It is currently lost. Area where cache is hidden extremely wet as is the park through which you must walk to get to it.
Found the sentinel, found where it looked like the cache would've been hidden, even found the big ants....but didn't find the cache.
Went searching for this one the other day but came up with a DNF. The mega ants put us off searching any further!
This is so gross there are huge ants all over it and they are massive and everything inside is wet. Very muddy at the moment
Couple of quick caches after work. Yes why ?.... never even knew this area was here.
I emptied the water out of both the inner and outer containers, unfortunately the outer lid is cracked etc.

Found it after a slip, an encounter with slaters and questioning why are we here!
I was out taking the geodog for a quick walk and thought I would try and get a couple before the weather turned on me. I drive past this park daily so it has been nice to claim a smiley. TFTC
Easy walk down hill here to find the Forgotten Sentinel ! Quite easy to spot him on my way towards him !
Thanks cabhassett !
Thanks cabhassett !
Took my dog for a walk and thought I'd look for it at the same time first one found so pretty cool 830am on a Sunday so no one around
We did this one on Valentines day 2016, so much fun, if you find it our names were Sally, Lissie and Rob! Was an amazing walk from our house to here and we had so much fun exploring!
A lovely walk thru one park into the next park, around the corner as such and there it was! The sentinel on guard! Luckily for me I was under the radar today, so I was able to sneak to GZ and sneakily uplift the cache without being spotted. I even managed to get away in my get-away-car before the sirens went off, **Howz that!**
Very apt clue! Took Browns Bay walking group here and they thoroughly enjoyed it! TFTC
The end of 2015 saw us take on a big couple of days of caching. At the beginning of the year, we set a goal of reaching 4000 cache finds by the end of the year. Towards the end of 2015, it wasn't looking too promising as geocaching got put a bit on the backburner for us as life and things happened. Come the 31st Dec 2015 and still needing a good portion of finds, New Year's Eve called for some binge caching in th North Shore to reach that milestone!
An interesting monument in this impressive park! A quick find today. Thanks for the hide.

Out and about this afternoon for some cache detection on this lovely day. Parked up and made the stroll down to the lone sentinel. Managed to execute a super quick find here. Cheers for the hide!
Brought a friend with me to find this cache today. She was so excited to find it! I hope we have converted another muggle. Thanks for the cache!
After a day at Piha we decided to carry on caching in the Browns bay area as we had just dropped MissNZT off at the sane side of the family so stopped for this cache. Sent MrNZT out to grab this one as it was getting cold at dusk. Quickly found all in good condition. TFTC.
Should have left the Sentinel forgotten as far as Scottie is concerned! That embankment is treacherous at present moment. Slipped from the top to the bottom even after mentally thinking to self this could be hazardous... Never been so grumpy finding a cache quickly. On the positive side this cache now draws us on the second half of the year with our mission of completing one each day, only another 182 to go TFTC ( I think )
I thought I'd check the easy place before I dove in. This strategy saved me a dive. TFTC.
Good use of my stealth skill here although I don’t think anyone looking at me from the surrounding houses!
Thx for the hide

We had to get some coffee so we headed this way and once we had refueled/ or is that recaffinated we were on task. T4tc
Nice find as part of our mission to get cache #200 today

Nice easy find. We've lived up the road for 17 years & played in this park loads of times but never been down to this area. Thanks!
A quick easy find with Alice Lunar, this sad little sentinal all alone. It was very quiet in the reserve today, so it was a nice peaceful walk to the cache and back to the car. TFTC #317
'Twas a rather bleak and wet morning when I trooped down here on my way to visit a friend. Not a soul around in the park so no need for stealth. Disturbed a rather fat snail who had made his home under the cache out of the rain. Dropped off a TB.
On way to Long Bay Regional Park and I was a bit too early to meet the group so stopped to collect this on the way. Not sure I entered from the right direction but nevertheless found the cache safe, sound and nice and dry. The sentinel is forgotten no longer.
Thanks for hiding.
Thanks for hiding.
This one was spotted out in the open a little bit, but not before finding hundreds of pinecones.

Nice area, seems like a nice park for soccer. Thanks for getting me to see the area ^_^
Nice & easy little trot across the reserve.
Stands out like a sore thumb. Great find for a cache placement
One can assume I found this after virtually every dog in the Shore.

Almost forgot to log this one until Lycurgon reminded me, almost forgotten oops! TFTC though
EB Nano made the find after our slip, slide down the hill. He was impressed to find a cache in a cache. TFTC
Wow, I see what you mean by the park being bigger than first seen! What a great local resource. A quick find on the way to the Mega BBQ. TFTC cabhassett.
Out for a MEGA day of geocaching with Earthbound Chief & Co. A quick easy find. TFTC.
Found with KittyKatch after completing the NZ Mega Okura Bush Walk. We enjoyed the short stroll to this one, which is aptly named, TFTC.
Found with edvern after completing the NZ Mega Okura Bush Walk. Just starting to rain but we are deternined to go on and grab a few more Lots of fun TFTC
Having been up this way to conquer the Tor we thought we better grab some more caches up this way too. I wasn't aware this lower tiered field was even here (and I grew up in Torbay) the things you learn while geocaching!
As we got close to GZ, the name of the cache stood out... Nice and tall.. Quick find thanks. TFTC.
Found quite easily as GPS worked perfectly for a change!!
Couldn't even write on logbook as it is so wet

In a fit of rank stupidity, I decided that the weather should be no barrier to doing some much needed caching. This was a quick find, though apologies for not signing the log. The cache was wrist deep in water and I was just as soaked. I did not want to risk getting water in the thing. A weight might be a good idea, as the cache has a fair amount of buoyancy to it. Anyway, TFTC! NINO, of course. It was worth the soaking!
Found it but it is very water logged, I suggest coming out to replace the log book. I had to blot it dry as much as possible with a napkin to write our name lol.
Thanks for the cache
