Found!! With bf

13-Oct-24
Me and my gf found this one pretty quick ! Only issue is very high muggle area !

06-Aug-24
Tried to get this one a couple times but too much activity. Bit the bullet tonight and collected. Still busy at 6pm. TFTC

06-Aug-24
What an amazing building here and the grounds are meticulously maintained. The tether was quickly spotted and the cache was soon in hand. After signing the log, the cache was carefully replaced without dropping. TFTC

04-Jun-24
Nicely timed. It is 8pm and no one around. Fished around for a bit before signing log. TFTC

23-May-24
I was on a mission today to find a few night caches for the monthly challenge and despite the very clear warning in the description I came here at busy o'clock. I wandered down to GZ and then I saw why this was going to be such a problem. There really isn't ever a chance to grab the cache without being seen. But patience won out and eventually there was a small break, just long enough to retrieve the very nicely hidden cache. The log was dry and I added my name to it. Then another wait to make sure nobody saw me put the whole thing back. Thanks barbbowman for the clever cache hide in this super busy spot!

22-May-24
Still pretty busy at 6 30pm so stealth required! Put my hand in the right place several times before I felt it! Downside of doing it at night is that I had no visual cue. Another for the May challenge - recommended at night! TFTC

12-May-24
After brunch with my daughter for Mothers Day at Nudgee Beach, I found a few chosen caches before heading home.Im needing a few more caches from 2010 for a challenge and Recommended at Night for another so this was a definite to find. Once I found a place to park, I walked to gz where it didnt take too long to see where the cache was. Between cars coming from the shopping centre, I retrieved the cache, signed and returned. As others have mentioned, its quite wet but I was able to sign the waterproof paper ok. I think I heard it splash when I dropped it back in! Tftc

Exploring new horizons today! Lovely church! TFTC!!

19-Feb-24
Great hide, took a few minutes to find and unfortunately the log was wet but still writable. TFTC barbbowman

23-Dec-23
It's an impressive church! We parked in the nearby shopping centre car park, and proceeded back to GZ, where a quick find of the cache was made with thanks to the hint. Note that the hint may need to be slightly altered, as I think the whole point of the hide is to be dropped haha. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and I didn't observe any issues with the age of this tether. Thanks [barbbowman](https://coord.info/PR3C3JZ) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------This morning, it was an early start with baby Cottontail attending Sandgate parkrun. It was a warm and humid 5 km run along the shore and Shorncliffe Pier, but we enjoyed our post-run coffees and muffin. We detoured home through Taigum to grab a few geocaches and make a playground visit, expecting the heat to strike later in the day.

22-Oct-23
Cool little cache! Fairly easy to find with hints and previous logs.Tether looking a little sun damaged. Probably due for a new one!Tftc!

03-Sep-23
This is my first ever Qld cache. Visiting from Geelong. Tftc. A favourite from me

Find it. Such a clever little hide. Still bit wet.

Visiting Brisbane for work and staying nearby. Went for an early morning walk and attempted to find this cache. A very sneaky hide indeed. Was able to add our name to the logsheet.
Thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache.

27-Apr-23
barbbowman I found your cache St Paraskevi on 27/4/2023, 2:00 pm. This is my find 5123 and find # 9 today. Easy find. Retrieving was the issue. As previously stated it needed a jiggle to get free, getting caught on something. Managed to reel it in and sign the log sheet. Returned back. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

08-Apr-23
Noting the very high muggle activity warning times, i decided that an 11.30pm find time on my way home from work would be best. Arriving at GZ i soon found the tether but the cache appeared to be stuck. A jiggle here and a shake there and the cache came free. Log and inner container were wet but the all weather paper was still good. Signed my name after drying the log and returned as found. All my recent finds have been BarbBowman caches. Another smile to the pile. TFTC

10-Jan-23
A cache after work to lift my spirits. Thanks!

29-Dec-22
Nice quick find. Had to be stealthy amongst the muggle activity! TFTC .

23-Oct-22
I flew up to Brissy today ahead of this weeks work, and managed to get some caching in despite the weather. This was my second for the day, its great to be back in barbbowman territory, I did enjoy my time when I was last here, I like your hides.

It took a moment or two to extract the little fella, but all good, signed and returned with 20 out of 10 spent on stealth, easier on a Sunday I think.

Thanks for the cache barbbowman, find #7434 at 3.20pm

04-Sep-22
Just had father's day breakfast in the Caffe close by.. stopped and signed new

15-Aug-22
A chance to avenge my DNF from almost a year ago…

A surprisingly busy corner… muggles galore… so the hardest part was waiting for a break in the traffic…

Tftc… very happy to be rid of this blue face…

10-Aug-22
nice new container attached to the tether

17-Jul-22
Log was Soaking wet, needs mantience but found

07-Jul-22
Picked this one up on an evening run. Log soaked, no chance of a scribble on this one. TFTC

26-May-22
Found with Duppers after a DNF at another location. The log is completely drenched and unable to be written on. Found between breaks in the traffic.

