Logs
Understand the hint the power of the water flow was awesome. Found with Piwaka54. The container is very rust but managed to get it open. Log has seen better days. Tried to scribe our names on the damp paper. Thanks so much for bringing us to this lovely spot!
Good parking here in case anybody wanted to get past. Cache rusted shut so pliers were needed to sign the log. TFTC
I am being taxi Mum for my son and daughter in law for the Heaphy Track and finding a few geocaches. Today's pick up day. I have until 2pm to geocache until my heart's content. I stayed in Takaka today and will drive over the hill with the kids to Nelson. Thanks bumandworker for creating this hide. It was find for me.

The outlet to the inlet was in full view for us as we make our way back to the caravan. Parked off the road just incase there was more traffic around and an almost instant find was made. Quick sign and we are off again. tftc
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find????SL tm/ww NZ (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)Long drive / walk around today, we enjoyed the caches.*We soon had another good cache located!* ????
Beautiful spot. Cache all dry and secure. Enjoying a long weekend exploring this beautiful part of the country . TFTC
Haha. Love this hiding place. Great to visit this area and geocaching makes us stop where we wouldn’t otherwise. Thanks.
A big gravel drive up to the river mouth and had a picnic and swim with friends...
Then we stopped on the return to walk up knuckle hill and see the amazing view from up there. This was a quick park and grab on the way back.

Found while heading to the end of the road for a night's camp.
Nearly decided to skip this, as there was nowhere to get the motorhome off the road. Reluctantly drove on, and fund a spot about .150 metres further on, nor a short walk back.
A good hide, thanks.

We were enjoying spending some time in the area, the tide was out when we were here. The cache was a nice easy find for the us to find. Spent a bit of time checking out the rock formations nearby before we moved on towards Farewell Spit. Thanks for placing this cache

The kids were enjoying spending some time in the area, the tide was out when we were here so it was not as pretty as it has been at other times when we have passed through the area. Sadly I could see nothing. After yesterday's storm the tide is going over the road here and GZ is very close to edge.
Found a plastic lid which would have been part of a cache at one point where we got the best cords but not sure. Had a good search and no further lick so will keep an eye on future logs as we will be back in the area at some point.
Drat! The second cache location and the second DNF this morning. I saw it in both states.
A nice quick find here. Just so glad it wasn't where I initially expected. Cheers and TFTC
Just home after our Golden Bay camping trip from the Marlborough Sounds. It was not a caching expedition but we did manage one or two . We were travelling with our camping group who, although not cachers, joined in the fun. Our travels brought us to your cache – many thanks, bumandworker, for bringing us to this spot. We’ve had great fun all the way.
Quick find after a short walk earlier up the road, great day for a drive. TFTC (2443)
A great day out geocaching with my wee lad. FYI: found the rocks to be very slippery and not altogether necessary. TFTC!
Stopped quickly between the rain showers passing by. On our way home after an awesome holiday in this area. TFTC
11.30am. Our first visit to the Inlet. Tide on the way out. Fantastic scenery. Quickly located cache. Left a signature pathtag.

Parked right next to the cache, though couldn't see it till I came back to the car {redface}
Found over Waitangi Weekend in Golden Bay. A great spot for caching.
Thanks for the hide.

Our first visit to the Whanganui Inlet and we were greeted with a lovely sight as the tide was in and it wasn't raining! The wind was fierce though, we really copped here. Fantastic landscape.
Still a lot of driving on this long, windy, gravel road before we will reach our destination. TFTC.

#8705. The road around the inlet is pretty amazing, with its alternating causeways and headlands. Thanks for placing a cache here.
Thanks for a quick find.
The tide was out as we drove in so the inlet was mud flats. By the time we came back to tide had filled the inlet dramatically changing the vista.

