Popped by to check. Yes area has been burnt, cache gone...[xx(] Archiving.
Disabling until I get a chance to take a look. Sounds like has been melted...
#1071 - 14:40; Another cache which has been on the 'to do' list for a while and an easier find than expected. I had just logged a nearby cache and found I had driven past this one on the way there. With assistance from Murphy I again chose the wrong one of two possible paths to GZ, but this was soon rectified and the cache was in hand. TFTC Canberra bushwalker
# 6758 Found on another cool Spring day for a drive around the area.
The rain is holding off and it's just perfect weather for caching.
Not many muggles around here today and another quick find.
TN LN SL. Thanks for the cache Canberra_bushwalker,
Roostaman.

Phone gps freaked out so had to wing this one a little and follow the trails and clues left by other cachers - nice hide, tftc
Found another part of Weetangera Road a few months ago when caching in Aranda. Interesting that it was originally down this way also.

Found at 1810 - I was in the area totally botching a waypoint for a multicache (meant another drive across Canberra to double-check a set of coordinates - *sigh*), and knowing I'd need a find for the August 'cache-a-day' challenge I'd wisely stored this one in the phone. At least I'd got one thing right today!
I wondered if I could drive right to GZ, then spotted the letterbox and decided to quickly reverse that decision (and the car). A quick walk along the right road and a scramble over a fence had the cache in hand and the log signed. Dropped off a maze pathtag and tucked the container in for the night - everything was in good order.
As I left GZ I stepped down an embankment and my heel hit patch of mud - for a brief moment I mastered the classic cartoon 'slide on one foot with arms flailing wildly' trick, then I caught my balance (just before the star picket caught me!) and departed with dignity intact. Surprisingly I dropped neither the phone nor the torch - either could've been disastrous.

Found on the 9th day of the 31 days of Geocaching . After a massive day in the lab, I needed a quick find on the way home. And this cache was exactly that! Walking down the old road at night to the cache was quite eerie, but a good spot none the less. Took TB. Thanks for the cache, Canberra bushwalker
big event going on today, not sure what. easy nab but had to avoid lots of muggles, tftc
Cache #6 for today.
Having scrapped my plans for a trip down south I decided to do a day of 'Next Closest Cache' and I let the adventure begin having no clue where I would end up going.
Getting to this one was good fun from my last cache traveling at about 40-50k down the hills and checking the gps was a little scary at times but I made it in the end. Nice easy find just out of view of passing joggers.

Staying at the nearby tourist park and this made a nice late afternoon walk. TFTC
513. Some cross country MTB training over at Bruce/Black Mountain was in order today, so abit of caching nearby made the day complete.
Quick and easy find once GZ was sorted out.

On a cold cold frosty morning, geo-wife and self set out to do some caching while we were staying in the near-by caravan park for a few days. First find and pretty easy although the fingers were in pain carrying out the paper work.
Found at luchtime today. This was an unexpected bonus as I have had this cache on my list for a while. I was actually looking for a nearby puzzle cache by Eynownd and when I found it I decided to have a look at what was nearby and Woo Hoo this cache was found.
It is amazing of how much history is in and around Canberra that can get lost without people like you.
Thanks CB for the enjoyable walk and also the history.

One of several visited on a cycle ride this Saturday. It was nice to find a bush cache on a track I could ride along. TFTC.
Found on walk through Bruce Ridge Reserve. Nice spot. Left geocoin. TFTC - And thanks to the person who dropped a pen nearby - I have lost a couple already and so was happy to pick that one up!
Hard in the wet.. but got it and covered well from muggles. Walk this way to Brumbies games and been meaning to grab it so many times. TFTC.
2013-06-19 0055 A case of "I was in the area anyway, so why not?" Another place, and another bit of history, that I didn't know about. TN, LN, SL. Thanks Canberra bushwalker!
Night caching with a dying head torch - watch the wire! TFTC Interesting story about this road, I wish I was more interested in these things when I was a uni student!
We set out from our accommodation nearby for an early morning walk and although it was cold (about 5 degrees C) there were lots of walkers and cyclists out enjoying a beautiful day. Two hot air balloons sailed overhead as well!
I sent geotot in to investigate GZ (once I made sure it was safe!) and she spotted the cache. We also found a yellow car on the ground which we left in the cache. Took handmade snail, left phonecards, Thanks for our first Canberra cache in a beautiful area.

