Rattll and I are on a three week road trip around the South Island. Today, we started in Blackball in drizzly rain, and we've made our way to Wakefield tonight. No real targets for the day, although adlabs are always good, but somehow we've picked up some goodies for the day.The Great Geocaching Grand Tour of New Zealand Cemeteries rolls on! Pretty obvious where it was hidden, so a quick find. All good in the container. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
Its a bit of a drizzly start to the day, but we managed to grab this one without getting too wet I left an alphabet stone - the letter H.Thanks for putting this here
Passing through on my tiki tour around the mainland. Camped at Blackball for the night. This cache was close by. Thanks for hiding Moneydork
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.

Early morning visit while staying in Blackball, after finishing all the PWs yesterday. Nice little spot. Thank you.
Spending the winter woofing, tramping and exploring the west coast caching along the way ..of course..
Spending the next wee while based in punakaiki as I landed a bit of work..
Hitting the track for a few days while the rain has stopped, having completed an awesome 3 days along the track I now had the fun task of hitching a ride back to the start to pick up my truck....just happened to be picked up by a legend who was happy to take me all the way round " in the work vehicle of course"....perfect opportunity to grab a few on my way back down the road...
Wouldn't be a caching trip without visiting a cemetery..quick find tftc

I was in Black ball for the weekend as you do try and find a cache or two..found in good condition thanks moneydork
Not to be out done after our adventure in the tunnel we walked down to find this cache. Our muggle friends were keen to come too. All quiet at the dead centre today. Thanks for the cache moneydork
Today we were out on a maintenance run out to Nelson Creek to check all the cards then up to Ikamatua and home via Taylorville Rd on a miserable rainy day. I knew this one needed attention so it got added to our maintenance list today. (actually the main reason to come via Blackball instead of Dobson) The container had rusted and was therefore tight to open and the wet log just jammed inside so we again just replaced everything. All good to go here again. Happy Caching
Continuing on our PWGT journey visiting the top of the Mainland this weekend. Paid our respects to this one while in the area TFTC.
Came to visit my great uncle John Lyons. He saved a man from drowning but couldn’t save another and died trying. The community raised funds to erect a headstone/memorial to the two men that died. John was the local cop. The three men had been out fishing.
Found the cache but log completely sodden. Couldn’t even open it. Thanks for the cache - great to be able to log our visit.

Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
Weather today was unsettled with rain at times.
*We soon had another good cache located, log wet here!*

This is a must visit town! Found after a drink at the Formerly Blackball Hilton. Log is very wet. Tftc
Nice sunny first visit to blackball. Had to do a geocache whilst here. Tin is wet but log dry.
I do love cemetery caches. It's surprising how many people sign the log and don't log out on the web. There's nine names in the book since the last name on the website. Thanks for the cache.
Called in to Blackball on the way back to Picton. Found after a few minutes search. Thrown off a bit by the new fence. Many thanks for the cache.
After finding Under the Goal Posts and eating a delicious lunch at The Blackball Inn we continued geocaching. We stayed the night Greymouth. Look out my friend Ethness is in town. We have started our road trip with Jude-E. Tripple Trouble. Thanks Moneydork for placing this geocache it is find 8201 for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

Finally(!) found (something my soul's been looking for for...ages.) Built my own headstone: "Cairna do be'er tha' thart". Off to the Hilton for a quick Wake; gotta lubricate the wheels of industry. Whew.
Some expensive headstones here. The replacement cache is good so far, but since it's a tin it will probably rust up fast.
Surprisingly dry... we arent!! down pour while walking to cache, found cache dry, logged our visit and returned to hidey.
Found! Looks like all has been replaced & good as new. A Girl w Words & cousins
Neat little cemetery. Found with a short search. Ditto of previous log re: container.
found with UlmusLynx on our way to Greymouth
container has one wing, could get wet
thank you Moneydork for the cache

Didnt spot at first as think has altered a little at GZ. However eventually spotted. Cache container now one winged which may let water in. TFTC
Epic road trip today with K C N - we have just been to the nearby "Under the Goalpost" and were having a quick look around Blackball. I recognised a few names in the Cemetery from a brief working sojourn on the Coast (gulp!) nearly 40 years ago.
Thanks for the cache, Moneydork.
Thanks for the cache, Moneydork.
What a shame most of the headstones aren't in too good a shape, unlike the cache which is still in good order even with two clips of the container missing. As mentioned in previous log it has been re-located slightly but still within the area of where gz should be as there is some fencing being done around the whole of the 'boneyard'.
Great find. Was worried it might have been misplaced due to new work but it was still there. Thanks!
The last log is hilarious, a guy signed it saying he found it working at the cemetery! Good on him for signing it and putting it back safely!

An early jolly to pick up the local delicacy from the town. Grabbed this one with SJT_NZ we both found cache but then started pouring with rain so SKY headed for the car and I logged in wet. Cache all in good order.
A quick find with Tregearp whilst in the area for the nearby power trail and a side trip to Blackball for some sausages and salami.
All in good order, signed log and replaced as found.
Thanks Moneydork for the cache.

This was to be BaldEd's last day with me as he was heading back home at lunchtime so we ventured out towards Blackball locating and signing the odd puzzle and multi on the way.
After doing Under the Goalposts cache we started to head for Stillwater.
Cheers for the cache.

Finished the work in Blackball so now its time to pick up some caches on the way back to Greymouth. TFTC
When I found this cache every thing wet and mouldy. Dried it out and put New plastic bag ANF paper. Did not know what to do with old wet book so left it in container.
