Hi yes the troll will be coming back hopefully this week, there has been alot of construction going on around the area and its seems to be all finished now.
4th find for the day, first sign as had a pencil with it. Insides a bit damp but ok condition.
there is a fair bit of construction going on around the troll so he is going on holidays for abit
Found with no problems. The extraction was not so good. With a bit of effort managed to get it back in the same spot I retrieved it from.

Found with Stairman1 and geodog. This one was quite tricky to retrieve. Stairman1 ended on his belly to retrieve the container. Signed the log then Stairman1 pushed the container back to its hole. Geodog scared out a rat and spent the whole time looking for it. TFTC
What an effort!
After walking from side to side, peering under I was still no closer to seeing it.
I decided it was time to read a few logs to see if it would help me in the right direction. It did and I wasn't happy about it, I almost decided to come back another day with one of the kids BUT there should be a PT in it and I want it. So I got down an crawled my way under. Found the troll but with no pt!
So my shirt and shorts were now covered in mud.
And I want to know who took the pt and didn't log

THANK GOODNESS!! I've hated this cache! Came in the dark and the rain for FTF and couldn't find it. Came another time in the day and couldn't find it. Came here with a previous finder and even they couldn't find it again. Today I came with my 7 year old grandson and I sent him in after the cache. He said he couldn't see it and I told him to stay there while I got a torch and he then eventually found it and we signed that darned log. I was so relieved to get this one marked off I left a pathtag.
We were going to stop for this on our way to the Sunshine Coast on Friday afternoon but it was coming down cats and dogs then and we thought to leave it for our return trip. Cloudy but not raining today so made the find. Grandson got a bit dirty, but aren't little boys always getting grubby anyway? lol!

Sent Geokid in for that one. I would have got in but not out again I'm sure.
Will be an interesting hide when Bunnings is up and going.

As per a previous logger, wish I had a 12 year old for this one. Way too hard for an old man like me TFTH

"Trip, trap, trip, trap! " went the bridge. "Who's that tripping over my bridge?" roared the troll. Brilliant little hide - easily found by 12 yr old geokid who rolled a handball and then pretended to retrieve it
An easy find. Too easy. Obviously hasnt been returned to its correct hiding spot. Owner has been informed.
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
Thanks For The Cache

Found with geo-family while on a caching holiday. Nice quick find and all looked to be in order with the cache.
Early morning stop for Gaz'n'Kab and myself here this morning and as we were all on our hands and knees searching away, Kab came up with the goal. TFTC.
Finally got back to have another go at this one this afternoon. After a bit of contortion-ism the circus would proud of the cache was in hand. TFTC TNLN
We arrived bright and early with Captain Terror this morning, and quickly had the cache in hand

A quick find while out and about on the Gold Coast. As per the previous finder, I think I searched all the possible locations before striking lucky.
Thanks

Amazing how many places there are to not put a cache at this GZ. I certainly checked most of them before finding the cache. I had plans to walk up a very steep mountain on Sunday and this cache did nothing for my knees' atitude. Please try to find some softer rocks next time, okay? TN/LN/SL and hobbled back to the Junkie van .
A great spot, Good to find a cache that one can see, had a day of nano's, thought I was going cross-eyed.

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 2:29pm. We have looked for this cache before but got it this time. TFTC
A nice quick find on a lazy day caching around town, had a few DNFs though.
Enjoyed all the caches today

