This Geocache has gone missing again, so I am removing it, and will be placing a new cache nearby (about 30 metres away) in a less exposed place.
Stopped on my way to Thames. I looked and looked but no luck today. TNLN. TFTC The Defpom
heading home for the coromandel and prefering this route to the great northern coffee swilling carpark.. this turned out to be the last for the day when they gps started playing up again.. i am sure garmin has released an upgrade fault to decommission all gps units.. my 62s has done nothing but weird stuff since that 64 cam on the market...? Nice we spot and suprised that cover has remained there for long enough to hold a cache.. would have thought some cleaning type would have come along and moved it on.. what with the water frontage.?
Stopped at the nearby freedom camping area for the night. Sadly in only three more days I will leave New Zealand. TFTC and greetings from Germany!
Well, this was a neat one, and the tide here was out, and the bird were feeding. Many species, nice to see. Love watching them.
Thanks for bringing us this way The Defpom.

I'm working on a couple of challenges at the moment, and the caches between Miranda and Kaiaua look to be quite useful. The plan was to round up this lot and sleep on the beach with the other campervan crowd... That was never going to happen... Not when you have teenaged girls...
Headed straight for the shadowy part of the beach. A momentary search produced nothing, so I had to re read the cache description. No problems finding the cache. Luckily, the car was parked to screen off the man mowing his lawn across the road. A little later, we noted a family having their dinner right on ground zone. If they're not cachers, I hope this is safe. TFTC. Took the TB.

Found on a quick stop on a blustery, wet afternoon. We were meant to be meandering pleasantly to Kawakawa Bay, collecting caches, but the weather has put a dampener on that.
Quick find but couldn't enjoy the views, steady rain out of low clouds. Waved to the lady watching over the road but she just turned away. TFTC
Today we travelled from Paero onto the seasid town of Kaiaua.
We. travelling along the beautful sea front, forestry & the green farmland..
We found a great selection of caches. As I cannot call all individually evey cache is important to us, & has made our trip to New Zealand special
Thanks for placing this cache The Defpom

Windy spot, but oh so gorgeous!! Imagine a sunny afternoon would be spectacular. Tftc
12.10pm. Out for a days "adventure" with the grandchildren. Overshot the fish and chip shop they had been promised a visit to but the cache was quickly located and some had a leisurely stroll back along the beach to heighten the appetite for fish and chips. Left a signature pathtag.

interesting area, even late at night, definitely want to come back during the day as never ventured this far up on this side. TFTC a nice peaceful spot. a little jealous of the neighbourhood in summer!
Our third cache for the day on our way to Miranda Hot Springs we parked our car practically right next to the cache and it was a quick and easy find for Mrs NZ Traveller! It is a nice dry cache and in good condition we were led to believe that there was a travel bug in the cache but unfortunately there was none to be found. TFTC

This morning I was on my way to the Whakatiwai track, so I thought I had better get this one. I checked to make sure the tide was out, but it turned out no to be an issue. XNSL. TFTC.
Quick stop on our attempt to do 50 in a day and at least 1km apart for the Geocaching Licence. After a coffee stop at Kaiaua we headed south down the coast, 8 down, 42 to go. TFTC
Out on a road trip with Lostcorse to chase some FTF's, after missing out on one and getting another we decided to break up the trip to the next inbetween the rain, TFTC.
Out and about with Mitsimadman today chasing a couple of FTFs on an impromptu road trip. We were passing by so stopped to break up the travel. Super quick find here. Cheers for the cache placement!
The education sheet from doc was amazing and a valuable read to my 3 cacheters
It was time to get a few caches that were in excess of 50km from home. This was the nineteenth for the day. As the time was getting I decided I would have dinner at the pub but after doing one more cache up in the hills. BTW, the fish in the fish dinner was very fresh. Yummy.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
GPSr had me searchingnthe wrong spot to start with. Widened search area going passed GZ in the other direction. It was when I was returning to the original spot that GPSr pointed me the right way.
Area had a strong dead fish smell, so was glad to find and leave. TFTC -GCoin

Found it after bit of a search, GPS pointing in all directions. Off to get fish and chips for tea.. and they were really yummy, Highly recommend Kaiaua fish and chip shop for good feed. TFTC
BC found this one for us - so just the signing duties to complete! The beach looked beautiful today! TFTC
Thanks for bringing me back to this spot, cache easily found, and as an added bonus it was virtually across the road from where I used to visit on school holiday many many years ago

NZ road trip with Schlitz13. On our tour we had the time to search for some caches. We found them, and some special places of interest or great views.

We continued our trip to the Coromandel Island all the way on the coastal highway, so it took some time to get there, but on the way we saw many beautiful sites and took very pretty pictures. With the geocaches along the way we found some more interesting place to see and to take pretty pictures. After we saw Manaia Bay and Maungataururu lookout we arrived at Pauanui.
We visited this cache at about high noon, but had no problems finding it, so we had no shady spot, but did some pretty pictures up here.

additional information: I will change my geocaching alias name from 'Schlitz13' to 'Megalodon'

Great day tramping in the Hunuas with Nova & C&D, with a bit of caching & many a tall tale along the way. Finishing off the day with a few drive-bys. My 1st visit to this coast & loving it! Thanks for the reason to stop here, TFTC
Nice quick find. Took a friend with me. He is now hooked on geo caching
No travel bug. Hoping the last person has taken it
Thanks heaps

Out today with Nova Lightning and Kiwis69 for a bit of a meander through the ranges, plans were fairly fluid as hadn't known what to expect from the day, but in the end it turned out exceptional.
After finishing in the hills we headed for the flats, Nice little spot to rest weary legs and make the most of this piece of coast

This was a great cache during a very big walk.
Was in the area with Cats&Dragons and Kiwi69 with collecting a whole lot of caches. We left Hamilton at about 5.30 and headed North not quite knowing if it was going to be a great day or a wet one.

I have a new cache ready to place, I was just about to do it and it started pouring with rain, once the weather clears up I will get it placed and re-activate it, hopefully tomorrow.
I haven't replaced this cache yet, I will try to get onto it shortly, I need to get a new container sorted first.
I will probably move it a little to try to make it harder to find which may help with the muggled issue.

Sorry people, this cache appears to have been muggled, I cannot find it myself either
Grabbed some fish and chips from down the road and ate them here at this very pleasant spot by the sea. Couldn't find the cache though.
Beautiful spot but no luck finding cache - out on a road trip - never been here before
Searched hard but couldn't find. Last found in July so might need checking. Thanks anyway.
Found it lying in the open and very wet inside. Dried, added a bag for the log, some dry swaps and replaced it out of sight. No TB in it. Lovely spot to stop for morning tea! ThAnks!
Nice and easy drive by cache, TFTC

Pretty quick find here, but a nice hiding spot. The silicon bag looks to have burst - unfortunately I didn't have anything with me to make repairs. TFTC!!!
Along with ig'nmig on way home from a great weekend at Miranda.Picked up Trackable SMQY69 and left it at GCTZOV. Thanks.
Fifth find of the day after a night in our motorhome at nearby Ray's Rest. Easy find. TFTC
