As this cache has been out of action for too long and the cache owner has not responded or performed any maintenance, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Perhaps time for the owner to check?
2 DNFs, area changed since cache placed?

Area has been recently replanted and only a stoat trap was found with a back door but no cache
not found but enjoyed the walk to that lovely place. Thanks and greetings from Germany
Hint made no sense here... though we did find something rusted that might have once been a fridge.
The whole area looks as if it has been underwater recently. Noted it was many months since the last find.
After two major lightning and thunder moments, we retreated to the car, as the rain began....

Another that I managed to drive almost to in the dark so made for a quick find

Apparently I could have parked right next to this one, but I missed the entrance and parked on the side of the road a bit further along. Not to worry, it was a nice walk along the track and boardwalks to the driveway and down to the cache, and a quick find at GZ. On my way meandering home after the FTFs out at Maungaroa Station this morning - the purpose of my trip. TFTC!!!
It's amazing what you find in a wetland! Followed the hint literally and soon had cache in hand. Grabbed trackable. Spent some time watching the kahawai chasing the inanga. Some of them were leaping out of the water pretending they were flying fish. TFTC

Hopefully you cn take the time to go for a stroll along the walkways that are being developed in the area.

I was all set to give this a favorite when I discovered what made sense of the hint. But despite searching high and low (especially low) we couldn't find it. Will try again another day.
The ground zone was certainly unexpected... How did this object get here? Cache was a quick find. TFTC.
Another one for team cymrykiwi and teleri_r...not that it was a race against wingnut rocks and teeny tina
one of the ex-locals with wingnut rocks and teeny tina. Starting to get the hang of this, I beat wingnut to it this time.
Certainly a lot of work going on here which is a credit to those concerned.Cool placement, thankyou.
awesome work and restoration of this site, and a very pleasant work, really like the pottery signs, tftc
Great cache placement. Enjoyed the walkways and the info and pottery. This turns out to be a stones throw from family home. Must come over and find more of your caches. Nice to find a more interesting cache and one not by the lizard.....
Wondered how the clue was going to help till we got to the GZ, then all made sense - very nice spot
Nice area with lots of work being done with interesting little touches - made NZ Biscuit go in for this one TFTC
Found too easily and suspect it had been suggled as was out in the open. Rehid it where we thought it should be. TFTC
Found and had a good chat with a white baiter. Took White Lily and Blue Duck TB's. A glorious day to be out wandering around.
7598 Great to see the local community beautify this area, lots of interesting info panels and artworks, loved the old wreck.

Very interesting area, lots of great work been done here.
Grand carcass for the cache to ride in!
Once we found it, the clue became clear!!
Left TB --- it seemed appropriate as it has a bicycle attached --- more wheels for the hide!

The hint was clear as soon as we arrived and the cache appeared quickly. Really nice spot for a cache, would have driven straith past otherwise.

Very nice wetlands area and well maintained. Like that they have left this behind to become part of the landscape. Logbook was a little damp and the cache container had lost most of it's camo'ness. TFTC TNLN

Our rellies live just up the hill, and were surprised to learn a cache has been placed in a spot they thought only the localist of locals knew about! T4TC - M@, Riahna & William.
Found during a cache raid of the BoP . ROS loves whitebait but MAR believes they should be filleted before eating . Due to the flooding walking to GZ was definitely gumboots country and luckily we came prepared. On arrival at GZ we spotted the likely hide however the cache was floating however all nice and dry inside. Great cache hide, thanks for the fun T4TC.
Haha liked the placement. Native revegetation progressing well. Nice little spot I would not have found if not seeking this GC. The directions provided were helpful in locating carparking area. TFTC
Part of a 7 day adventure around the east cape with the beautiful bjarni1
This was one of my favorite finds. Had some good laughs from it.

Great little walk down to GZ, all quiet today, must be the off season. Quick find, TFTC
Managed to make this a drive up! It would be a lovely spot for a picnic. Such a beautiful day we had a quick swim here.
Many thanks

A quick easy find, when the mysterious hint suddenly made sense. We love whitebait, ours usually coming from the West Coast of the South Island. TFTC

Ew, never have liked whitebait....... but finding caches and FTF's we do like, got all ready to go out the door 10 mins after publication, had visions of racing ZL1UBK to the spoils of the white gold but in the end we could have finished dessert first!!
Took nothing but left a Travel Bug that is in a race with it's siblings.