Had to brush myself off after retrieving this one,but if they were all too easy,it would be too easy.TFTC.shaggy derf.
You have to be joking. I am 70, and there was no way I could retrieve this cache. Had to ask my son to do the honours.
By far the hardest grab I have been invovled with. Could see the bugger, just found it hard to get to. TFTC.
What a cracker - tough hide - i have bruises to show for it - made very worthwhile when i know even the great Aussie Liahona could not find
Wow, what a crazy hide, not sure if this was the intended spot or not. Well done dave on the find.
We found this one within a few minutes of arriving! Apparently the key is to bring small children. 9 year old geocaching son got his hands on it in no time! TFTC!
since I've moved it a tad people seem to be having trouble with this ... So I've upped the rating 3 & 3
Oh dear. The troll got the better of me again today. Those jolly rocks are so uncomfortable. And for a larger lady there's not much room under. Did a few caches around and about this afternoon and had to come nearby to pick up my granddaughter from school. No luck for me today AGAIN! Now that I'm back home and have read some of the more recent logs I think I will give this ONE more try. But just ONE. Previous finder was with me today again, and between them, myself and my granddaughter we left empty handed. If only my grandson lived nearer. He'd have the bridge dismantled and the cache found in no time, lol. Don't change it's location again shaggy derf - I've more of an idea of where to look now. One more try. Have to wear the really old clothes for this one I think.
Where is it? I have bumps and splinters and can only say this cache has tested me to the limit. This was my 5th visit here. I have managed to find it earlier and have been back twice with Aussie Liahona but the last two visits have been fruitless. I know the owner has checked on it so it must be there. Aussie L had to pick the flora from my shirt on the way back to the vehicle. Ah well it was good to get the old body doing some contortions.
DNF from us today. Too many rocks for us to get down on comfortably in today's heat.
cache is there safe and sound ..... the troll just went away from the edge since all these people now are scarying him
Just saw the DNF from asphyxia.
I brought Aussie Liahona here today, sure that I could help with a find.
No sign of the cache where I had found it earlier.
We both looked and looked, poked and prodded, but no success.
Wonder if it is "buried" a la Radnoski?

Was in the area so stopped off here for a second go at this one. The last time I was here was at night in the rain. A lot more pleasant today. I couldn't find it. I was here today with a previous finder of the cache and she couldn't find it today either. So, shaggy derf, I guess you really did hide it PROPERLY this time. Oh well, another day.
Looked for a while, but stones really hot and sun pretty unpleasant. No find for me.
A day out with Lokipagan. This was the first of the day. We both took one side each and lokipagan got it first . Thanks for the hide!
This one took two looks before being spotted. A little bit of water in the container but the log was fine. Thanks shaggy derf
Thought we would start the new year off on a good footing
Headed back to this one at 7am no one about

Today this one was where it was supposed to be (ie somewhere I can see it). Having got really wet at my previous two stops I thought I couldn't get any wetter and might as well try for this one. Cache was very wet inside but was above the water mark when I found it. I dried out the inside of the container, however the log was dry so I signed without any trouble. Think I added a little dinosaur and took something small. It felt good to get this one after my last failure. Unfortunately so many of our caches here on the Coast have been affected by the prolonged steady wet weather. This one could last for a long time here as long as it gets plastic items that won't rust.
Had tried to retrieve this cache several times.
New location but could not reach it .
Luck was on our side today as cache had fallen from its hiding spot and was easy to reach
Unable to return it to correct hiding spot so placed it slighty to the left but at same level
Is safe from getting wet also .
Hope this is ok

With abit of huffing and puffing I managed to get it but wait, their a "troll" waiting agreat big one, a hairy one looking abck at me I gave it a nuggle but he bearly moved I gave him another nuge, this time he moved a little SO I GAVE HIM A GREAT BIG PUSH and off he went, I quickly grabed the cache sign it + swaps and returned it back quickly. PS the "troll" was a great big huntsman that didn't want it leave it's garde.

The circus is in town.. The big top is a stones throw away from the cache.
I could have found me a contortionist to get the cache.
Got down a down dirty myself. Saw the spot easily and then had to retrieve the cache. TNLN.
Put it back there again.

I checked this cache today because people said it was easy... which shouldnt be the case.
I put this cache at it's location so it isnt easly found or fall, if you cant be stuffed putting it back at GZ dont do this cache simple!

A nice early attack on this one and a very quick find. I am not sure the container was where it was supposed to be as it looked kind of awkward where it was, so I tucked it back into a neat little spot to keep it safe from the trickles of any running water...
Cheers shaggy derf.
Cheers shaggy derf.
I was out and about on the pushbike this morning.
Enjoying the roller coaster ups and downs of this theme parked area
This cache was at the bottom of one of the dips [:o]
Ooooh!! Troll territory!!
I always find that trolls are easily distracted if I leave the pushbike nearby with one of the wheels lifted off the ground and left to spin around.
While the troll is hypnotised by the flashing spokes, it is easy to sneak in and grab the cache they were guarding
Be sure to give the bike wheel a good spin though.
If it stops before you rehide the cache then you're in trubble [:o]
No such problems today and I left with all my fingers and toes still attached

I was looking a bit shaggy myself after a run in with the cache location. GZ was still a bit muddy, rocks everywhere, and those wretched cobblers pegs. I hate it when they get in my socks and I have to pull them out. From the inside of my socks. Will wait until I can get a better fix on this little beast before I try again.
Found with Bedmaker. Met PPtrekerz at GZ (nice to meet you both!) who told us we were looking in the wrong area. Had a bit of a chat then went on to find the cache. Very nice hide. TFTC
Found this one with TassieGirl13, we arrived and had a couple of muggles nearby.
We thought lets search over here and they might go.
After no luck finding it the muggles came up and said you're looking in the wrong spot.
Oh they're not muggles, great to meet you PPTrekerz.
After a little caching conversation we headed over to the right spot and soon had the cache in hand.