26-May-22
Found with Shazzar66 after an unsuccessful trip to a nearby cache. The ziplock bag that the previous finder put on the tether is now also completely drenched and unable to be written on. Busy time (which is why it’s recommended at night, but I think I successfully missed the cars driving by. Photo for verification

26-May-22
Needs new cache container

05-May-22
Out doing stuff & thought I might add a few more “Recommended at night” attribute caches to zero in on this month’s challenge.
TFTC!

03-May-22
Lovely morning to be out caching with geo friends and picking up a few beaut caches around this area.
Used stealth here after spotting the tether and was surprised to see no bait so I placed a tiny plastic bag with waterproof log sheet between wire to keep this good cache going until CO can replace.

25-Mar-22
Found with Luke W. With limited muggle intervention.

20-Nov-21
As with the last finder I found the tether. It would be a shame to lose this old one.

I AM GUR

13-Nov-21
Found the tether easily, but after I extracted it I noticed no cache was attached.

13-Nov-21
This one needs some maintenance

13-Nov-21
I made my way to Taigum to catch up with a old friend and while there I decided to wander over to grab this cache. I quickly spotted the tether and removed it from its hidey hole, unfortunately no cache was attached. I got in contact with the CO and they have given me the ok to log a find.

Thanks for giving me a reason to drop by.

#2671 - TFTC

13-Sep-21
Found what I believe to be the tether and what the cache should be attached to… I thought about using the tree fishing pole to try and retrieve the cache but the meat hook attached to the end of it would have been an issue…

04-Sep-21
We had to go to the Taigum Shopping centre to get garden shoes for hubby. We got them and checked if there is a cache in the area.

Yes, 110 m away. Off we went.
We found only remaining parts, and informed CO.

While out attending some appointments nearby today we returned to turn this cache into a yellow SMILEY face. After the first time we attended we were unsuccessful due to WAY too many muggles as it was around the time the shopping centre nearby closed.

Before leaving the geocar (track my adventures D78QWZ) we re-read the description, the hint, and the previous finders logs. We set off to walk to the GZ. DFC was directing us where to go. So, we started our walk over to the GZ, talking about where the cache could possibly be located. Originally, the co-ordinates had us looking in the middle of the fields boundary fence then I re-read the description, the hint and the previous finders logs then realised there was an extra hint. We then repositioned to where we should have been looking from the start and searched our search again for the second time.

Thankfully this time within the minutes the cache was in Leathebowler / MummaBear’s hand. We added our ink mark to the cache log and replaced the geocache exactly as we found it.

Thanks for the Cache Barb Bowman
Thanks for the Hunt

Over the other side of town for a bit with my two companions today. I must admit, I was curious about the name. My (muggle) friend George is Greek Orthodox, and he explained that the saint in question was female, and because she was born on a Friday she was called Friday in Greek. Sorry we were here on a Tuesday.

Log signed and cache replaced as found on March 23, 2021. TFTC, barbbowman

A nice easy find today while driving for a wedding.
All of the Muggles were in watching the ceremony so I had free reign.
The log is very wet!

Cache was spied easily, however retrieving it without being spotted proved more difficult. Container was entirely full of water and with so many muggles around we decided to snap a quick photo as proof of find rather than attempting to sign the sodden log.

Too many muggles around for this one today. Had a quick look but no luck. Will return for another look at a less conspicuous hour!

Nice quick find, log was too wet to sign though

14-Jun-20
Caching on the Northside, getting a few finds before the rain.
Grey clouds and wet forecast, but still good weather for caching when I got here.

New log and some water in the cache, my pen made a bit of a mess on the top line.

Thank you for this cache

Placed it back as best I could.

A revisit today and eventually found this one but unfortunately there was a very wet log. I tipped some water out and gently signed my name and hope it doesn't dilute the ink away. TFTC

I think I’ve started a new caching method. Using a pole with a hook on the end I fished out this cache yah. The things we do for a smiley
This cache is good to again.

I was sure I was going to get this one today so went to admire the very different church and got a few photos and I had a tiny trace of the cache in my hand but sadly no cache. I'm chasing night caches but don't seem to be able to get them. Maybe next time.

In town to see Shawn Mendes last night - had an absolute blast, but a trip away from home is never complete without couldn't submitting to the lure of a geocache or few. Priorities are golden. Thanks to the barbbowman for placing this cache, and for showing me an interesting church
Cheers.

On approach in the car I saw a fellow with his local politic a frames. And I had a plan. I between the traffic I located the cache and went to chat to said fellow while I signed the log and waited for another break in traffic. He was very interested with this game. Tftc

Out night caching today to get a caches for the streak souvenir challenge. We had come here earlier but decided to come back later as there were too many muggles driving past. When we finally spotted the cache it was practically staring us in the face, I don’t understand why we didn’t spot it sooner. After a couple cars drove past the cache was soon in hand a signed. One car later and the cache was soon back in its spot! TFTC! Found with Frannymfrog logged as 3K!

