Came here today as it came up as a start point for Mystery at the Museum. When arrived noticed this is disabled. As we had found this one some time ago and had an idea what to look for but I’m sure the area hash changed a little since we were here but couldn’t find what we found last time.
Now just to try and work out this mystery thing.

Found on a brief stop to grab some food in Lithgow on our way back from an epic unloved FTF. We though we would invest 10 minutes. Sneaky hide but we have seen this before. GPSr rather than phone was very useful as the coords seemed spot on.

Together with my son, I embarked on a six day road trip from Sydney via Bathurst, Parkes and Dubbo to Bourke and back to Sydney via Mudgee. In total we clocked over 1,700 kilometers and along the way we stopped almost 90 times for grabbing a roadside cache.
Our third and last cache in Lithgow for today. Of course we could spend much more time here geocaching, but then we will never arrive in Bathurst in time.

After a DNF earlier this week I PAF who had recently found the cache. He told me what to look for and where to look but at GZ today it was evident that the area has recently been mowed and the shrubs severely pruned. Perhaps the cache has gone?
Finally!
I have replaced the replacement log with a new waterproof paper log.

Tftc, looked for this unsuccessfully about three times, got a new phone since last time and apparently i have been looking on the wrong side of the bridge
Woo hoo finaly conquered it after several attempts! After reading through some logs at home changed tactics & upon returning found immediately. TFTC!
On a day visit to Lithgow and thought we would include a few caches.
What timing, arrived at the cache just as another player had located it.
We signed the log and moved on.

TFTC. Very trick find. We were almost going to record a DNF. When geodaughter yelled out 'Found it'
One of the last caches on our list for a Sunday cache trip. Alas no luck. We will be back!
Well thank you Teamstilllookin... You were successful at driving GeoMum crazy(ier!)...Nice
Theories developed and discussions got heated...Minor mental meltdowns may have occurred...
Defeat seemed imminent... (Oh no!!)
But alas, with a little help from a random Cacher we encountered earlier that day at another site, we returned with GeoSon excitedly proclaiming that he now knew where it was. Turned out he didn't (haha!)...
In the end, we were very impressed with the devious disguise!!
Signed log and replaced it exactly where we found the sneaky stash...
TFTC!! Well done...

A quick find before tackling some more demanding terrain stuff. Interesting camo. TFTC

Visiting a mate in Lithgow for the weekend and this time i brought my bike. Was great fun riding all over town collecting the caches. Lovely to see some of the history of this place. Cheers.
What a clever cache! I was a little despondent after reading the logs and not finding it in the first few minutes, so I sat down and was reading through the logs when Geomum called out "found it!". Very very impressed both with the cache and Geomum's growing caching ability. Tftc!
Spent some considerable time on this one! But it wasn't until we were on our way back to the car, away from the posted coords, that I found it TFTC!!!
Found with bgranahan.
One of the quickest finds I've ever had.
Cache all in good order.

#2795 - Took a while, but ye bridge it be it not. Perhaps a good rubbish pickup while not being totally fenced in but tightly wired would ye be successful.

We had been staying in a lovely Cabin nearby and thought we would do a bit of Caching, this one looked like it would be a hard one, but we found it very quickly nice hide TFTC.
Sometimes you have to look at the not so obvious places

Once Isquba stopped focusing on the obvious he found it with a bit of luck as he was heading to check something he saw from the stairs.

We are spending a week in the Lithgow area for the September School holidays, staying at the Lithgow Caravan Park. This was our 4th, and last, find of the day. 44th find of the holiday.
Like the nearby "Off the Rails" cache, we stopped off at this one for a quick look on our day of arrival in Lithgow. Had no luck on that visit, but today we returned for a better search, not wanting to log a DNF before heading for home tomorrow morning.
Arrived at GZ and started the intensive search. Rechecked some previous spots, just in case we had missed something, and then widened our search from where the GPSr was indicating as "0". But it was geoson#1 who finally found the prize, and saved us from that dreaded DNF, only a few metres from the "0" spot. Quite a sneaky hide, and we can see how we had overlooked it the first time.
Thanks team stilllookin for the challenging cache.

The D rating attracted us to this one. Not sure what we should be looking for but we had a look in all the usual spots. With no luck we shifted our focus slightly and then reveal the hide which was not what we were expecting. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.
last one for the day. walked away 3 times before coming back each time for another go. read a few previous logs which shed some light as to where I should look and finally came up with the prize. fav point for the hunt not so much for the view. tftc
Spent too long. Gave up three times only to be told not yet by partner in crime. In the end nothing to show for our efforts.
The last day of our Christmas/New Year camping trip saw us heading from the campground in Vittoria State Forest - located halfway between Bathurst and Orange, via Bathurst, Bells Line of Road and Sydney.
This was the last cache we found during our road trip. We have been here three years ago and didn't find it. This time we were lucky. We must agree, neither the location or the camo was what we expected - but the coords are almost spot on.

Nasty, Nasty, Nasty!!!! Seen this before but wasn't looking for this at this site! Saw a log by a cacher we knew and rang for help! Found the little blighter! TFTC and a fav point for keeping us busy so long!!!!!
Well everything pointed to being in the bridge, which it isn't unless it's been muggled. Another 45 mins wasted here. Tftn
Tftc nifty cache, thanks for that smiley, searched for this one wen i was still a begginer, this time it was easy !
We also stopped here to find this cache on our 4 day trip from Sydney to the beautiful Billabong Safari Wilflife Camp at Dubbo Zoo.
Thanks for showing this nice places

A decoy had me for a second, but then I spotted it. Not that hard if you have done some of blundo's train spotters. TFTC
I have come across this type of hide before making for a quick spotting but a sneaky one for the new comers. SL..TFTC
This is a clever cache that is in plain view, but there are lots of red-herring decoys around.
After searching all over the bridge and trying to find something loose, and taking some it apart, I widened my search and immediately saw the sneaky little container. Well done! TNLNSL TFTC

Was expecting long and tenuous searches by I ended up grabbing it quite quickly. Can't really talk of "beginner's luck"... Well actually these are my beginnings in Lithgow
