Not much happening on the maintenance front.

Could do with a check up.

28-Dec-12
Searched and searched with dutch frangipani but the GPS had us searching between 5 different trees. We tried each one but to no avail.

The description says it is 300m east of the playground but I think that should be south of the playground.

Oh well maybe next time.

28-Dec-12
Unfortunately SorceySal and I didn't find this one today. Coordinates led us to nothing in particular and we searched a few places around GZ to locate it. No luck - noticed another log of not found before us.

26-Dec-12
Didn't find this one today. I attempted this one after the Intervening Days event. I found a likely hiding spot but no cache and then I checked all the trees but no cache. It appears there is gardening work happening and I wonder if the cache has fallen victim to this work.

We enjoyed a lovely walk to this cache on a warm afternoon. Found the cache partially uncovered due to the muggle workers mowing so close to it. We dug a bit of a hole to half cover the cache before placing bark etc over it so that if it happens again the cache should be still covered. Muggles arrived with their children just as we were about to leave the park - great timing indeed! Sorry we did not have a plastic bag with us today to replace the broken one.
Cool TFTC ausdynamix and bringing us to this park

This was, cache # 15 of 24 finds for the day, in the company of Trailrunning, we had been chating and texting for some time now regarding caching but never met, so tonight we finally teamed up and went caching, we had a great night with lots of laughs along the way. I know were on a numbers run but its not usually this easy, we walked up and there it was in plain view. My thanks to ausdynamix for the cache.

01-Oct-12
The usual TDC cache grab had been put on hold for a week, so I was looking at doing a solo run when I remembered I had a rain check promise with the legendary RebelActs to go on an evening caching run during the school holidays at some stage in the future. Well tonight was the night. We met at Glen Waverley and were soon moving west to Melton. It’s hard to find locations close to either of us where we haven’t already cleared out the area, so the Melton area was easily accessible and fruitful enough for us both. In all we visited about 33 locations with only two DNF’s, one DNA, and 1 very flat tyre. All in all it was a great night out. I finally got to meet RebelActs after corresponding and talking for such a long time and never actually caching together!

We had a great laugh here. Whatever cover this cache had it was gone. Cache was just lying in teh open. A nice easy find for us. We covered it over. thanks

22-Sep-12
Parked the car down along the road, and took the stroll back to the park, and then along to GZ. A few loud, boozed and boisterous muggles in the park area, but they didn't seem to intent on watching me. Had GZ to myself, the cache was spotted immediately, logged and returned. Thanks to ausdynamix. Plastic bag is ripped and full of holes, and unfortunately I didn't have my caching bag on me, so I couldn't replace it.

Following the noise and chat of the Intervening Days event, this was a very peaceful spot. The satellites had the GZ 7m to the NE of the cache location today, but the cache was fairly quickly in hand, the log signed and we were on our way.

Found today after Intervening Days IV on a caching run with Rabbitto and The 2 Wanderers. Approached from the wrong side and someone took his shoes off to get across...thanks someone Wink SL TFTC

27-Dec-11
We found this cache at 7:05pm as the 23rd of 24 on our Intervening Days IV - Melton Cache Day in company of Kinkell1 and The 2 Wanderers. We were heading for Botanica but since we were almost passing this one, we decided to stop here instead. We walked in and got within 26m before realising that there was a small creek dividing us from the cache. I looked at the walk to go around, looked at the 26m on the GPSr, the walk around, the 26m and decided that it was much easier to doff the shoes and socks for a quick paddle. Turned out to be the much easier option and no nasty surprises in the water either. Thanks from D & HA B-A.

A lovely little piece of parkland in suburban Melton. A few "interesting" comments in the logbook from an immature muggle, but at least they left the cache in place. Cheers!