After we saw the new challenge starting today potatochips101 and I checked to see what caches we could do that weren’t a gazillion miles away. Have read the logs for this cache often ... thinking this might have to be a nighttime adventure tonight looked like a great time to check it out. . We arrived on site and inconspicuously sauntered over to GZ ... started to look around and got muggled so we decided to scoot home have dinner and come back a little later.
A little later eventuated and we were back at GZ. I quickly spied the cache but had to pretend to be on the phone while a number of cars and muggles passed by. With potatochips101 on the lookout I quickly grabbed cache retrieved log. I kept lookout whilst potatochips101 left our moniker. We had to wait a few minutes more for a break in the passing parade to return cache to its hidey hole.
Great cache ! One of only a few nighttime adventures ... and soon to be many more ...

Made this find after visit to the COs residence. This took me a couple of minutes to spot, them waited for a gap in muggles to grab, then wander to sign them wait again to replace, I was very lucky that it was snack time across the way and everyone was inside.

Found by Princess Buttercup75. Quick stop while at the shops.

23-Apr-19
Parked in the nearby car park and wandered over. Was a bit worried about the childcare centre across the road but the bigger problem was the constant stream of muggles driving past. Made a quick find and admired the church.

Thanks for the cache barbbowman. This was find #4263.

I found the remains of the tether some months ago and seeing it had been replaced it deserved to be on the night time raid list. Walked over and found the same tether! I felt sure I remember that it had been replaced. I stood up perplexed and discovered the cache staring at me in the face! Now I find myself wondering if that was there all along!

With severe storms predicted for the afternoon, I took the fam out for some lunch and a drive to the ‘dark side’ to see how far we got . As it turned out, this was 1/2 of today’s trip .

What a beautiful church here ! ️ . Such a busy spot! Whilst I was outwaiting a muggle parade I wondered over to the child care centre and found a cute little bird sitting on a nest .

Back to the cache, I looked in a few spots and with no luck I soon spied what appeared to be a tether with no cache...

Never fear though, I dug around a bit more and found the cache

Wahoo, I popped it back in a likely spot. Tftc . With the storm fast approaching from the West I reluctantly called it a day ️️

Quick search around spotted the cache on the ground, replaced it where we thought it should be.
Beautiful area.
Thank you for the cache

07-Jul-18
Heading south from Roghan Road I was hoping I was heading roughly in the direction of where I thought the nearby shopping centre was located and stopped to pick up this one on the way.

Arriving at ground zero I looked down the driveway and 'oh look, there's the shopping centre'! I searched around a few places that I thought the cache was likely to be with no luck and then happened to look down and there it was lying on the ground. I added my name to the log and then replaced it where I'm pretty sure it belongs.

25/5/18, 5:22 pm Find #1720
A blank calendar day required something near work before u head home. So a look at the map and I decided Eileen Emily was close enough to pop in for a visit. A short drive and I was soon at Eileen's. Unfortunately it turns out Eileen wasn't at home today, so a quick conversation with her carer ensued before I decided I'd drop back in on her another day after her carer had paid another visit.
So with light fast fading another quick check of the map revealed another spot to visit, one which I have visited before and also come up empty on.
Another short drive later and I was pulling up I think in the same parking spot I was in last time I was here. A quick wander over and I looked up at the church while waiting for a couple of cars to go past. As night falls, with the lights shining over at the church, it looked quite lovely, and there was something about seeing a cat trotting along in front of the church which I wished I'd been faster to capture on camera.
It wasn't long before I had my hands carefully on the cache - exactly where we had searched previously. Seems there may be a little collection of this cache due to butterfingers! No butterfingers here tho today, log was signed and replaced very carefully. Then it was off home, after a very long week.
Thanks for the cache barbbowman.

As a 2.5, I figured it wood take longer 2 find. . .but its muggle central that explains the rating. Nice almost clean log & container in gr8 sjape too

Sadly I believe this has gone missing. PAF and the location was confirmed and we found nothing bar the fixing. Had a scratch around but nada!

14-May-17
We thought we would have a quick look for this one on our drive past. It seemed there was a car coming out of the shops every 10 seconds. Every now and then there was a chance for a brief look before we pretend we are studying the church (from a rather obtuse angle).

The cache retrieval, log signing and return was split over about 10 minutes as each opportunity arose. In the end we were pleased with ourselves when I spotted my favourite colour. tftc

13-May-17
My wife's favourite curry place is just around the corner from this one, so I have popped over here a couple of times to have a look for this. My excuse is that it has always been dark... Today a car went past right as I was looking at the right place and I noticed something out of place. Log book is full, but I found a spot to squeeze in my name! TFTC.