A good snippet of urban history. Followed the trail and spotted the cache. Odd smell in the air, perhaps a critter lives close by. SL, TFTC
Quick grab...thankfully the workers nearby didn't spot me and wonder what on earth I was doing...TFTC!
After last log popped by to check up on the cache. Found has suffered from a bit of "cache creep". Moved it back to where I left it originally, should be good to go.
It took me far too long to find this one. Especially as the cover had fallen away and the container was clearly visible from the road. My quick and shoddy attempts at repair will probably not withstand a high wind, so somebody with more time and skill may wish to follow up.
Logged today despite the mountainbike traffic. There's a bit of a goat track forming up to this one.
Wednesday 26 December 2012 - early evening stroll with GeoGrandma and GeoHusband. Great to be back here again. Quick and easy find. TFTC
I love these hides -can't be seen from the road but oh so obvious once you're in position.

Easy find and a lovely place for a bush walk. Found with mate Joolay, training for the Mt Koscioszko walk next week. TN left a gel pen. TYFC
Ok after work was a bad idea, apparently everyone else had the same idea! (stretching made it look like I was just taking a break)
The first one while out training on a mountain bike. What an a mazing city for bikeing. TFTC
This was a lovely place to stop and pick up a cache. Thank you for bringing us to this area. TNLN, TFTC
545. A nice quick stroll and had to use the cover of darkness to sign the log as a passing muggle cyclist did his stuff. TFTC.
Rode past, recalling there was a cache near the road. Even without a GPS and having seen the map GZ was obvious. The cache was even more obvious due to the lack of camo! I suspect it was hidden in another nook before...
Took some new cachers to find this one as it was near the motel. Took TB TFTC
A quick find with the kids, they couldn't get enough today and kept on wanting more. Dino and Pebbles found it suddenly while I was still watching the gps settle and yelled out at once. The road is curious indeed. Interesting story. Thanks for the cache Canberra bushwalker.
this cache was close to our campsite so we took a walkabout to the cache .Our GPS was off about 4 metres but the clue made it quite obvious. left a TB.TFTC.
Another one that has been on my to do list for quite some time. Glad I am able to tick it off. TFTC.

A wet evening, but since we were in the area decided to knock off a few caches.
Thanks,

A nice quick walk from the car, a great excuse to stretch the legs whilst driving around grabbing quick finds.

This area and cache were really quite interesting.
In all the time I've lived in Canberra I've never gotten close to walking the O'Connor ridge so this cache put me on the path as it were.
We parked nearby and walked the short distance in. I spotted the hiding area right away (the second obvious cache trail of the day) and as I went to climb in my friend freaked out the fence was electric. I tried explaining it wouldn't be, but there was a mini-battle of wills occurring, so I eventually just climbed through to prove a point. Handy hint, don't do this cache in a skirt.
I didn't take it, but I thought the travel bug/geocoin in the cache was great and it was the first time I'd thought I'll try and get one similar to it. Very cute and well considered.
Thanks for the cache Canberra_bushwalker!

Finally got to this one a couple of months after deciding that it could be part of an excellent MTB ride through the area. Got to it today on way to a family pre-Christmas gathering as the rest of the MajuraHathi parti went by car. TFTC
Even with a twisted ankle and crutches i couldnt resist at least getting one cache today. TFTC.
Easily found one at GZ. Perhaps a shirt and tie is not the best attire but we managed.
Found at 6.50pm GAFF1 in the company of Browngang. The last cache for the day - or so we thought until we were told that we were going to head off after dinner for some night caching. Took the hard way to get to this cache and the easy way out along the old road.
Thanks Canberra_bushwalker.
Thanks Canberra_bushwalker.
Very nice area for a quiet walk on the way home from work. Thanks Canberra bushwalker
With dinner done it was time to head out for a bit of a night cache. Joining me this evening was Robmc and Browngang. In the dark we initially picked the wrong track but after realising our mistake me were soon on the right path. Thanks fot the cache Canberra bushwalker.
We were staying next door, so after dark we walked into this park for a few caches. We found our way to the correct road, and the cache.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Found on a caching blitz to Canberra, from Port Macquarie with Blackie_71, pprass, Robmc and Chewinprickles. tftc. Robmc and Blackie only at the moment though. Quick grab from the nearby resort
I ride past this one going to work, and have been meaning to pick it up for some time, so glad to cross this one off the list.

Early morning riser find whilst muggle mother slept back at cabin. Plenty of muggle walkers, muggle dogs, muggle mountain bikers around.
