Logs
Found by WesternSydWanderer after hed gotten a bit too much into a nearby tree with some menacing crows. TFTC
Birds serenading us in this quiet park. We are here for the weekend for Floriade and are scooting around the town collecting smilies. Thanks Pacmania for placing and maintaining the cache for our enjoyment.
I would have said bush rather than tree. Very interesting to learn about the history here and the regretttable reduction in public transport in the paat. TftC.
Thank you Pacmania. I needed the hint to discover (uncover) the cache. Mind the nearby drug den with needles (I saw one stabbed into a tree!).
Caching day in Canberra I arrived last night and got the virtual at the airport which gave me a cache in very state and territory in Australia in 5 months. So today was all about numbers wont know untilI complete my logs how well I did but I walk 19.5 km. Off to my event soon TFTC
Having had dinner nearby with girlfriends from Melbourne, I grabbed this one of my way home. It was a quick and easy find in the dark with my headlamp torch, as the cache shone brightly. And I love a good, solid hint. Thanks for the cache, Pacmania! Love your work
After travelling to Adelaide for The Great Leap Forward then to Canberra for the MEGA and all the places in between our holiday is almost over and we will soon be heading back to Queensland. We are signing logs as 3 for QLD- RoddyC, Hatzofff and me. Grabbing a few suburbs today. TFTC
Our time in Canberra is coming to an end. Our focus is now on collecting a few more suburban caches before heading home.Glad I was here on the weekend. I think it would be a hive of people's at lunch times.Caching with and signing as the group 'Q3' and having a great day.TFTCache Pacmania
Mega is finished, and we, Q3, have a few days caching before heading home to QLD. This is our penultimate day and we are still chasing suburbs this afternoon as the rains have kept us indoors (plus shopping) this morning. Interesting story. Glad it was a Saturday. Log signed and cache replaced as found on 6 April 2024. TFTC, Pacmania

Exciting times over the next couple of weeks as we takeoff for the Capital GeoBash in Canberra! Its going to be a flood of Sandgropers over east, with a host of West Aussies making the trek east for the event. Im travelling with fellow Cockburn Crew members Leg5 and Barnzy12, starting in Sydney and hitting the road to Canberra, before returning back to Sydney. Honourary mention to our fellow member, Cravo10, who couldnt make it after recently introducing a new geocacher to the world the week prior. Once in Canberra, the agenda is set, well team up with a host of Western Australians to conquer caches. Collectively, were hoping to make it the biggest ever weekend for cache finding. Following the event, the journey continues back to Sydney, with a mission to clean up caches and new Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring no cache is left unturned in this epic geocaching adventure. Something tells me that well need a holiday after this, well, holiday. All logs have been signed as WAC to save space, abbreviation for Western Australia Crew. Cheers Pacmania! Join us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!
The Cockburn Crew are on tour at the Capital Geobash in Canberra - travelling from Perth to Sydney, Canberra, Sydney and finally back to Perth.Today was day 5. We completed a huge number of trails, challenges, whereigos, traditional, multis, earthcaches, labs, virtuals and puzzles. It really was a great day for variety. We enjoyed caching in territory we havent been before. Weve filled our boots with some rare DTs and DTTs and generally had a great time. Thanks to the COs for a great day and event. Logs signed as part of team WA/WAC (WA Crew)
Over here for Capital GeoBash Mega. One of many hidden caches all over the city and surrounds for Mega Day weekend. Night caching while muggles largely locked away, TFTC
Attending the Canberra Geobash over the Easter long weekend and found this one on Good Friday afternoon.TFTC
A fast find while on an afternoon walk in the area. The nearby meeting area had me nervous but it was empty. TFTH
With some wacky weather earlier in the day, I'd held off on today's find until the early evening which seemed to line up perfectly with the shortest queues at the ice cream shop doing 3 scoops for $7.90...Coincidence? You'd have to ask [@RoamingHowie](https://coord.info/PR5FGT7).Anyway, a cup filled with the gradually amalgamating flavours of choc hazelnut with TimTam pieces, salted caramel, and biscotto was thoroughly enjoyed en route to this cache.Well, really I'd intended to do one slightly to the north next to a tennis court, although there were folks actually using it (surprise surprise) which made this trad a little more enticing instead.Fortunately, I had no trouble once arriving at gz, largely as there were no muggles here, and the hint was quickly put into use once the concrete post was identified.A familiar glint of green in the final specks of sunlight for the day caught my eye which resulted in the log being signed shortly afterwards. Thanks to Pacmania for putting this one here!
#4555 A scratch around amongst the leaf litter and the cache was soon enough uncovered. Thanks Pacmania for this piece of history.
2 for 4 today. I wasn't comfortable searching overly long at dusk with a homeless encampment nearby.
Came here at night with Baristayan and we honed in on ground zero pretty quickly, but that was only half the battle!
Down on the haunches I went, and weaves through some branches and spider webs to finally grab ahold of the little fella. Thanks! Awesome history about the old railway line

poked around a bunch of the bushy trees near posts and did not come across it
This cache has been damaged the cache container is gone and the note is left in the weather
Like previous logs. Found the log on the ground, but no container to be seen. TFTC
Found a note on the floor with other catchers names but container was no where to be found no string either
The cache didn't have a container we only found the paper. It was a adventure to find
Same story, the bison has lost its base, signed the log which was somehow dry but not sure how to keep it that way TFTC anyway! Also cool history )
Found the lid and log. Someone seems to have made off with the container, leaving the lid and lof scattered on the ground. Rain washed all writing as well.
We are travelling down from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Canberra for a 6 day (5 night) holiday, staying in a park cabin at Alivio Tourist Park in O'Connor, and planning to explore the areas around Lake Burley Griffin, old & new Parliament House’s, the Australian War Memorial, Questacon, the Carillion, Black Mountain, Mount Ainslie, and areas around Canberra Airport and maybe out around the Kowen Forest if time permits. Have solved most of the CBR Wherigo Puzzle series and numerous other Mystery/Puzzle caches, so will hopefully get to some of those, and will do some of the Adventure Labs, Virtuals, and EarthCaches in the areas we visit. Photos will be uploaded to logs after our return to home base.
Today we visited Black Mountain, Haig Park in Turner, All Saints Anglican Church in Ainslie, St Johns Anglican Church & Cemetery in Reid, and took a stroll up & down ANZAC Parade and it's war memorials. This was the 35th of 35 finds for the day (day 2), and 58th find of the holiday.
After completing the Adventure Lab at St Johns Anglican Church & Cemetery, and collecting the AL Bonus cache, we stopped off at this Traditional cache for our last cache of the day. Made a reasonably quick find, signed the log, then replaced as found. TNLN.
It was interesting to learn of the old railway line, and it's obvious route with the two straight rows of trees. TFTC, and the history, Pacmania.

Visiting Canberra for a long weekend, needed to grab a cache to get the ACT badge! Visited the war memorial, and found this one on our walk back to the hotel. Good find, TFTC!
Poked about for 15min. Someone recently dumped rubbish in here or have moved in. Got tired of getting scratched
Yes, good cache. Took a bit of time to find the right tree but got there. Thank you.
Had something to pick up nearby so decided to get this one as a start to the next mountain. Quite amazing I have not picked up this before. It in my oldies list of caches before 2010.

Popped over here after completing a nearby AL. What a lovely park! Cache was found without issue and is in good condition. Thanks, Pacmania.
