on the weekend of 13th/14th October.

Ooh, an archived cache just 100 metres away from the impending event. Found after a bit of a search as co-ords were about 20 metres for us.

TFTC Team Bodgtech this is find # 4790 for us.

26-May-18
Strolled over to this one with kyzabra & fratra. We poked prodded & dug in various logs until it was finally located a fair distance away. TFTC

26-May-18
Camping at Potters Gorge this weekend for the BYO Marshmallows event tonight (GC7ME2K) and in my research discovered this archived cache nearby. Went out on my own to grab the smiley but spent several minutes searching before I found the container still doing an admiral job. Took a reading for future archive hunters.

Team Bodgtech I found your cache at 9:29am, this was the 1st of 9 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 4788. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Thought I'd try for 4 caches up this way but was raining when I got to this one and it was first on the list.

Didn't see the track as we drove up, well I was too busy reading gps but don't know what muggle partners reason was.
So wasn't too far off thankfully Smile

My gps was abt 20m out too but an easy find by using the hint.

Cheers for that Big Grin

Geo-hubby took a drive on some country roads, to pick up a few 'out of the way' caches.
A great day out, visiting some dams, some swimming holes and some country towns,
arriving back to the caravan after dark.
He found a good variety of hides and this cache was in good condition.
Thanks for the cache, Team Bodgtech.

TFTC Team Bodgtech. Came in here specifically to see the Dam overflowing but we were too late for that. Also wanted to check out the Potter's Gorge camping area for future reference. Great spot. Will be back with the caravan sometime. Just had to do the cache while here. Nice easy find. Smile Container a bit damp, probably condensation as it is pretty well protected. Still managed to sign the log, TNLN.

Headed out to Wellington Dam as we had heard that it was overflowing, decided to pick up a few of the easier caches along the way. My GPS had GZ some 24m from where the cache was finally located. Cache found thanks to the hint. Container had water in it but I was still able to sign the only slightly damp log. TNLN thanks Team Bodgtech for bringing us down here.

09-Sep-13
Lucky I had a pen that writes on wet paper.

About time this was fixed or cache archived.

01-Sep-13
Found after taking previous logs into account. For us it was 21m out. Log book was dry but cache container was full of water. TFTC

12-Jul-13
Found it Smile tftc, but the contents were quite wet :/

07-Jul-13
There is a lot of moisture in the cache and log. Needs something that keeps the water out better.

Easy find with the hints. TFTC

20-Jun-13
Thanks for the cache. Great spot to camp we'll have to come back here sometime. Got a bit exited about the prospect of camping here when I saw the hot showers but unfortunately they had been disabled due maintainence issues Sad
Walking up the hill I over shot the cache by a lot! The coordinates are 23mtrs out. The cache is not in a log as the hint suggests but where a mole might live. The log book is soggy as the cache is no longer waterproof. This might have been a disappointing cache if it wasn't such a beautiful place.

DNF @ 11:25...

First day after a near-freezing night of camping at Honeymoon Pool with a friend! Decided to check out the local area and this was our first stop.

Noticing there was a geocache right near the car, I told my friend I will only be a few minutes...

Turns out the GPS hadn't settled, so I had to traverse the 100m or so before I was close to the Listed Coordinates.

When I arrived, I searched the likely locations before realising previous finders commenting about it being 24m away and not in a log as the hint suggested!

At this point I pretty much gave up! If the coordinates are off and the hint is wrong, there is little chance of finding a cache in the woods in a short space of time! I only had the last few logs saved on my device and without a mobile phone signal I had no way of downloading more...

Will have to save this one for my next visit to the area...

Spent quite a while searching for this one and were about to give up when we eventually found it....24metres from GZ according to our GPS. We took the advice of Izzy the Adventurer in their log and that is how we came across it...as we were heading back to the geomobile.

Look for a little walking trail up behind the toilets/ picnic area and follow it up hill. According to our GPS we still needed to go another 24 metres. Take Izzy the Adventurer's advice....it is only a couple of metres from the track and you won't have to walk as far as the GPS thinks you will Big Grin. You will see when you are at the building that the cache isn't far up the track at all.

Many thanks for the hide Team Bodgtech...a delightful camping area. [^]

18-Mar-13
Certainly not in a log but found after a bit of poking around.

10-Mar-13
Looked in every log. Seeing comments today, noticed its "not"in the log,,,,oh well,, great excuse to go back and camp at Potters Gorge. Lovely camp spot

Not in a log! 1-2m from track. Where does a mole live?

03-Mar-13
Thanks for the coordinates as it was a bit hard to find but found it eventually TFTC Smile

02-Mar-13
No joy yesterday. After staying overnight at Potters Gorge and re-reading all comments from previous loggers we got a hint via the log of FelixII. Although not exactly at those coordinates we found the cache 10m from those coordinates at: S33.23.463 E115.58.937. The cache was even not hidden under a log as the hint suggest but the cache had a note: DO NOT REPLACE so we left it where we found it. All in all a Mystery cache I would say. TFTC Team Bodgtech.

This is much easier to find than you might think (thank goodness my wife started at the closest logs...while I was walking all over the bush). The way it's set up is not helpful. Smile

20-Nov-12
log book soaked

I'm still trying to understand why the listed coordinates are some 30m from ground zero in a forrest full of fallen logs????

Took a lot of searching to find this, as you could imagine, there is a lot of fallen logs in a 30m radius. Eventually found only 5m off the track, burried under leaf litter. Replaced with a more suitable material for the hide.

10-May-12
Found the cache .... The overhead cover played havoc with our GPS, so we had to resort to common sense & clue reading - all was good.

We took the TB "Australian Tag" and left nothing other than a signature in the log.

We had been looking for TB's to take on a trip and this was the 5th we had looked at & the only one that contained the tag as per listed. Sad but true.

What a lovely spot. There were only a couple of camps there, and it was so still & quiet - just the birds voicing their opinion about visitors in their forrest ! Beautiful

Camped at Potters Gorge last night and again tonight.

Have camped here numerous times before we joined geocaching. The last time there was an extreme games on whereby teams were doing a triathlon type event over 24hours around our camp??

No sports this time, but plenty of campers coming and going. Great campsite, albeit soooo popular.

Had a quick look for the cache this morning but no luck, another look tonight after a days caching and had quitters luck was about to give up when Mrs Felix finally spotted it, 35metres from our GZ.

Our Co-ords were S33 23.457 E115 58.936

The eldest son is really enjoying Decrypting the codes and had fun with this one. This was a great way to hide a cache, the kids went from spot to spot looking and really challenged each other to find it. I had to move them off the bull ants nest at one stage with a nasty ant attacking my nephew’s shoe. The smallest of our group found this one much to his delight.
Took some stuff left some stuff.
Left the Australian tag TB in this one.

02-Mar-12
A free afternoon to visit a couple of the Collie area caches that have been on our 'to do' list. After noting a previous finders log we walked a radius of 20 mts from gps gz to locate the cache. Took co-ords which should place future cachers a bit closer than those listed - S33 23.463 E115 58.935
