Quick find took awhile to get it out from in-between rocks it was wedged in got there in the end tftc
I went out today to clean up stragglers new Mapua. I got this one first. No trouble getting the cache since I have a height advantage and long arms. TFTC.
It took a while to spot the cache, and a little longer to extract it. We don't believe a person in a wheelchair could find this cache. TFTC
A pretty quick find here. No issues and very little traffic, although there was a couple walking just ahead who almost muggled me at the one up on the road. TFTC B&W. All good.
Day 7 of my 2020 NZE (New Zealand Experience).
(My apologies for the delayed logging but I'm in catch-up mode)
Seeing as I can't be in America right now, I'm touring around the South Island instead. During my time here I am aiming to find as many of the TMGT caches as I can (preferably all 41) and also as many Virtuals, Earthcaches and Letterbox Hybrids as possible, plus any Trads or others that will fill a hole in my D/T grid, my Jasmer grid, or else the last 3 remaining Hidden Dates on that grid.
After my huge drive of yesterday, I had planned today to be a bit more leisurely. I had enjoyed spending some time in Golden Bay and Takaka, and was now making my way towards Nelson where I had intended to spend the night, stopping every so often to grab a cache to break up my journey.
This was just such a cache. I chose it simply for its proximity to the highway. It was a relatively quick and easy find at GZ, and with only light traffic going past I was able to sort out the usual field caching administration and replace everything as found before getting back in the campervan to drive to the next one.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Nice quick find early in the morning. Glad the rain stopped earlier than expected and it was a dry morning.
Today was my last cyclocaching day in Mapua so I was out enjoying riding the new roads and cycleways around Mapua, and finding caches whilst doing so. My gps lead me to this cache for a quick find. Thanks b&w.
Easy find on a glorious hot summer day out on the bike, thanks BandW for this one
In the area so able to make the quick grab. The goats in the next paddock were keeping an eye on me though. Thanks for the cache.
On a road trip south, enjoying the day and pic up some caches. TFTC

Parked near the bus stop and headed over this way. There were some large-horned cattle across from here, behind fences as it happened. Found the cache and replaced as found. T F T C b&w
I've had a busy couple of weeks at work and was originally supposed to be working today, but with a couple of other things looming on the horizon I asked if I could have the day off before starting back on night shift tomorrow night, and yes was the answer. So, with mrs capperz supposedly at work this morning on the early shift I also got up and underway and was on the road from home at around 0615, with a full days caching ahead, culminating with the event near Mapua at (I thought 1500, it was actually 1400 - oops, made it in time though).
With thick fog all the way through from Wairau river bridge to the Whangamoa saddle it was steady driving to get me into Nelson just after 8, and a full day saw me back at home for 1845 after a catch up at The power of 3 cache with Ricardinho, the Seagnoid, TB Dragon and Jojo. A successful day was had with some park n grabs out Central Road way, a couple of previous DNFs conversted to smilies (and a couple of new DNFs to add to the list!) and a few points towards the latest souvenir scramble. Thanks to all COs for their hides, specific stories where I remember.

After some work at a local CITO seperating weeds from young natives, Taybeedragon and I went driving round in circles. Stopped here along the way. Okay, stopped over there and walked through the tunnel.
Looks for the obvious? Te mamaku? Kaore he mamaku! But the cache was still and esasy find.

The Seagnoid, Toby and I are heading to Nelson for a CITO but plenty of extra time for exploring and caching after weeding the local natives at Mapua.
From the road we find our way down to a people tunnel under the highway. Bit slippery in places with wet mossy concrete. Now a walk through. Is it up there? No nice easy snag and tag at the other end. Cheers

Thought we would walk the short way from Under the Stop to get this one. We remember getting one on the other side of this tunnel a few years ago. A quick find. Thanks for the cache
Need to check on some earthworks and so was passing by.
A quick find with TregearP. All in good order, took nothing, left nothing, signed log and replaced as found.
All in good order and thanks for the cache.

Checking out things on the properties and sneaking in a few caches, a quick find, TFTC
After cycling the south island for 2 months we are spending the last 2 weeks of our holiday in the Nelson area - and naturally we need to log some caches . Tftc!
yes , we found it, but the way to find it was much longer then the way back.
Thank you for this box.

Finally, the day has come and I have arrived to New Zealand. This three week long trip has been planned for more than 6 months. First of all, I was going to visit my daughter and her boyfriend, who has been on the islands for almost one year, next was to see as much as possible of both North and South islands. My daughter had done a day to day planning on where to go and what to see. This trip was not planned as a Geocaching trip, but we should definitely search for some caches all over the islands.
Day 9. Motueka
In the afternoon, we took a short walk around I the neighborhood to look for some hidden boxes. This one was easy to find. Logged together with Klövsson and Familjenloov. Tftc

#2827. After attending a funeral in Blenheim yesterday, I decided to spend the night in Nelson and give myself a chance to make start on the very large numbers of caches in this region. By 4pm when I dropped off the rental car at the airport, I had managed to find 37 caches between Nelson and Motueka (plus one more cache in Wellington to fulfil the requirements for the "North and South Island in One Day Challenge" GC5RJFK). Parked across the road and with a gap in the traffic raced across and down for a quick find of the cache. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Then walked back through the tunnel and up the slope for a safer return to the car. Thanks for hiding the cache here.
Lovely walk to the bridge and you can see some animals of the animal farm took us little while to find it. The logbook is full it's needs changing.
We have zipped past this cache so often looking for a road that didn't exist. We found it today quite easily. TFTC bumandworker.
Parked on the Mapua side of the track and hot-footed it under the highway. So many tracks here just waiting to be used, it makes you wonder if they are here just for the purposes of having caches hidden along them.
My phone suggested I look closer to the bend, but turning around I saw a much more likely place and was not disappointed.
One more on the B&W tally...