Having not seen another vehicle for ages as soon as i went to pick up the cache a car went flying by and then on the way back to the car another one. Each trip out here i seem to come across obviously city dwellers who seem to think they are rally drivers for the weekend TFTC

At the first pass (south) by it was an outlet, as we later on quickly found, an inlet. TFTC
Lovely day for a drive out this way .. No trouble finding cache, in fact I had a bit of laugh as it was so blindly obvious = "surely it can't be", yet surely it was
Thanks for the hide!

Day 4, Find no.1 . Family Holiday time!
Aptly named, we enjoyed 'Inlet Outlet' at low tide. Who knew mud flats could look so attractive?
Dad claimed this find, as the GPS had Mum & N7 hunting astray.
Cache was damp, but Mum discovered a hot bonnet is a perfect place to quickly and safely dry out a log book. All good.

We have been wanting to explore this road for a long time. Were glad for geocaching as it told of the history and took us to some fantastic p[laces. The clue was obvious. Great day. Thanks.
TFTC. A nice wee hidey spot. Found by purdiepurdie while having a look about with Merlelutz and jellibean. This was and outlet on the first pass and a full inlet on our return trip.
Good place to walk into the sound at low tide.
Cache condition: dry
So long and thanks for all the cache! - 09:43 - koem

Thoroughly enjoyed the drive out along the inlet, though much nicer at high tide.
Managed to fluke getting here bang on high tide so it was neither and inlet nor an outlet. Amazing drive along all of these little causeway shortcuts.
Many thanks
Many thanks
Lovely spot and quick easy found on the way to the back of Farewell Spit TFTC
Decided we hadn't been over this way before so we would look at a couple of caches at this end of the road -we definitely have to come back and do the whole drive and maybe stay a night to do some of the walks - a nice quick find by Stretch0 thanks for bringing us over this way and the cache
This was great to come and grab this cache as in all our trips over the hill we had not ventured down this way . I loved the views and had our destination spotted before we got anywhere near it. managed to get to right to the correct spot as to not over exert myself for the retriaval . Great place and a road we know we have to return to in the future. Really looking forward to doing it in some nicer weather for some pictures and exploration further down the road TFTC
Just a quick park'n'nearly slip in the sea! Ha ha. Once I recovered my composure I looked immediately where the cache was instead of where it wasn't. TFTC
Not much room to get vehicles off the road here so be careful. Not a lot off traffic but I did see a couple of heavy trucks moving pretty quickly. TFTC
Quick find while looking for a spot to eat our lunch. Had trouble removing log from cache container to sign and not a great spot to stop while towing a large kayak trailer. Lovely part of NZ to explore.
felt obliged to find this one. hit the found button by mistake. so had to go find it. tftc
A very quick find on a day's caching in the region - just looked for something slightly out of place. Signed log, TFTC!
Now how could a relatively innocuous cache like this cause problems. Mrs Sobad found the cache and filled in the log while Sobad waited in the car, keen to move on in case he blocked the road. In her haste, Mrs Sobad hit her eye on the edge of the door. Sobad was very concerned and rushed around to confirm that no paint had been lost off the door. He gsve her a hanky to ensure no blood dropped on the car seats. He says 'What a Man" but Mrs Sobad did not say anything for quite some time. We were not tere at the right time to see the effect either. Thanks for the smiley.
Took ages to find but we did then kicked ourselves for not finding it sooner. TFTC
6806 First of a few caches along the Dry Road… nice views, thanks for bringing us here.
Thought we had the road to ourselves, but friends from PNth turned up just we started to search.

Had problems with this. Resorted to clue. Surely not? Checked everything again to discover I had missed it by 10 cm. Doh. TFTC.
Definitely "out" let today when we stopped - way out. GPS had some difficulty deciding on the right spot but eventually it settled and I spotted the clue. TFTC
A quick drive by. Heading back to base camp for a shower as the rain began.

Had a good look, but didn't find this - the wind and dust eventually got the better of us. Will try again next time we visit.
A nice quick find, but some stunning scenery here. Really enjoyed this new part of the country I'd never been to before! Cheers Gav [6883]