What a clever little hide. Found by Mrs PPTrekerz after Mr PPTrekerz had already looked there. Well done! Left water toy for the troll, took army toy. Great to meet other cachers (TassieGirl13 & bedmaker) out and about, agreed to see each other tomorrow at Queens Land - 10 Years On. TFTC

A busy little cache today it seems! I neared GZ and started my hunt. This had me stumped for a white (not a hint!). I ended up with the cache after squinting with my head down and butt in the air... saying to myself "is that it?". A well hidden beast indeed. Took a GC that had been left in the cache (not logged yet). Congratulations to Herbz on getting FTF. TFTC Shaggy Derf
Went out while it was raining to find this one only to see someone pacing around the area looking a tad suspicious turned out to be Radnoski on an after work jaunt - a bit of a chat then into it while getting soaked. Radnoski finally go this hands on it 1st TFTC
We too arrived at GZ hoping for an FTF, however when we arrived, we noticed someone acting quite suspicous at GZ.... from a distance, he looked familiar, a quick wave confirmed it was a fellow geocacher. Glad to catch up with Radnoski again, and the search was on. A fairly commited search too involving lying over wet rocks etc.
Suddenly a happy sound from Radnoski, and the searching was over.... so was the FTF apparantly as Herbz had beaten us to it!!
.
Thanks Shaggyderf, tricky hide this one.

I think I was there before Mrs Herbz as I still had light. But it didn't help me. Hubby didn't want to let me in the house when I arrived home after trying to find this one. I was wet. I had farmer's friends all over me including in my hair, ouch! - They're tough to pull out of your hair. I didn't know that before because I don't think I've ever had them in my hair before. They make your hair look pretty scary. After a while it started to rain. I kept looking! I was there a long time. Lying on the rocks, head in scary places. This side, that side, over here, over there, pull this up, push that over, lift this, move that, feel here, feel there. Nothing!!! I left there feeling very despondent! I decided I couldn't go home with a dnf being the last cache so had to go look for another (which I did find, but not a ftf.) Congrats to the Herbz!!
I finished work and decided to check if there were any new caches around.
This one popped up and it was awaiting a FTF to be logged.... so why not give it a shot.
It was a drizzley old Friday evening and the light was fading. I plugged the co-ordinates in to the good old waterproof Garmin and headed off for the GZ.
I got to the GZ and hunted around a bit. The Garmin was getting about 3 meters accuracy in the overcast weather but this still left quite a few spots for a little troll to hide out. I returned to my car to grab a torch but wasn't having much luck finding the fellow.
I looked up from my search at one stage and saw that a 4WD had pulled up. It was too wet for muggles to be hanging out in the park so I hoped it was a fellow geocacher. It was PigWig and Agap2 (nice to meet them again), I waved hello (still not quite sure who was approaching) and had another quick search for the possible FTF as they approached. (No joy.... but I was nearly in the right spot)
With three sets of eyes we continued to search for another twenty minutes or so climbing under and around the troll's home with torches shining everywhere. After a bit longer the torch shined on a container and now I just had to reach it.
We opened the cache container..... no trackable item inside...... no FTF for us today.
The question was who got the FTF..... our first guess was "Aussie L" but upon reading the log we found that Team Herbz had picked up their second FTF for the day. Well done guys!!!
TFTC Shaggyderf. I took nothing and left a boxing glove keyring.
I got home to realise my Garmin was not in the car...... so I got to revisit the GZ again and there it was lying on the ground. (Thank goodness)
No fellow geocachers at the GZ this time.

FTF - 2nd for the day - nice!
Although this one wasn't that nice to find in the pouring rain. Mrs Herbz did the hard yards while Mr Herbz sat in the car talking to a customer on the phone. Soaking wet, muddy and covered in cobblers pegs, Mrs H had quite a hunt in the failing light before laying hands on the prize. Took TB. Will take it to Sundays "QLD 10 Years On" event.
