First find in Tasmania. Simple enough but the log could do with a refresh, didn't know which scrap to sign.
A quick find after a visit to Woolworths, but more importantly, now we know where the Cadburys factory is....TFTC.
A Glass and a Half, of fresh full cream milk. Depends on who's glass and who's filling it...a quick find on our last day here in Hobart....TFTC
Our last day in Tassie and we decided to get a cache or two on the way back to ZUM for lunch having just visited the Cadbury factory. TFTC An easy find.
The cycling touring duo from Jindy had a hunt around on our way northwards and were unable to locate the sneaky cache.
While Peter and Sue consulted the GPS, Christine located this from one side whilst Dave almost beat her from the other. TFTC Budgietas
This was a day for a short walk and barbeque at New Norfolk. The circuit walk took us through the township of New Norfolk where we stopped at The Cake Lady for a coffee and very nice cakes made on the premises. When we got back to the main picnic area it was now quite crowded and there did not seem to be a BBQ available, so we skipped up to Lachlan (in the cars) where we found the facilities not in use. A few weeks ago we had lunch here and also located the geocache at the site.
On the return trip to Hobart we collected a few geocaches, with our companions for the day all helping.

#149. A nice quick cache on our way to the Cadbury factory, which was closed.
Anyway, we quickly had the caches in hand, signed the log, and returned it. Nearly reaching #150!
Thanks for these cache Budgietas!
This is another cache for our Vic/Tas trip, so hello from townsville, qld. Tbs enjoyed their visit...

We were in the area for the Cadbury factory, and I saw this cache and read its notes. I had to do the cache! I’ve been a Jim Steinman fan since I was at school, and have managed to turn my youngest son onto his work. His songs are ‘epic’ (Steinman and Meatloaf fans may get it), funny, dramatic, complex and, well, they sound good!
Occasionally I’ve smiled when someone’s heard Meatloaf singing “Surf’s Up” (badly) or other renditions from Steinman’s “Bad for Good” album, and they think that Steinman’s original is a cover. There’s that Barbara Streisand version of “Left in the Dark”, also, and of all people, Barry Manilow doing “Read em and Weep” from Meatloaf’s second album, “Dead Ringer”. Oh dear!
I’ve read whatever I could on Steinman over the years, his classical influences, his political views and I have also tried to find out what I can of his early plays. He’s also written some huge hits and produced some classic albums. I think everyone knows his songs, but writers usually hide behind their artists.
Yes, I’m a real fan, and was very happy to log this simple little cache, knowing that I had an excuse to rabbit on like this. Thanks for thinking of this theme.
(And I haven’t even mentioned Bonny Tyler! – got that album, too. )

#1549-I must confess, this wasn’t what I was expecting. While one of our boys (who loves this song) teased the other (who hates it) bikerbuddy and I spotted it at the same time. A quick and easy one though. Great memories of Steinman over the years. Thanks.
Many thanks to Budgietas,
This was our 4 of 8 for todays cache hunt, Find number 1395 at 2:15:00 PM.
We are here in Tassy, hunting down your caches. This is our first time here and the weather here is fantastic, just a tad chilly. Please keep an eye out for us and come and say hi, we won't bite.
A nice easy find. Nice area.

Geocadets had a fun time in the park. Muggles zooming by in their mugglemobiles. TFTC
Found it. Stopped at a near by park and noticed the owner of the house next to the cache was out in her garden. After waiting for her to finish watering for a few minutes, I decided to approach to the cache. While her back was turned to grasped the cache from it's hiding spot. However, she then wandered over to me as I was signing the log! We had a good chat about her garden, the visiting magpies and other birds to her garden including some ducks that brave the roundabout. She didn't notice me singing the log and soon she was off to feed the birds! TFTC SL and replaced.
Log book replaced.
This cache is a quite achiever.
It had been sitting being found, not being any problems for a year and a half. I got to the gz and could not 100% remember we're it was.
There is no number in the cache, but it (and the rest) can stay as stand alone caches and finale will be archived.

This cache was found as part of a big day of caching the Hobart area with lots of caches found and many interesting sites seen and visited.
A big thanks to my dedicated driver/navigator, who played hard ball and gave no hints and only got out of the car at the caches he hadn't found, and my little mate who came to most of the finds with me.

Thought we'd better do a few caches before the end of the year. Managed to get this one with little trouble. An easy find. SL TFTC
Quick grab on the way to Cadbury. Didn't really need a GPS. I think it took about 2 mins all up!

After nearly tripping on the footpath, I found this quickly. Returned to the car to sign, then another quick stroll to replace. I now realise it's the 9th, but I have this feeling I logged the 11th. Thanks budgie.
On the way to a Grand Final BBQ and we needed to get a couple of supplies from the store, while Mrs Stumble got the gear the jnrgeo's and I decided to try this one without our cache kit. Quick find once we parked and looked at where is could be. SL T4TC
Turnaround every now and then I get a little bit nervous that a muggle might see me
Turnaround every now and then I find another challenge waiting to deceive me
Turnaround every now and then I look I little bit shifty as I wander back and forth
Turnaround every now and then to check that no one saw me hunting here and there
Turnaround bright eyes every now and then I log a find
And I thank you for the cache.....

We were keen to finish this series before leaving Hobart tomorrow morning. Quick find. Seems like muggles go on the merry-go-round on their way home ... TFTC
Chocolate close-by, water lapping and stealth mode not required (as much!).

Snuva is so awesome, I am sure she attracts caches! Cache found and logged very quickly. Not many more to go now.
Thanks for this cache.

Another find by the MullinitOvr/Snuva duo, found as the sun was setting. At this point we were determined to finish off the series before stopping for the night!

On our way to Strahan from Hobart whilst here in Tasmania on holidays from Perth, WA. A nice quick find. We recorded the information but we unfortunately won't get a chance to use it. Thanks for the hunt.
Took a lot longer than I thought it would, but still an easy find. Thanks to you.
This afternoon was the first time since I've been back in Tassie that I've had a look to see how many new geocaches there are in the area between work and home. I was impressed to discover plenty, so with some time to spare decided to take the scenic route home...
Feeling a bit down this morning as, not reading our travel guides properly, we found the nearby Cadbury factory closed on weekends. Needed a cache success to cheer me up so once gps decided which corner of the intersection was closest, I was happy. Still want chocolate though!
staying at the nearby van park and was out on the cycle to this one.... oh, bugger.... no writing device!!! rode to the nearby shopping centre intent on buying a pen or such but found there was a tote there so dropped in and 'borrowed' a pencil rode back to cache and found (again!) and this time signed!
cheers 4 da cache!

758 - Found another in this good series this afternoon at 4:33pm. There was a lady in the garden near ground zero but she went down the side as Brissy Guy Junior grabbed it. Thanks again Budgietas.
