I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi beltfamily
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Can someone please DISABLE this cache until it is maintained please. Had a look whilst walking the airport track today and its definitely not there. Thanks.
Searched and searched hasn't been logged for some time. Maybe like Alice cache disappeared down the hole? Where is the hole? Couldn't find that either lots of tree fall
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Found the rabbit hole, and like many others for the last year, found nothing. CO not active on GC for over 6 months. Recommend this be archived.
The airport walkway is supposed to be closed but don't let that stop you, the are only a couple of minor washouts on the seaward side that are easy to get around. Found a rabbit hole a few metres from the given co-ords, nothing visible so stuck arm down to shoulder and felt nothing. This may be missing or has slipped too far down.
Had searched for this previously while I was redoing the airport walk but had my phone with me so wasn't giving me very good cords under the trees. This time we paddled over and had a picnic lunch watching the other kayakers. Found a likely rabbit hole which was a real one, then SJT_NZ saw something that didn't quite look right and there was a small cache.
A quick find with TregearP whilst out for a paddle on a muggy Thursday morning.
All in good order. Took nothing, left nothing and signed log.
Thanks for the cache.

Have just completed Captain Black's multi and as this was so close decided we couldn't ignore it. Sometimes it pays to actually read the cache description before starting the hunt as there may be a clue in the wording that is not always seen. The correct rabbit hole was soon found once the lines were followed. tftc
Found this one a few weeks ago. Wandered up from the beach. Must have forgotten to log at the time.
Found with capperz, richardinho.nz and jojo74.
Earlier in the week capperz mentioned he was planning a trip to Nelson with richarinho.nz and joj74, and knowing I was home alone this weekend, asked if I wanted to tag along. Of course, I said yes and as gratitude for the invite, offered my wheels as transport. Everyone really knows that capperz' car is a gas guzzler and my fuel bill would probably be the same as a quarter share of his.
plan of attack was to attend the Pirate Event in Blenheim, the head across the Hill and do a few caches around the airport before heading to the Nelson Pirate Event. Afterwards it was off to Rabbit Island to do the eastern end of that.
All up I got 30 caches today, which leaves me 15 off my 2000 milestone... woo hoo.
Depending on the space available logs were signed in full, or Cz, Rh, KM, and JJ or CRKJ. with Cz or C missing on those he had already found.
A great little story with this cache and it took all four of us wandering aroung in never decreasing circles to find it. Eventually it was capperz who placed his hand in the right hole and came up with the goods.

One of several beltfamily caches I found this weekend, in awesome places mostly too, long may they live!! Nice cache at the extreme of our journey out this way today. Another time to attempt Oyster Island caches!
Today is the official first day of the Northern Hemispheres Summer souvenir-fest and we start with some geo-bling by attending an event; how about two? So a plan was hatched by several Marlborough interlopers to come raiding over the seven seas (Whangamoa Hill) and find a few caches mostly by bike. Nelson donned it's fine Winter coat and a beautiful days weather was enjoyed.
A trip around the airport by fair means (on foot) and foul (bike!! oops) a catch up at the Honest Lawyer, then a quick b n g (bike and grab) along the trail before a late afternoon attempt on the East of Rabbit Island. Not a huge numbers day, but some great caches, good company throughout and a some wonderful views were enough to slake the geo-thirst.

Good to see these belt family caches still alive. Capperz made the find as the rest of us tried other options, an enjoyable cache.
Saturday was day one of a two day caching weekend in Nelson. Capperz has proposed the idea a few weeks back, and myself and Jojo signed in. Kiwimykl was also recruited and kindly supplied the transport, and a hit list of locations was compiled. For us it didn't really matter what we targeted as there is so much unchartered territory this side of the hill for us, but our collective aims were around the airport perimeter and the Nelson side of Rabbit Island with a few cycle-access favourite point hoovers in the middle. Just as well I had a few FPs in the bank. Before that though there was an event in Blenheim at a local cafe, then another for the same reason at the Honest Lawyer with the Nelson crew around lunch. All logs signed with variations on the theme of Jo, Ric, Km and Capperz, and thanks to all the COs, it was a great day

Went for this lovely walk around the airport.Searched for ages found one rabbit hole wrong one finally spotted the one I need great hind didn't see Alice or her friends. Tftc BeltFamily
Having parked at the start of the great taste trail near the airport I did my wander around the perimeter then took a side track and ended up here. Had whole area to myself (not surprisingly) and like a cunning fox soon had the rabbit out of its hole. Able to claim 1813m towards DGSC distance challenge. Thanks for the cache.
Having dropped my visitor off at the airport, it seemed the perfect autumn afternoon to take the walk out here. Never set out on the airport loop and this deviation is even nicer.
Armed with the poem I headed to the right spot. I'll come back one day when my daughter is older also.
Thanks very much!

this cache isn't as far from oyster island as I thought. I had decided to divert to get this cache while visiting the airport walkway. I had found an another rabbit hole before finding gz. Took the trackable. find #232
Wee bit of searching but should have read all the description first. Easy once we did that! Nice wee walk out on the peninsula - dropped off Quack for his summer holidays. Kept him near water at instructed.
Out for a nice evening stroll with Streetgamer, doing a bit of plane-spotting, cache-checking and finding. He was keen, as was I, to push on to the end of the peninsula, me because I had never been that far along, and he so he could tell me all about his ATC over-night camp he did here a few months back.
The tide was out, but the light was fading, so we never made it down to the beach, just down the Rabbit Hole, which was quickly spotted by Streetgamer, making it three 'finds' for him out of three today.
Nice times.

we have never been here before = thanks for bringing us here. We looked across the ditch and wondered how we might do the one on the island and decided that it is best left for another day, before heading back the way we came tftc
Walking around the airport today didn't see any rabbits or a made hatter but we did find a rabbit hole TFTC
Often walked out to here, adds another 2 klms on to the circuit, a nice walk. TFTC
Packed up the gear at the backpackers and thought I'd head here for a walk around the Airfield - a much nicer walk than what we have back home at the Blenheim Airport.
Slight bush bash from the end of the path and I found GZ - had my hand in another rabbit hole quite a way in before touching something that didn't feel like a cache - boy did I whip it out fast... lol
Closely by was the "actual" cache - signed and back on the track - heading further round the airfield.
Not sure I could have parked the car nearby? Maybe the parking waypoint needs to be amended?

