Couldnt find even had a family riding past knew what we were looking for told us where it was but not there

I'm pretty sure this is gone. I doubt it will get fixed as the CO hasn't logged on since Jan 2013.

I'll check this cache out in then ext few days. I get some messages of "did not find" and others the next day of "found".
Bridge has recent major maintenance and this made the cache more exposed. I'll do a better hide.
Sometimes a "friendly" local takes it for maintenance.

Plants at gz, show in photo have been trimmed right down. If cache was there, then it is gone.

For me, this is what geocaching is all about. A location that is generally disregarded but upon visitation reveals itself to be well worth visiting.
There were some local muggles just drying off after a swim when I tottered up, so I took the walk accross the bridge and back whilst waiting for them to move on.
Easy find, and I left a trackable from Europe and collected another one to move on.

Co-ords spot on for an easy find. Took a wander across the bridge which is an unnerving feeling, more so when a second person is on at the same time. Waited till ozvixen made it to the other side before I returned, which also gave me the chance to take some arty photos.

Found it this time. Glad the refurbishment went well. Bridge looks brand new!. Better than it was before. TFTC.

Yah, been trying to get here for some time. Obviously Sanitarium have done some major maintenance on bridge. Well done Sanitarium! Thank you! Cache has been looked after and replaced. No geocoins or trackables to be found though obviously gone "missing in action" .

too much maintenance, security fencing, etc, etc.

Just tried to do this one on way home, but there is maintenance happening on the bridge, with a construction fence around it. Cannot get within 5 metres of the bridge, and you may need to check it is still there as the reconstruction looks pretty extensive

we looked and look to no avail

Shame the bridge is currently closed for maintenance. Will revisit so we can walk across when repaired. [:x]

Fantastic that Sanitarium has stepped up to fix it since such an iconic bridge...

Great walk along Dora Creek. The swinging bridge is unique and a pleasure to walk over. The cache was easily found and thank you for placing it. Found while visiting our daughter and family on the birth of their new baby girl. TNLN.

Found it accidentally. I'm super observant, Hadn't heard about geocaching until I got home and googled it. This find has got me in to it.

Happened to be showing the kids around Avondale - lots of reminiscing! They wanted to see the swing bridge, so ducked down there between showers, and managed to find this cache.

Noone around today, found the cache quickly. Took a short walk on bridge!

The GPS seemed a little off here so looked around for likely hide and soon had it.
I remember a bridge like this in Cessnock when I was a kid in the 50s - I wonder if it's still there.

Love the swinging bridge. Went to college here and never knew that a cache was nearby.

Visited today to dip some bugs and discover the FTF Chicken trackable, but the chicken is no longer there.

Love this bridge, been here a few times before. Our geodog on the other hand was scared crossing the bridgem shaking and refusing to walk any further.
After finding the cache we sat down and had our Australia day lunch by the creeek

After a post about this being cache being muddy and then it missing totally, today I went and checked it. It was there, right where it was supposed to be. Clean and fully stocked. Maybe some kind geocacher fixed it for me. Thanks.

See my found log - this one needs a visit from the owner to clean out all of the muddy contents and a thorough drying.

Found with blossom* and totally forgot to log! Thank goodness my gps remembered the date and time I logged!

We went for a short walk this evening and found this wonderful spot and the cache. It was all muddy so I cleaned it totally and took the contents home to wash and dry. They all came up very well and we returned everything the next afternoon so it looks perfect once again

We went for a walk over the bridge and back today and then again next evening as it was so great! Thanks so much for showing us this area, I love places like this and caching for showing them to me.

An interesting bridge. I noted that it was owned by the Sanitarium company across the river. It certainly has a lot of rules poseted too. But we found the cache without having to worry about those, thanks to the very helpful hint. Thanks

A very interesting bridge, would have been fun to walk over, but my mind wasn't up to interpreting the rules to see if it was okay at the time we were there .

Found on mini cache assault on Cooranbong. Gate across the bridge was open so strolled across and back to check out the creek. The geokids loved the pink suited Elvis playing to the passing traffic up the road. Many thanks.
