Almost a year later logged again, all good with the cache Driving further from Blenheim via Nelson to Golden Bay & the Spit we took a loop via highway 1 to 63 and number 6, a nice tour through the country and so many caches. We stopped here and there with our muggle friends who were patient and just enjoyed our smiles when we found a cacheLike this one Tftc
Day 8 on our holiday in New Zealand. Today our tour is going from Punakaiki to Nelson. We also visited this tradi, found it, and signed the logbook.

Hadn't noticed these here on previous times going past. Quick find today once at right spot. Tftc
Driving back to Blenheim this afternoon, and I took a slightly longer route than normal. Since the only option home is to go via Tophouse, and detours were sending me over the Spooners anyway, I added a little bit extra on the trip to take me past three caches that I have driven past previously.
All three were quick finds. I think the challenge previously with these has been finding space to pull right off the road, but today was not a problem.
First find, parked up and walked 150 metres or so to it. I think last time was a DNF for me. No problems today. TFTC niteowlnz.

On our way back from Nelson after a small holiday. Finding the cache was easy compared to the walk to GZ from parking.. TFTC
Day 10 - Labour weekend extended road trip with Kiwicampnut - relocated to stay south of the ditch.
We overshot this, and did a bit of a circuit up and down the road. Parking is dodgy at best. Once at GZ followed the geoteail.
Thanks for the cache niteowlnz

Heading up to Nelson for the weekend and had to stop off for this one as it one of the last 4 dates I need for the hidden date challenge. I thought the feature was the mailbox but then I saw the real feature that matched the title. Quickly found. Tftc
We enjoyed the long Waitangi day weekend by going camping with friends at Quinney's bush. Last time here I went looking for some caches so not so many options left this time - at least not in walking distance. But I got up early and decided to come here. Few cars around, so running along the street was ok.
Nice quick find, thanks for new logbook

Woohoo my first Geocache outside of Blenheim and seddon Pleased it was still there after all these years
A classic bit of New Zealand quirkiness! I love it. TFTC. Without the cache we’d have flashed by and never seen the fun feature.
Wow - it’s really hot suddenly- 29°c and rising! This did make us smile, and there were enough gaps in the traffic to make crossing the road safe. TFTC
I was wondering how this cache got its name...till I looked about
I pass a similar setup to this on by way to work, but on a much smaller scale

This ornate fence deserves a cache! Thanks for this straight forward find niteowlnz.
Some very kind cachers have put in new paper and got rid of the old wet log - next time I go past I will pop in a new log book
Love the quirky fence.
Quick find here, new paper slightly damp, so removed old wet log that had been left in there.

Pulled up to grab this cache and I hopped out of the car to find while Andy treated his wounds from the previous cache. Found the container full of water - possibly due to the lid being unclipped. Dried it all out and repaired or replaced as necessary, then put back in it's hidey hole. tftc

Back on the road again for another international trip. This time to Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and South Korea.
Like our previous trips we focussed on old caches, high favorites, rare cache types and pretty locations.
Most of the trip was together with Plaguerider, Zanna and FLtravelers, but some of it I did solo.
Logs were signed as DATT (Do All The Things) and if there were answers, we typically sent them as a group.
Thanks for maintaining the caches for us.

**Trip log:**
Found during Team DATT's (Do All The Things) annual international caching trip consisting of FLtravelers, PlagueRider, waterfan5 and myself. Africa kicked it all off back in 2016, with a follow up European tour last year. I tried to pitch Asia but the pull of the Great Ocean Road and completing our 6th continent was too strong, and we landed on week long road trips through both Australia and New Zealand. Before meeting the team in Sydney though, I was able to schedule some layovers in Asia (Beijing, Bangkok and Singapore), so in the end I got a bit of everything. =)
**New Zealand Day 13 - Picton -> Nelson -> Greymouth:**
Today we took the very non-direct route from Picton to Greymouth to maximize our coastal views. Lots to see and do along the way, including a stop at the Nelson cathedral, a rainbow covered Maruia Falls, and the amazing Pancake Rocks at sunset.
**Cache Log:**
Interesting fence decorations y'all have here.

