This cache was found as part of my epic as move down south to Christchurch from Auckland - A drive that involved around 3,000km, 350 caches, 14 days, and a bit of a detour through East Cape, Gisbourne, Napier/Hastings, some back roads in the Wairarapa, Cape Pallisier and Nelson/Tasman as well as every CANZ cache along the way that I was still missing. (Hence my excuse for the not as interesting log as I usually try to make mine.) But thanks to every awesome amazing as cacher that placed caches along these roads, you made my trip awesome, and very cache happy!
I had camped up for the night near here... pulled over, and slept in the car. Funny, as after I woke up, there were some other people parked just up the road from me, and they had put their tent up - I may have discovered a good new freedom camping spot!
Interesting plants around here, definitely!
TFTC!!

Found as part of a geocaching trip to and around Nelson. TFTC! Found on 27/8/2012 (but forgot to log the caches from this trip at the time!)
TFTC. What a great surprise as you drive around the corner. Super fun. Thanks for placing a cache here for our amusement.
interesting prehistoric animals in this area. Decided to explore the road down to the sea in the rain, almost lost my 4 wheel drive into the sea.... mud mud mud. Cheers.
A quick find at an interesting location/feature - thanks for bringing me here to see it. TFTC
A quiet day caching with Holymu. Somehow I never thought of following this side road and was amased by the amount of properties and the views. Having come this far we just had to investigate the 'yellow submarine' too. Then unfortunately run out of time. Thanks for bringing us here.
A quiet afternoon caching with Hazedarus. Although I have lived in this district all my life I had never been along this road, I never realised how far it went to the end. Thank you for giving me an excuse to explore what should have been familiar to me long ago. TFTC.
Great spot, and a pretty cool T Rex as well, Did I see a Stag up on the hill as well. TFTC
Loved the sculpture and the position...just like a voyage back to prehistoric times. Jr Taybee was so excited he had to have his photo taken feeding him!
I am back in the south island again geocaching , I am doing a road trip with this Nana and Auntie and having Good time Thank for the Caches

Quite surprising, what animals can be found in NZ... Log is full and wet, should be replaced. TFTC
A quick find while giving my parent a tour of the district.
Plenty of laughs at this point.

bum has been to this very property several times in last 12 months when dragged off the couch. Made the mistake of parking on grass opposite......had 4 wheels looking for grip !
Really liked this one. Got a bit of a fright when we came around the corner. Thanks heaps for the cache. Would have never knew about this without it.
First cache of a few today on a rather drizzly and miserable day! Cheers Gav [7689]
Didn't see T-Rex till I walked passed on the way to the GZ. Impressive. Thanks for bringing me here!
6845 Stag-er-inn for a quick find… there were a few visitors here today, TFTCool C.
Great drive around today hunting for geocaches. Found cache in good condition and located it quickly. SL TFTC
Had a crack at this with topgear01 whilst in the area and without gps. Really cool spot!
Happened to be in the neighbourhood (without cache loaded in to Gps) and remembered there was a placement here;- now, where would I hide it- ah, got it! Good one, thanks.
A good location for a cache - Thanks for bringing me to this very well done replica.
Glad this was the only one around. Wouldn't want to be attacked by one of those. TFTC
He's a well hidden monster, you can see how they could exist for years and yet be thought to be extinct!
I didn't notice it on the way - too busy looking at the moose/deer or whatever they are up on the hill. I thought they don't really go with the Jurassic Park theme but of course it all fell into place as I walked past to grab the cache. Very good! TFTC #1710
Spotted the large critter and found safe parking further along the road. Quick find. SL. TFTC.
Oh just one more then... Another diversion on a short trip to Mapua, amazing how long these journeys can end up taking!
We enjoyed the sights when we popped in on the way home from Mapua. Coordinates spot on for a quick find by Mrs Sobad while Sobad manned the car. TFTC
Good find this evening on our last cache find for the day just before the rain was about to appear, interesting area had to take some photos.

Our final cache to complete the Welcome to Nelson Challenge and very handy too.
Muggled by "Mr Potter" up at the corner.
Luckily we know him and he has heard of our cache exploits, so now he knows what the furtive people down the road are doing.
Interesting collection in "The Park".

Saw this one area couple of weeks ago and thought we must return to put a cache in Thanks for saving us the trouble. Did this one under torch light TFTC
they say you snooze you loose lol - did another cache a few weeks ago down this way and said to Stretch0 we should pop a cache here - were put off by the lady watching us from across the road doing her gardening meant to come back lol we have now to do your cache here instead done this evening by torchlight ( no gardening being done this visit !!!!! ) thanks for the cache signed log
Took some time out from work and had a nice drive out to a few new caches out this way. Wow. I must admit to never having noticed this feature before. Impressive. You could say I was 'enraptored' (urgh). TFTC, Biggles.
Nice One!!!!!!!! No problem with this one as co-ordinates were spot on. Just one of those neat little rural roads that are most often overlooked. The highlight was the stag at the top of the hill. Most impressed. Thanks
Quick warm-up on the way to the main attraction. Quick night cache but I know the Park dwellers from previous visits. TFTnightC. #CS#