No one anywhere, I wonder how much use the area gets.
A straight forward hide, thanks BnW

A lady biker came along and said its over there so that made it easy for us. TFTC.
I must make an effort to actually bike these trails. Thanks for bringing me here.
Thank you for this wonderful cache. It was a beautiful place in an incredible country.
The cycle tracks i this area are amazing. Good quality and lots of effort put into the making of the tracks and the gardens nearby. Found the cache easily even though it has been a while since anyone found it.
That is some bike path - more like a road! We quickly walked to GZ and even more quickly located the cache as we were a bit worried hordes of cyclists would descend upon us as we had seen a race marshal where the path met the road. Fortunately we never saw any cyclists at all. TFTC.
#7486. This looks like a great bike path; be good to explore it one day on a bike. TFTC.
Wow never would have known this was here. What a beautiful night I chose to come out here! The sun setting and sunbeams shooting up over the clouds, so picturesque pity i didn't have my camera. An easy find at GZ, TFTC!
Didn't know there was an under pass here. Quick find with Sir Belac TFTC

Nana was looking at some of her old logs and this one shows that I enjoyed it. Thank you
A not-so-quick find on the way back home from the Motueka Steiner Spring Fair. TFTC
Beautiful Sunday afternoon and it seemed a waste of a day sitting at home, so decided to head out of town and find a few caches. I've driven over this so many times without knowing it was there. Might return with the mountain bike one day and explore further. TFTC!!
Easter weekend and what better than to go cache hunting with my favourite Easter Bunny. Worked out a circuit and off we went. The joys of caching and the surprising things you find you never knew existed. Narrowly missed getting muggled but all good. TFTC
Today I Went for the 100 caches in 1 day. With a very early morning and just breaking even at lunch time with 50, it looked like it was going to be 12am to 12pm. But after a move out of the city they started to speed up, and i managed to grab the last at 20:30 with 106!! Thanks everyone for the caches that they have placed, from the ones that have been planed for months to the park and grabs
Quick find on my way to work this morning. No trouble finding somewhere to stop. Lovely day looking out at the Moutere. TFTC.
Can't wait to try the bike track. Didn't even realise it was here. TFTC. Jackie and Grant.
Found easily by Mr 5 yr old in a place Mum had looked. Kids enjoyed making alot of noise in underpass. TFTC
Found as part of a geocaching trip to and around Nelson. TFTC! Found on 27/8/2012 (but forgot to log the caches from this trip at the time!)
TFTC. The advise re finding safe route to the cache was useful. Found a pleasnat spot to park and then have a short wander to locate the cache. These cycleways are looing pretty great.
Out for a few caches tonight in this area. We found a safe way to this cache with no problems and had a short pleasant walk to GZ. Cache soon in hand. TFTC.
Some worries how to approach this cache on a night caching run as stopping along the Coastal Highway is no option. Coming from the side road something just glowed in the dark indicating a safe way and it was. A short walk to GZ and cache was soon in hand and log signed. Took TB. TFTC
Probably the closest cache to our ground zero and have walked past numerous times. Left a TB fresh from Alaska.
Yet another classy underpass. Must come back from Auckland when the cycle way is completed.
Found on Easter Monday with furpurse, Mum & Dad. We didnt intend to cache today but we wanted to make it to 100 caches over Easter Break. #2/10 for the day cleaning up caches we skipped on the way through yesterday.
This one had a looking longer than it shouldve. There was some rubbish covering the cache from view. TFTC

Nearly got caught out by a cycling muggle when I was hiding the cache. Take care, they turn up out of nowhere and you can't hear them coming. TFTC
Found by junior member of whakatu3.. All 3 members and dog out on geocaching walk .. We live close- ish so about time we got here TFTC
A good excuse to stretch our legs while on our way to the Takaka Caves. When we got back to my car a road working crew pulled up and parked in front of me, behind me and beside me - hello!!! I don't really want to be boxed in here in the middle of nowhere!!! Managed to squeeze my way out and be on our merry way. TFTC.
Batteries failed as I drove up the bypass, found a spot to stop, gps fired up and there I was just a short walk away from GZ
TFTC
TFTC
Quick find two people on a quad bike passed me got back to the car and it turns out they got pulled over by the police. TFTC
It turns out that the parking spot at the Gardner Rd end is the pick up spot for Mum's waiting for the school bus
Not a good look though for a lone male cacher to be lurking around a bypass when the kiddies have just got off the bus

Nice underpass, most disappointed at the lack of a water feature though Cheers Gav [7729]
A quick find in the rain. I think I prefer the other underpass - with the stream running through it.
6686 Quick find after by-passing Te Mamaku via the underpass. Nice to get some shelter from the rain, TFTC.
Great drive around today hunting for geocaches. Found cache in good condition and located it quickly using the walkway. SL TFTC
In a far far away time, long before earthquakes (well, about ten days before, actually), Annie & PB went geocaching in Nelson for Annie’s birthday. Some of the caches never got logged, and this was one of them. So we’re logging it now – with a, hopefully, never-to-be-repeated, repetitive log.
So, thanks for your cache, and I’m pretty sure we signed the log. We maybe even took a coin or TB on further travels, or possibly dropped one off.
