Logs
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. We expected to be hunkered down all day today with the forecast rainstorm but by midmorning it was still clear so we headed out for a few hours. Well the rain stayed away and we didn't get home until it was dark! TFTC Rock-hopper
Hey on my way to search for the fAA.
And thought I would clean this one up ..first for the month 49 to go ..

Tftc!!! No planes Kids disappointed but found quickly enough, and happy with the find. Signed replaced.
Found to the sounds of helicopters taking off.
Many thanks for the location and hide.

I’ve been finding so many caches with this kind of camo recently, it’s ridiculous and awesome!
Also he’s, seeing the shape of a plane on the map as I navigated toward GZ was certainly unexpected!

Took 13 year old Geoson out for an afternoon of caching. Lots of fun since we moved to this area last year, so have a whole new game board to explore. We enjoyed the container, the spiders around not so much. Tftc
Final and 10th for the day & 231st find for Tootz80!
Pity the aircraft have gone; a local mentioned that one was taken out by the fires a few years back and Navy rescued/took the other. Perhaps I’ll find it at the Aviation Museum?

Nice day for geocaching with skyejam and found it easily. Thanks for leading us here
MummyMcNeill found this one for McNeillFamBam today. Wish we could have seen the old planes but were happy to see so much vegetation growing back.
Fun little find.
Fun little find.
Grew up on this road so I used to see the planes everyday but then the fires took them away sadly
Found safe and well. There is a new fence constructed preventing you from accessing the trackers, you do NOT need to cross the fence to find the cache.
Couldn't locate the trackers here, especially with a brand new fence in situ. TFTC!
Cache replaced. One of the trackers has been taken to HARS, still wreckage of one here.

When Tankengine asked me did I want to find a FTF, I didn't expect it to be a couple of hours drive away. But hey, I love a good drive in the country and with new caches to find that aren't close to home is also a bonus. Plus what else was I going to do today - Housework? NOT!
It was a great day out, with a great friend, some great caches found and lovely scenery as well. The day was cool at first, but heated up pretty quickly. But that didn't hinder our fun.
This Cache: Couldn’t find. Searched GZ. Without reception I couldn't see if there was something in past logs or anything that may have led to expand my search. Thanks anyway.

Great to see the area coming back after the fires. New bushes made it a little harder to find. Tftc
Yesterday Loci612 and I (Darksidedan) left Canberra at 5am and headed out to Goulburn to pick up Fitzy_1965. Not long after we were at the first cache of the day. An FTF north of Moss Vale then onto Nowra to find a swag of 40 plus caches for the day. The days highlights included seeing two Sea Eagles, millions of birds, a Wombat and A Dolphin. In Total I drove 660kms and we cached for a total of 16 hours including driving time.
This cache was one of the caches that we found. The cache was signed DSD for Darksidedan. Thanks for the cache and the adventure. We will be back this way to clean up any caches we missed this time.
A Very Big Congrats to Loci612 who got his 10,000th cache find and managed to do his 6th D/T Loop on the same cache. I was glad to be there for such a milestone.

**This Cache:**
I was reading the description whilst of this cache whilst on a way to another cache and said, WAIT turn left here please! Didn't have this cache on the list but absolutely love abandoned places etc. and a dumped aircraft sounded absolutely amazing!
We pulled up and there it was, easily visible from the road too, how cool! Although second plane propped up by rocks in Pacmania's photo only earlier this year is gone At least some remains!
What a top spot and an interesting story behind why it is here, Fitzy provided us with more context due to his past experience's! Many thanks for highlighting this cool spot and replacing after the devastating bushfires
---
**Today:**
Myself, DSD and Fitzy_1965 planned a long day trip down to Nowra, and Currarong to pick up some caches! I was nearing my 10,000th find, and 6th D/T loop so had a cache lined up for the milestone! We left Canberra at 5am, picked up Fitzy from Goulburn, grabbed an unexpected first to find in the Southern Highlands, and then headed down to the coast!
The day lasted 16 hours before we finally returned home after 9pm. A very successful day, I don't believe we had a single DNF! My milestone cache did take 1 hour to find though, phew!
Thanks to all the CO's and DSD + Fizty for the company

Called in again today after cache has been replaced. The larger plane has been removed, leaving only the smaller wreck. Cache found OK.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Cache has been replaced, post bushfires. Enjoy the freedom from the Corona Lockdown!
Cache has been replaced, but will stay Disabled during the COVID-19 isolation period.
Sadly, this area was heavily fire impacted. I'll get out there asap with a new cache.
Came to have a look - very interesting. Everything else burnt to a crisp. Larger tree at GZ has been chopped down, and smaller ones burnt.
Muggle hubby happiness was guaranteed with the location of this cache and a pair of anti submarine aircraft for him to photograph, while I went about the business of finding the cache, signing the log and returning. TFTC Rock-hopper
Dont go past the fence to the planes. It is private property and the geo cache is not there nice view
Great hide, took me about 5 mins. Not located where I thought it was going to be.
Wow, some incredible history right here. TFTC Rock-Hopper. Great views as well.
Find # 4079
Found with sesblocker and Aries44duo. Property owner must be a fan of Grumman Trackers.
Great coordinates made for an easy find. We are staying at Berry and decided to come into Nowra and collect a few smilies.

Had some time waiting for kids to finish school yesterday so I thought I’d pop out for drive. Of all the 30yrs living in the beautiful Shoalhaven I’ve always heard of this resting place but never visited. TFTC Rock-Hopper.
Out for the day to chase up find number 2000 and thought I'd pick up most of what I needed in the Culburra Beach and Nowra areas. This was lucky thirteen for the day, and certainly unexpected finds at GZ. Thanks for bringing us here.
Found -- 4:30:00 PM -- Thanks for the hunt and Thanks for bringing us here to this location Rock-hopper.
**Cache Condition:** Good.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
**Trackables:** some visited.
**The Cache**
This cache was quite a surprise and certainly not what I expected based on its name. Nice quick find. Cache in good shape although I think this cache needed a new log book. Signed log and returned cache to its hide'y hole.
**The Day**
OCW *Little Kitten* and *DustyJapserJet*. What a fun day we have had. Such a gorgeous day down in the Shoalhaven today, lovely and warm too. On an errand in Nowra today so the logical thing was to collect some caches too. Nothing overly noteworthy occurred on our adventures. Stopped by the river for a spot'o'lunch.

This is the sort of scene you expect to see in the Northern Territory. TFTC Rock-hopper.