Staying nearby so have been using the airport track for exercise. Last day today so bought a pen with me so I could make the detour to get this one. Tftc
Tried to get out to Oyster Island, but the low tide wasn't quite low enough today! We were happy to be able to get a cache anyway, thanks!
Not much chance of muggles here!
A straight forward find with the gps behaving as it should.
Thanks beltfamily

Likewise for us with the GPS putting us out in the channel - so even with our kayaks, we reckoned that was no good! Resorted to smartphone (for use in emergencies as it chews up the batteries) and bingo - spot on! TFTC
Thanks for the hide. Have been using my phone. On this one it thought I was Jesus cos it had me walking in the middle of Blind channel. So pulled out my brand new GPS and any delusions of grandeur were soon dispelled. When I found this the phone had me 450 meters away. Worth the money on first use
In Richmond for a wee family holiday. After a long walk in for Captain Blacks Treasure I figured I may as well wander a bit further....Wee Dude came along whilst Mrs G and Wee wee dude startedto head back. Nice wee hide. Cheers.
A long trek for us after Captain Black's Treasure and it took a while because the GPS went a bit crazy but eventually we saw the ailing object and soon located the prize. There was a dead hedgehog (not a March Hare) in the trap which was a bit smelly but luckily it was a windy day.
Found this one just as the winds were getting up. My uncle took me out in his boat to find some caches. He found this one whilst I was inspecting a different rabbit hole.
[green] Christmas family get-together is all over. Time to return home. I take the bus from Motueka that gets me to the airport 6 hours early, as the next bus gets in at 10 minutes too late. Which means I have time to fill. Caching! Decided to do the Airport Gym, trying out all the toys along the way.
So yes, after finding Captain Black's treasure, I find I am in a little patch of Oxford countryside, beside the river Isis. And there he is! Following the rabbit I find his little hole. I retrieved the cache but decided not to jump in myself.
Thanks for the cache and the story . Gets a favourite!

By the way, you have a parking waypoint, but cars and bicycles are not permitted here. What were you planning to park? Boat? Hangglider?
Nice hide TFTC

Continuing on from finding Captain Blacks Treasure we read the poem as we walked towards the GZ and location that I'd said I thought a cache would be hidden at right from the start of the track *geosenses activated*
Replaced it exactly as we'd found which hopefully isn't too covered up, should still be obvious once you spot the rabbit hole .. Thanks for another fun hunt beltfamily

After the miserable cold Saturday, Sunday dawned with blue sky and rising temperatures. The call of two new caches at the airport was too much along with Biggles Wherigo and one at the very end of the far spit to clean up this area. This ones been on the radar a long time so nice to clean it up. TFTC
I've been too lazy to walk out and claim this one, after my major misadventure last year when I attempted to cross from Oyster Is on foot, or I should say knees. Today it was just a short diversion from a trip to the Airport Gym.

And what a lovely spot for a cup of tea! Thought it looked like a nice wee sneaky place to take a child camping. With rabbit stew for dinner. Thanks Belt family, a great walk on an autumny evening.
“But I don’t want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."
"How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, or you wouldn’t have come here.”
They all signed the cache and then they sat down and had a cup of tea. The End.

A very well-conceived cache. Found on a diversion from the perimeter walkway, a very enjoyable walk. Spent a bit of time lying on the ground up to the armpit in a rabbit hole, then walked a few metres and saw the cache in front of me! Signed log, TFTC and it gets a favourite point.
Easy find and a good walk after the rain cleared.

Took some finding but after the long walk out there, I was determined not to leave unsuccessful. It's all about finding the correct rabbit hole... Really peaceful location!!!
Quick find between showers. Never been to this part of the estuary before. Thanks.
Quick find. Nice to have a bit of cover from the showers falling this morning. TFTC
easy find while out on an afternoon walk with Hazedarus. It's the first time I have detoured along this penninsular so thank you for bringing me here. TNLN. TFTC.

We parked at S 41° 18.250 E 173° 12.550 and decided to turn up the terrain/difficulty rating on this puppy!
Mr and Miss Geckoh went off in bare feet on a low tide and waded thru armpit high channels and over knee deep mud to reach our destination, a very memorable cache and one that required a fair bit of cleaning of clothes afterwards!
Yes we missed the other cache that was the more recommended one but the way we did this one made this "the one" to do, nice final hide too!

Clever hide. Found this on a very windy day so hardly anyone out on the airport track. Left a keyring. TFTC.
Nice One!!!!!!!!!!We have been keeping this cache for just the right day. Today was it! Cool breeze, warm sun, clear sky, snow covered mountains, wide variety of bird life, great views in all directions and a magic spot for GZ and a bit of a rest. Now this is what geocaching should be all about. Doesn't get any better. Thanks
"If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise; what it is it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?" said Alice. TFTC #2079
Very cool camo! Came for a walk at low tide from the motorcamp while caravaning around the sth island.. Thanks
