A DNF for me here. Caught a couple of tourists using the area just down from this lookout as a toilet. Reported them to their coach Tour Leader.
We are travelling in motorhome on holiday with our cat Coco and stopped well of the road to check out the area. Happy we found this clever cache but was not nice walking in shit lane as hubby labeled it. Can't believe why you would need to do this, was disgusting. Still we have earned a smile so thanks drawp.

Our only dnf today. A few people at the look out and we searched the obvious posts, gps and phone said it was down the hill slightly. Started walking down, looked around the first 3 posts but with the human excrement and associated toilet paper, we decided to stop searching. It may still be there but unfortunately because of disgusting human behavior, I think the CO needs to resite this.

We were on our way from Wanaka to Mount Cook and took a short break here at the lookout near the Lindis Pass. When I looked on my gps I suddenly saw that there was a cache closeby. I already had been up on the lookout, but I went for the second time to find the cache. With success. Thanks!

We found the cache "Welcome to Waitaki (North Otago)" during our road trip through New Zealand. We started in December 2018 at Auckland and we'll travel with our campervan to the very south. The landscape and nature is overwhelming . It's always a lot of fun and a great adventure to go for this hobby in our vacation too . Thanks to the Owner "drawp" who placed the cache and his maintenance in the future!!!
At this place of the log, I would like to put all the best regards from Aalen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany in this cache as well [^].

Today we are headed from Fairley to Lake Wanaka with stops along the way. We are visiting from Toronto ON Canada to spend 24 days with our daughter who lives in Wellington NZ. Quick stop at GZ. Found at 3:18 PM. Thank you drawp for placing and maintaining this cache.
OMG there is human crap everywhere. No need for gloves as the a cacher mentioned before as the smell was intense, we could see where it was but wasn't going there.
This place is so gross.
Cache owner needs to move this cache to a healthier place.

Well hidden! Great search but bring gloves as theres alot of human waste and tiolet paper around. Such a sham.
First dnf of the South Island trip. We had stopped as it was snowing. My gps wouldn’t settle and the family were waiting so had to cut short the searching time.
First visit to New Zealand, and what a way to see this beautiful country - a lap of the South Island by motorhome! We started in Christchurch and then drove through the hills of the Southern Alps to the west coast, explored the glaciers and Milford Sound area, and have now started heading back to our start point via Queenstown.
From the snowcapped mountains to these green hills...
Stopped to stretch the legs here with a quick find at GZ.
Thanks drawp.

I was heading down south for the long weekend, like so many others, but luckily not along SH1, plus after spending the night in Omarama, and leaving early, I had the road to myself to start with! This one took for ever to locate, so i was extra grateful for the lack of muggles - but not so grateful for the evidence that people have been using the area as a public toilet, photo right next to gz attached [:-(] Great views though, TFTC!!

First impression about New Zealand : I nerver visited such a wonderfull country ! ^^ . New Zealand was for a long moment in my top list of countries I wanted to visited. Finally, the opportunity shows up and of course as a GC addict, I took the occasion to log some geocaches in some stages of my trip. I was pressured by the rythme of my group so lot of the caches I had in my radar couldn’t be done but I tried to focus on some of them.
I want to thank all the caches owners who made me discover wonderfull points of view in the main stages of my trip. I promess that I leave my eyes from my GPS to observe the environment ^^
I targeted the simple caches to be sure to have time to found and log them… and all of them were in good shape in New Zealand. For the earthcaches, they were very interesting and I learnt a lot while doing them. I was completely neophyte about Maori Culture, so I was very glad to discover such respectfull and ancestral culture.
In Cook Islands : what a little paradise !!! I also took the opportunity to do some caches there while discovering the island and its splendour. The views are awesome and the welcome of the inhabitants very kind. The climax of my trip was the Across the Island track with Pa’s and its knowledge of the Island.
Thanks again to all owners : KIA ORA & KIA ORANA to all of them.

