What was my second cache hide was also my favourite. It took several days of a holiday to find the right bolts and nuts, and then to machine it for the log and the hide.
Looks like someone liked it more than me.

We knew exactly what we were looking for but we think it has been muggled as there is a spot that is definitely missing a part. Perhaps it needs checking
With my 2,000 finds bearing down on me this was a perfect chance for me to head north and knock off a few caches, a power trail and set my self up to get Gawler Fort Knox as my 2000th. The day didn't start to well with a dnf but when I moved on to the second cache, much better luck was had and finally i was getting into my groove. Upon getting into gawler, a couple of finds were made before heading out to do the OTD Jul;y series. I was able to power through the first 30 before I had to double back to find one I had given up on before and what do you know, I found it within 30 seconds of hopping out of the vehicle. Why couldn't that happen on my first attempt. So with my find count up to 1999 it was back into Gawler for tea before heading to it's Fort Knox. Were this log shall be continued.

Starting off an awesome weekend, with friends, caching and plenty of cake to boot.
This was the 1st of a few, guess we probably really should stop talking so much, then maybe we might get a few more caches.
Visited with SnapHapy, thetravellinbees.

The last day of the month and the last day of our SA caching adventure with fellow Victorians the Suscoe duo, was probably the coldest and wettest day of our trip. We managed to dodge some very heavy rain squalls and stay more or less upright against the fierce wind. Extraction tool in hand, **we had no trouble adding our names to the log.** Not sure what the issue was with previous seekers. Found an imitation cache nearby this one - religious pamphlet in plastic bag.
Our thanks to Pirate Rock for placing this cache.

Suscoe’s last day in the Barossa Valley in the excellent company of Phetlern.
We headed off bright and early and took the main highway route to Gawler and later on we wandered our way back to Nuriootpa along the Barossa Valley Way.
We picked up caches along the way on both main roads and also in and around Gawler.
Lots of interesting locations for these hides and we enjoyed a range of traditionals, puzzles and multi’s.
Thanks to Pirate Rock for this cache.
A most enjoyable way to finish our stay here.

Owl needed a distraction and SA Sewer Rats needed stress relief, so they organised a mutually-beneficial caching afternoon. By this stage Mrs Rat had taken over as tour director and was enthusiastically finding caches for Owl, who was having trouble calibrating her GPS for Gawler.
Found it. Mum found it because it was longer than the rest. You might have to think hard
Today the garden was well on its way to being In full bloom. The perfume was sensational. Great hide. TFTC and I'm adding a favourite point.
Found it! with "Strange Man", after some initial searching high and low, after all it is a Nano/Micro lol. Found at 10:05 on Sat. 27 Feb 2016. Tftc.
Today was a special day, with the aim to get JJ52's 3000th find. We set off early in the morning with a bit of a plan and hoped to get as many of Gawler's caches as we could. At the end of the day I had 32 finds and 2 DNF's, experienced my 4th visit to Gawler Fort Knox and found an old (original) MIA cache that had long ago been replaced!
This one took ages and for the 2nd time today I found myself rolling around on the ground checking things out
Quite a number of theories were discussed & investigated about where this cache might be. Eventually it turned out to be something completely different, and we were relieved to make the find.

Ismartis and I headed to Gawler today, somewhere I had not done any caching and I was on my way to number 3000 so it was a good opportunity to see some different country and earmark a special cache for my milestone. We set off with a rough plan of the caches we would try and find and ended up having a really good day with 34 finds and 2 DNF's for me. [^]
No muggles here today so we were able to search without interruption...and search we did...and search...and search. [?] We weren't having much luck and were discussing what we should do when we both had another look at something that we had looked at before and yay it was the cache. [^]
Thanks for the cache Pirate Rock.

Having read the hint, we suspected we knew what to expect. Even though the GPSr was having a bad day, sending us off course, we quickly located the area and the container. Well done! TN, LN, SL. 5 TBs visited. Thanks!
Tftc over from perth for xmas with all my family so taking opportunity to grab a few while i am here. Coordinatez put it in the middle of the road tho.
A bit of a hard find. Might need to bring something to get the log out with( tweezers). TFTC
This was our third attempt in looking for this cache. Thanks for the find, found with mrbuzzy
Awesome place when they say extra small they mean extra small and bring tweezers
Found at 11.11 am on our second attempt. Log is totally full but we managed to sign. Thanks for giving us a shady spot to rest on our warm morning bike ride. TFTC
While the oldest boy of Young Einstein was at scouts me and the rest of YE went for a night of caching this one was easy to find but a great cache tftc
OMG my first cache on my own.
Thank you so so much for this wonderful hidden cache.

Had to sit and think for a bit then bingo! Great hide. TFTC. Log book almost full.
Did not come with appropriate geo tools today so couldn't write in the log. So took a picutre instead. TFTC.
Found during an impromptu visit to the Gawler area. Took quite a while to locate after taking a seat and perusing all possibilities. Thanks for the clever hide Pirate Rock!
Today we travelled form Greenock to Gawler. Set up in the caravan park for a few days & then went out to do the July trail & a few others n the area..
We could not find it last time we were here, today we had to take a different approach & we soon spotted this very cleverly hidden cache. Worth a favourite point.
Thanks for placing this cache Pirate Rock

Ok, trickiest find to date, took a lot of hunting - could not log in physical log as no tweezers and did not want to damage
I liked this hide. Tricky enough that muggles will never get it but a cacher on the ball should have no problems, especially with that hint.
Great fun to find. First real microcache. Added a little extra paper as there was no space on original log.
We found this one really quick mes bee had it in hand because she was a bit nuts... well maybe lots but things aside great hide.

Found by The Boofs TFTC ☺. The gps had us on the road too. Had to sit down and sort it all out.
This was awesome !!! Looked in so many places - so many red herrings !! Thank god food land was open. - would have happily paid $564 for tweezers!!! TFTC
Took a while to start looking in the right spot, the hint was vital. Had to buy se tweezers from Foodland.
Muggles everywhere this time of day.
TFTC!

Had a real good look around tonight, after failing to find previously was glad to finally sign this one off. Thanks to Co for nice hide.
Came last night with no luck, back today in the daylight and my geo mother had her hand on it.
Fairly easy find on our way home from visiting Services SA - in itself an interesting experience.
Thanks for showing us the roses and yellow is my favourite colour!

Out on a driving lesson with MonkeysBehavingBadly. Grabbing caches on the way. Thanks for the hide.
Coordinates had me out in the street but once we looked in a more logical spot it didn't take too long. Roses are suffering from the ravages of summer and neglect, but when in bloom I can imagine this a beautiful little spot. Thanks for bringing us here and for the creative hide.

Finally found it. Should have been one of the first places I looked. Thanks for all the help
It is a nice rose garden, missed it this time due to time but endeavour to return.
One FP more, these are fun to search Thanks for the cache and greetings from Finland!
Found during an early morning breakfast stop before a road trip. The hint was a great help. We have found many of these cache types, but the added twist to this one deserves a favourite. TFTC