We’re on our annual international geocaching trip as Team DATT (Do All The Things) comprised of FLtravelers, PlagueRider, waterfan5, and zanna. This year we chose to explore Australia and New Zealand. Zanna and I decided to do a two-day stopover in Beijing, a three-day stopover in Bangkok, and a 12-hour layover in Singapore on our way to meet up with the rest of the team in Sydney.
Once we got the Team back together, we made a “bee-line” to Lane Cove and various caches around Sydney. Then we headed down the coast on A1. After visiting Wasp Head, we headed up through Canberra and down M31 to Melbourne, after a webcam stop on Mount Buller.
We had a great time in Melbourne, which is my favorite city in Australia so far, then onto the Great Ocean Road, the highlight of Australia for this trip. After a couple days (not nearly enough) we left the ocean road and headed up A6 towards Victor Harbor (webcam) and Adelaide (webcams) for our flight to Auckland. Seems we found every webcam in Australia.
After a short week in Australia, we flew into Auckland and continued with our explorations in New Zealand. We drove over to Tauranga, and then down to Rotorua and Taupo, enjoying the thermal features. We headed down 5 to Napier, with stops at a couple of waterfalls, and then down to Wellington to catch the ferry to the South Island.
We spent the night in Picton, and then over to the awesome west coast, before crossing over Arthur’s Pass on our way to Christchurch for flights home.
We targeted old caches, highly favorited caches, earthcaches, virtuals, and of course webcam caches, and anything else that got our interest along the way. Logs were signed DATT. Answers, where required, were sent by one of the team members. Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of our trip with this cache. Great spot.

Today we made a trip to Lake Rotoroa. Very nice landscape, unfortunately also some rain was on the way. At the lake etaws could be bathed until the biting flies annoyed us a bit. The way back to Nelson was Cacher time again. Several simple and nice caches were on the way, sorry for the standard log. It becomes more individual again when the www is more stable on the road. Now we'll make a ratatouille.

This was the fourth day of my driving trip down to Oamaru for Geofest 2017. I stopped every five to ten kms or so along the way to grab a cache. This expanded my driving time to a total of two weeks to get there and home again. I ended up going a total of 3,500 kms.

Day # 8 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ .
I had so much looked forward to return to this beautiful country, and now I'm here again - awesome!
Today's rainy tour took me from Arthurs Pass to Nelson.
The weather was more than sh...y throughout the major part of the trip ..
Rain, rain, rain [xx(] - and a road slip just 21kms out of Arthurs Pass [B)]. Road was closed for nearly an hour ...
Needless to say, that most of the treasures that were waiting along the road had to remain undiscovered due to flooding , heavy cats and dogs-rain [B)]and general 'I am not gonna leave the car now' - feeling [B)] .
But finally - approaching Nelson - the weather cleared up, got better and the sun came out. Cool!.
The day was a bit exhausting but ended up promising - rewarded with 16 finds and 'home ‘n dry' [^] !
Really enjoyed this cute little box at the side of the road and the teaparty! [^]
Hey - WestCoast and Nelson- you have awesome caches [^] !
A big thanks [:X] to all Owners involved [^] for hiding and maintaining .

Today was the day we wanted to crank up some numbers so we went caching for 'park and Grabs'. It was a lovely day and we started in Wakefield before heading south and then back north. This was cache No 18. I was expecting to see the march hare here so had to drive past twice before I saw the items - very nice ! Thanks to all the cache owners who made this a special day.

NZDi and I had planned a two day caching weekend with the original idea to cache from Blenheim to At Arnaud to Kawatiri Junction to Nelson on Friday, then cache around Nelson on Saturday. We decided this would be too ambitious and scaled it back and start from Kawatiri Junction and this was the eighteenth cache of the day.
Throughout the weekend our logs were signed Kiwimykl + NZDi or KM + ND or variations of the two with or without the date depending on the size of the space available and / or the particular logging requirements of the CO.
For a change there were a few kms between the last cache and this one, so we had a chance to catch our breath. This cache is obviously placed for southwards travelling traffic as there was nowhere to safely pull off when travelling north, but we did anyway. This resulted in a bit of a walk back to the cache which was easily found thanks to the hint.

A day at the nearby Quinneys Bush and some caches on the way home. Overshot the GZ and with a stream of cars behind and nowhere much to turn around, we needed to head a few KM down the road before returning to look.
Took a few minutes to find this one, given the length of the grass but the container colour just gave enough of a glimpse to allow us to find at the third post we looked.

