What a hidden gem here, with an NZMCA Park over Property here and a well maintained bowling club. There was no bowling today, though, so I could extract the cache in peace. Thanks for the placement Bitsprayer

A nice quick find here. An older couple had there camper van parked very close to it. The guy had noticed the container but it hadn't actually registered with him that it was out of place. They had a friend that use to geocache.

Settling in for the night at the Domain, only a few campers and nice new restroom facilities. Looked on the app and realised there was a cache nearby! so with no muggles in sight had plenty of time to search. Sneaky hide, cache all good tftc

Cool cache, spotted it easy enough but would be well hidden for a muggle. Spent Waitangi weekend here camping with family, great spot and awesome swimming area to

Stopped in here a few days ago but the campground was so full there was no chance of getting near the cache. Called in again on our way back past today and no one around meant a nice quick find. tftc

After a great night in omakau celebrating a good friends 50th birthday .it was time to head home ,with time to spare so let's tidy up the pig root .
Perfect time for a rest stop ,wandered round to find the cache no problem here tftc

Out and about on an other csching trip to get to 3000 finds before the end of the year. You can really see how high the water was after the rain we had over the few days. The cache was hgh and dry tho. TFTC

Thanks played here as a kid. Well filled in time. Can’t remember much as I had just turned 8 when we left the area. I remember bowling the jacks down the green while my parents played.
A couple of people staying at the camping area. Nice new block of toilets.

Heading South for a break and a bit of Geocaching. Grabbing a few on our way from Oamaru to Lawrence.via Middlemarch.
One camper parked next to the toilet block but out of sight of GZ.

Very pleasant place to stay in our camper.

Found at 7 am. We stayed a night at this holliday park. Made a quick grap while everyone was still asleep, so mugglers weren't a problem.

These country domains are a huge asset to the local communities. A nice quick find here but I had to duck as groundsman came past on the other side of the fence with the roller. TFTC # 11,473

A favourite for sure. Very cool. Thank you Bitsprayer. Very hard to look for this one without feeling pretty dodgy. There was nothing at the bowling club, but camper vaners parked nearby admitted they had wondered what I was doing as I disappeared around the back. I was on a bike with panniers so they concluded I must be looking for a private tent site. We talked for some time (after I had found the cache and appeared again). I tried to talk them into geocaching as the perfect hobby for retirees travelling the country in a campervan. They reckoned they were pretty happy without needing another hobby ....

TFTC. On a big loop road trip with kotukuSI from the Oamaru GeoFest we headed towards Macres, Middlemarch and Naseby.
Big beautiful scenery with a nice collection of caches to pickup.
This was a really "country" cache. Small settlement with a large bowling club as part of the public domain and a fairly second hand camper van nearby.

Heading to the Maniototo / Strath-Taieri with purdiepurdie after the Oamaru Geo-Fest weekend, for some caching and family history.
We left Oamaru after a long lie-in; lunched in Palmerston then set off up the Pig Root.
There was a house-bus parked not far from the cache, so we parked between the bus and cache - and purdiepurdie found it after my somewhat pathetic search!

Really liked this one! Though if anyone had been watching us we would have looked really dodgy. For a start we had been over in the far corner of my domain having lunch, then we lay in the sun for a Nana nap then we drove around the bowling club end of the domain, just casually, minding our own business, round and round, then we were trying to look casual around GZ ,aware there were people in the bowling club.....then once we'd found it jumped back in the van and off we went!

Day 3 of our 5 Day end of year geocaching trip. Today was our biggest day with 75finds and 4DNFs with most of them being park and grabs. An easy find after a comfort stop here at the domain. The odd colour out sticks out like a sore thumb so we knew what it was straight away. That sure is a real cheap stay for $5 a night! cool hide [^] and a few interesting observations around the area - a shed with a very old sign "Danger - Explosives" and a car recharging the battery using a wind generator on top of the car in the spare tire... definitely windy enough for it today! TFTC!!

Finally a day with 1 tent and no sign of life apart from a labrador. Lovely green, very well maintained. TFTC

Nice cache though we have seen once like this before and found it quickly before having lunch. Didn't sign as it was too soggy.

A return visit having been muggled out by camp guests twice before. Some commendable effort on behalf of the casche owner taxed our collective minds but in the end we prevailed. Neat one guys.

Found on an evenings cache run to Palmerston. Drove right up to the cache in the near darkness. Still a few players in the bowls club but they didn't seem to notice me. Great hide.
