As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. It started to rain as we drove through to Taupo, so we sheltered here to eat our fish and chips here. Had a hunt for the cache... then read logs... oh bother, it's gone. Great view of the Waikato River though.

No luck either. Suspected where it may live but tested with pen which quickly disappeared also.
On a bit of a road trip, a bit of time for caching this morning before we leave Taupo, not very successful. We did find this, but I think someone has been a bit vigorous when putting it back and now needs rather long tweezers to retrieve, something we don't carry with us, so could not get.
Found it but as previously stated has been pushed too far in to retrieve. Did not have right size replacement with me sorry
Suggest is has been muggled as coordinates took us to spot but couldn't find.

Found it with Jackson 3118 but could not retrieve to enable us to sign log. Needs repositioning
Found it but it's too far in to retrieve. Owner might want to replace it as I don't think anyone will get it out... Great spot tho!
Luckily had some appropriate tools to retrieve cache! Performed some cache maintenance to prevent log being destroyed when removing from tin. Good to get this after DNFing last year. TFTC!

After a rainy day exploring the region, Eminor93 and I decided to find a few caches. We are from Australia and are zigzagging down the centre on NZ North Island on a family holiday.

We are from Australia and are exploring the spectacular north island of NZ. AzzB and I decided to find a few caches along the way. Spending a few nights in Taupo with the family before heading further south.
This is a nice spot to hide a cache. We came at night so was good to see the boats and dock lit up at night. Tftc

PS. We put all c0ntents of the cache into a small eclipse tin + popped it back nice + snug in its hiding place, thought it was better then the plastic bag it was in.TFTC

Cache was on the ground, we think we returned it to the appropriate spot though. TFTC!

Visited Taupo and yes we did a scene of Titanic at this place. Quick find but the cache has no container.

Great to revisit TAUPO after a few years. Such a beautiful place with some many things to do. Enjoyed an amazing drive around the lake and after an evening walk overlooking the marina. It was a nice wee find to sign off Thx.
Found on a lunchtime stroll while traveling back from Napier. A great spot, and very convenient to use the camera ploy here with muggles around! TFTC

First find of the day on our day trip from Rotorua. Cache has no container just a bag and log book . On to next one now tftc

Out with Cats&Dragons confirming more details for the 2016 Mega in Turangi and Taupo this weekend, We had quite a few to target on this side of the lake, so headed this way for the rest of the afternoon, Met the cachers we had met previously as they were walking away, so it was a quick find and my fingers were small enough to retrieve the log. TFTC

A great spot, shame about the condition of the cache, now just a plastic bag, is that how it started?. TFTC
I located the hide..consisted of just a log sheet folded up and attached to wire..no trace of a container..CO should check on this one urgently..great location..TFTC!
I went after this for the fact that it had 27 favourite points loaded onto it. It was a quickl find, and there were very few muggles about the GZ. A guy was sitting and having a smoke, but he was not interested in some fat dude taking photos from GZ. It was a good spot to start out from and the views were really nice. TFTC!