A plan was hatched to try and grab a number of caches, in excess of 120 if possible. I had already found a load between Renwick and St Arnaud but consulting the map around St Arnaud area showed some semi power trail drive by caching opportunities. Fellow Manawatu cacher the Seagnoid was asked if he was interested and a resounding yes was the answer. So the car was fuelled up at very early o'clock and provisions for munching were also loaded. An 0630 start was the plan and the day came to its conclusion around 2130 after approx. 15 hours of driving and caching.
Outcome was a very successful figure in excess of 130 caches which constitutes best day ever (for both of us), best week, month and year too. Over 500kms driven today and man I feel tired but need to make a start logging the finds, and DNFs. Thanks to all the C Os involved in making our day such a great one. Nearly all caches were well maintained, interesting and accurately plotted. There were bellbirds, beech trees, pies and water, sealed roads, gravel tracks, no sandflies (thankfully), rivers and bridges and creeks and bridges and streams and bridges and much conversation about all things caching
A great day out in good company and all made possible by the efforts of the hiders.
T F T C to all the cache owners. We mostly signed as C/S or Capp/Seag or other combos
Nice place for a cache, exactly what our hobby is about. Nice photo opportunity too

[green] Capperz called me up saying he wanted to get his ruby Busy Cacher badge, and try for 120 caches in a day. I said YES PLEASEE!!, as I too had tried this once before but only achieved 103 before night defeated me and Edvern in Auckland last year. A successful day, with over 130 caches found in 14.5 hours and 500km. Also tiring - I went to bed as soon as I got home, despite it not being dark yet (yes, we could have cached some more, but the next objective is 180 caches, and there was no way we would have achieved that!). Alas, I had to leave all the planning to Capperz, and he produced a great little plan, listing all the target caches (and more) with which way to turn at next intersection after a cache - a great way to plan a back road travel.
The day was cool, cloudy, with a little drizzle. Perfect caching weather - the weather kept most of the muggles away from the muggle areas.
Thanks to all the COs for a great day out exploring the back roads of the Marlborough region!
Logs signed as CS or occasionally as CapSeag.
Better than a jandal fence any day! Was hopeful to find the cache container in theme, but, no . Photo.

This was one of the most epic weeks ever, and definitely my most epic caching week ever.
Me and mum headed up on a holiday north to Nelson and very wider surrounds. In total during the trip, we found almost 500 caches! (470 odd I think, but final results are yet to be in! ) We covered about 3000 odd km I think too. Crazy! And had our absolute best caching day ever too at 160 found. Spend 9 days travelling, caching, and having the best time ever!!
So sorry about not so epic logs, as otherwise this would probably take me the rest of my life to log, especially with two big events to organise coming up! Eeek!!
Almost every single log we signed as 'Team Polak' to avoid needing to write out both usernames taking up space on logsheet - as well as precious caching time!! Haha.
This was it - one of the caches on our big day

For the sake of sanity we set off with sonia26642 for a crazy geocaching trip, aiming to cache until we drop. The main destination was Nelson and the ‘surrounding’ area, but then we ended up covering a few miles in three northernmost regions, plus a few in Canterbury. We were signing/stamping the log as 'Team Polak' or ‘TP’ for the two of us on this trip to save logbook space. We found a lot of different caches, city ones, road side, park side, up a hill and on an island, and we enjoyed every single one of them. It was good to be a professional thingfinder for a few days!
Today was to be our biggest day. S planned the route to cover the most possible easy to get P&G’s but we ended up not limiting ourselves to only those. D2.5? Why not? Let the brain have a bit of fun! D3? I am sure we can get there quickly!
We had great fun and are grateful to all CO’s who placed caches for us to find, and help restore our sanity before returning to our other non-geocaching lives!!
Come and join us the next New Zealand geocaching MEGA event!! Register your interest now at www.nzmega2015.com to receive newsletter updates and be the first to know. It will be a great event, come and be a part of it!!

Found it quick enough, the guy on the hill must be very used to people stopping tftc
Oh dear, that took me a while! The coordinates are a little out so just look on every post. It's not that hard hidden, but I actually just looked here because I got impatient. TFTC!

Went looking with CWNN. Did not find it. The muggle farmer who overlooks the cache from his farm, knows where it is and came over the field to chat to us. He was surprised when we could not locate it because he was sure we were in the right spot.