Struggling for coverage...but guessed it would be down here some where...but two bisons thats lucky...signed both ...hste to be here in the snow...that would make it testing thanks dwarp ...great effort
We trailed down the hill following the usual paper trail. After being brave about putting hands in tussock a cache was found. It looked old but ok. Signed the log and replaced as found and in the process found a much newer bison- signed that as well!! Thanks for the placement drawp.
Great view from top of Lindis Pass. Lots of tourists and toilet paper about!!!!!! Watched the footing.
We were travelling from Queenstown to Twizel and stopped here to take some photos. It was registering 34 degrees on the car thermometer.

Ventured through (but no contact with!)the abundant white tissues in the area. Didn’t take too long to locate, some great views here!
Logged with GCDroid. Quick cache and did extremely well to avoid any suspicious tourists. Tftc

In Omarama for a caching/tramping weekend with BCD. After a change in plans due to the weather it meant another day exploring the area and lots more caching! Headed up the Lindis Pass for a look all be it was raining and overcast and not very good views. Still a popular place for stopping but the three cars that were in the car park all departed at the same time and was able to make a quick find without being spotted. TFTC
Nice view. The rain was pursuing us but I was able to find this one in the sunshine. I had a hard time believing the GPS but it turned out to be right on.
T-Tech and I are touring South Island for 6 weeks
After two fun-filled days in Queenstown we are now heading to Mount Cook! We took a break here, and it sure is a popular spot! The cache took a bit of finding, but was eventually a smiley. TFTC, drawp.

Magnificent drive here. After looking for the listed small sized cache, I changed my search and soon had located the micro cache. TFTC drawp.
last full day before flying home, we have managed over 2000kms and not quite 500 caches but a great week away, thanks to all the COs who have placed these caches and taken the time to look after them.
The (major road trip was about to begin) that was for the Oamaru Geofest trip in the company of HKCB and iammrwalker for a bit of a road trip across to the west coast, through Haast and in a roundabout way to Oamaru.
My trip stats were as follows: 617 caches (214 Puzzles), 3300kms, 500 litres of Petrol, 21 hours sleep, 100+hours caching time. THe weather was wonderful and apart from about a 6hour period on the sunday we had fine weather all the way and feel that we made a bit of a hole in the region.
Firstly thanks to all the CO's that put in the effort to to set up these caches and to all the CO's whose caches we did not find this trip, well we are already planning our next trip.
We worked hard at getting specific caches (especially the Geo Art around christchurch and hence our concentration on this area for the preliminary 24 hours. So after a couple of running repairs to the rental vehicle (fuses not working) we were off knowing that all ports could be charged and that sleep was for the weak.
Sorry about the copy and paste logs but that is what tends to happen with a number run of this size.
Having not been through the Lindis pass before this was a real treat and an excellent spot to stop and take in the views on the way to Mt Cook & the Tasman Glacier. Great location once again

I found this Geocache on a Geocaching mega mission along with Cats&Dragons and HKCB. With only just over three and half thousand Geocache finds I was very much the over achiever in training. We were in the South Island to support the Oamaru Geofest event, hunt down some Jasmar and D/T harder to find Geocaches, lonely caches (those not found in more than 6 months), virtuals and try and meet some milestone numbers. We signed the logs HIC, an abbreviation of our respective Geocaching names, (H)KCB, (I)ammrwalker and (C)ats&dragons. A huge thanks to all the CO’s who placed and maintain the Geocaches we found.
I arrived in Christchurch late Thursday evening having left straight from work and was picked up by my intrepid companions in our four wheel drive rental to find they had already grabbed about 270 finds in the previous twenty four hours. I wonder if the rental company would have still let us have it had they known we would travel 3300km in it before returning it four days later? Our trip took us to Greymouth via Arthurs pass, Ngahere, down the west coast to Haast across to Hawea, Cromwell, Twizel, Aoraki Mt Cook, Tekapo, onto the east coast up to Oamaru and back up to Christchurch via Akaroa and countless diversions and small towns along the way. We slept in the car for the first two nights, grabbing some shut eye between cache finds, taking turns to drive. We rented a small place in Oamaru for the other two nights and appreciated a bed to sleep in and a hot shower. It was an amazing trip, in which I discovered the South Island has some of the most incredible scenery in the world.
This was the easiest of the three caches we picked up in here after parking the car. TFTC.

I was worried passersby would think I was making a relief stop. Found quickly and logged even quicker.
Traffic building up again and I completely missed the cache before this one. Stopped and did the tourist thing as well. GZ area has lots of rubbish some of which I think is a bit dubious as to its origin. Found cache and all good. Love this country of ours and took photos along with others at the lookout area.

After 5 weeks Australia I went for 8 days to NZ. In this time I drove 2100km, hiked over 100km and searched and found lots of Cache on the gorgeous South Island!
Sorry, that I publish a uniformly post, but I cant remember all of them.
Thanks to all the Owner and all my Kiwi friends for this great time. New Zealand ist the most beautiful country in the world - by far!

Managed to get a bit of direction from the GPS arrow, but couldn't get any clues or anything, but had no problem making the find anyway. The usual disgraceful amount of toilet paper around - such a shame!
So many muggle tourists stop here. A coffee cart would do really well here!
Thanks for putting these caches in another great lookout spot.

Quick find despite all the loopies. They showed no interest in me. I'm really bothered by the litter here. Hard to tell if it's loo paper or nose tissues. Revolting whichever. Urgh! Tftc
Finally, the day has come and I have arrived to New Zealand. This three week long trip has been planned for more than 6 months. First of all, I was going to visit my daughter and her boyfriend, who has been on the islands for almost one year, next was to see as much as possible of both North and South islands. My daughter had done a day to day planning on where to go and what to see. This trip was not planned as a Geocaching trip, but we should definitely search for some caches all over the islands.
Day 20. Cromwell – Mt Cook
A shorter trip from Cromwell to Mt Cook was on the program for today. A few stops was made on this trip. This was one of the caches we found. Logged together with Klövsson and Familjenloov. Tftc

Quick stop to check out the view on our way down to Christchurch from Queenstown. Hadn't loaded any caches this far north onto my GPS but managed to quickly look it up on the laptop. Sadly didn't notice the one at the other viewpoint as we also headed up there... Cache found without any difficulty.

Logging late (24 Sept).
Took a trip back to Chch from our new home in Southland. Following a slow vehicle who didn't stop off here - so I did. Unfortunately there were too many oters here to make a find, so left if for the trip back. More successful then - only one other vehicle and had my daughter with me. Despite the cold, it wasn't windy so didn't feel like the minus something the car thermomenter was telling us. Stretched out legs for Cache #2 as well.

I was down in Invercargill for a few days, grabbing a few caches on my way to Omarama for the night. Second time here, missing last time. Quick find. Thanks for the cache.
Found it easily while pretending to take photos. Lots of muggles, but they are pretty much busy with their own camera. TFTC
Akirey and I visited in April and May New Zealand. First we decided to look around on the South Island including Steward Island then we went to the North Island.
All the time we enjoyed our trip. We saw a lot of sweet animals, amazing landscapes and met many nice people.
Also we searched for some caches. This one was one of them.

On our journey to New Zealand, xhead and I travelled to the South and the North Island and to Stewart Island. We had a lot of fun hiking in these great landscapes, viewing a lot of interesting animals and nice peoples. Sometimes a little treasure likes this Cache was crossing our way. An Easter weekend trip to Queenstown picking up a few caches on the way. Chelzea and I had her brother muggle with us so not as intense cache gather as previous weekends but managed a good number. Thanks to all the CO's for all the placements with some cool locations and placements. Sorry for the Cut and paste logs but will note anything special on the cache page.
Day 112 of "consecutive days with finds". Cache #1191.
We spent 4 nights and 4 days in New Zealand for Easter holiday. We drove from Christchurch to Queenstown, and the view was great. We found 44 caches on the way, and this was the 22nd.
We parked our car near WELCOME sign, but the cache was not on the sign. Checked the cords, and realised it's not far away. Found the cache with the help of hint. Quickly signed the log before some muggles approaching WELCOME sign.
Thanks for the cache, drawp. Greetings from Adelaide, Australia.

During our vacation to New Sealand we visited many beautiful places and visited some caches. This one was one of them. The container could be found easily. It was retrieved quickly and logged mugglefree.

More beautiful scenery - what else is there to day!.
A few muggles at the carpark but nobody interested in a lone cacher.
I keep meaning to make the effort for the venerable Desolation but it was 7.20pm and i still had a way to go.......
Thanks, drawp.
