I'm out today with Vistra today around Whangaparoa.. We aim to get around 50 caches today. Please excuse the generic log.
A quick find, needs a replacement log, sorry we did not have on with us.
Find #1007. Thank you very much for the cache. 28/09/2014 11:39

Just wondering how you can transfer one of your geocaches to anothers account? Would their name appear like they made it? Just wondering cos I wanted to give one of mine to a friends account:)
Awesome first find! Cool view of Stanmore Bay too.
Left a little white velcro circle with a smiley face on it

found it. left Travel Bug. Cache needs to be bigger to hold TBs and other treasures.
Beautiful spot. We approached this from the beach. Should have listened to tip about mosquitoes. About 10 bites in 1min. Tftc
The following cache was attempted as part of KiwiFruitsNZ trip back to Auckland - involving attempting Riser5's GB1 series - after a well deserved long weekend away. A road trip that we managed to stretch to 9 hours instead of the regulation 3 hours - due to caching (planned) and holiday traffic (not planned!)
Final cache for the day and a relatively easy find after a short walk. What a beautiful view - we will be back with a book, swimming gear and a picnic - for sure!!!
Thank you to all the cacher hiders that made our trip to Waipu and back so eventful. We truly do appreciate teh effort that has gone into hiding all the caches (even the ones that eluded us!). It has been a great weekend - and a great final day of 45 caches that just seemed to tally up without us paying too much attention (for once!)

A nice and easy night time find. All my previous finds for the day had been first day finds for a license challenge and so I found this one as my cache for the day for the same challenge. Thanks!
Day 2 of my trip to Auckland for the Mega event. Today I decided to head north to the Whangaparoa Peninsula to take in some of the views and then to explore the Dairy Flat area to look for some smiles before finishing off the day with some Fish and Chips. The day did not quite start out as intended, so I ended up going straight up the motorway.
After Silverdale, I headed farther along the peninsula to look for some views. I headed along the beach to find this one and after going up a few paths finally found the right one. Nice views. I was then able to walk up the path and down the road back to the car.

Wow what a stunning view from the top! Luckily there were no mosquitoes here and a pretty quick find, tftc
LOVE the view from the top!! Mosquitos were definitely hungry, thanks for the warning. This cache needs a tiny bag of silica added to it to stop the moisture thats creeping in!
Was up this way doing a first aid course this weekend, it conveniently finished early so had a chance to grab some geocaches in the sun. What a gorgeous view on a sunny day. Totally over thought it and after a good search up the hill came across the cache and wondered why I hadn't found it sooner. Cache had a baby sock in it, assuming it was in there to soak up all of the moisture? Either that or some interesting swag Thanks for sharing this awesome little spot with us.
Super easy find, took me less than 5 seconds. good way to start off my day TFTC!
Seemed further up the hill than my GPS indicated, nice cache except the mosquitoes
Another quiet little spot that without the cache we would not have found

Another nice quick find while up in auckland with cats&Dragons. We were trying to collect as many caches as possible to clear out this area. TFTC
Perfect Coords. We missed it a couple of times before coming at it from a different angle haha.
Found by Lizzie10 and Roger of the Collie Crew over from the UK visiting ChrisnDust.Lovely spot, great views, nice easy find.TFTC.
all seems fine to me
have added a small notebook as a new log, and a couple of shaped erasers as per request for swap items. TFTC.
I would be happy to take over this cache if you have no offers from anyone closer (I live about an hours drive away).

Found this one on a rather dismal Labour day Monday, fairly easy with the hint. tftc.
In NZ for my mother in law's 90th birthday on the weekend. We had gone to Snow Planet with the wife's eldest son and family. We decided to introduce Mom to Geocaching on the way home.
Fortunately I had loaded a few caches into thee gismo, this was the eleventh to call in on, heading home to Whangaparaoa Penisula.
A very pleasent walk down the path, an easy find with the clue.
Left a path tag for the CO or the next finder, the Co should have enough by now, if they were quick enough.
Called it a day after this one

A lovely little track. All the mozzies had been blown away by today's wild weather! TFTC #139
Looks like this cache needs some TLC... if someone would like to ADOPT it, please drop us a line. We no longer live in the area so ALL our caches are up for adoption! Any takers?

Found cache easily ( my 4 yr old son was thrilled as it was his first time spotting it first!). Cache log needs refil and the container was very wet inside. Recommend a plastic bag, new log book and small swaps. Chn were disappointed there was nothing to swap in it. Thanks for an easy to find cache though. TNLN, TFTC - NZfamilyadventure
Nice find by the Kiwiz@gz. I was not paying attention to the GPSr
Nice area for a walk though

first of the day, great introduction for the kids, we had a bit of a training session while stood right next to the cache.
after a little talk and a pointer they had it and we were off on a day of hunting.

Nice quick find on a flying visit back to NZ. Just needed a cache to ensure the miles keep ticking over. Too cold for any mozzies to be out and about this morning thankfully. TFTC
Hmmm even it is almost winter, the mosquites are hearthless Unfortunately I'm not like the previous cacher..they do have an effect on me. And now have those big red itchie thingies on my legs.
Second attempt. Very effective camo. Hunted all over but just couldn't see it. Was thinking 'maybe its not here' but decided on one more look. I must have looked at it more than once but was just not seeing it. Mozzies galore at GZ. Sat down writing up log and noticed at least a dozen of the little critters having a feed on arms ang legs. Fortunately they have no effect on me. TFTC.
Another spot on the peninsula with awesome views and a nicely camouflaged and hidden cache to find. Out with 10cc for the afternoon and we stopped by here for a quick find. Snapped a couple of photos at the top of the walkway too. TFTC!!!
Batteries died at this point, so used hint and geocaching experience to find the hide. t4tc

Took the track from the beach up to GZ and started looking, hang on a minute, this place looks familiar..... check the logs, yup, 30 Jan 2011...... there is only 1 DNF on this cache...... and it's ours!!
Pride has been reestablished with a quick find by Mrs Geckoh, at night with a torch between us!

out caching with rhodzrunners and whilst the kids enjoyed the beach the dads took to the stairs, steeper than antiscipated! easy find with the clue, once we got our breath back. TFTC.
Couldn't resist spending some family time during the gorgeous beautiful weather. What a lovely day!! T4TC
{ At 11:30 NZST, a nice sunny morning ( will it last?) Easy find once I sorted L from R, depends on a three way approach; clever ?? TFTC ]
Found the steps up the hill were much steeper than they looked. Still a good bit of exercise all the same. Found the clue to be more than helpful and it wasn't too long before the cache had been found and we had the much easier task of going down the steps to look forward to.
Another lovely spot out here - TFTC

Nice stroll up the hill from the beach. Reached what looked like the spot and cache was quickly located by evilno9 while I was busy admiring the view and catching my breath! TFTC!
Another nice little area. Weren't too sure how to approach this one so ended up with a nice walk on the beach. Tftc
Cache quickly found, no mozzies today just a cross blackbird chirruping a warning! TFTC
We were on the Peninsular to find some of the new caches that had been placed in the Area. Once at GZ the cache was quickly found and log signed. No mozzies around today. TFTC
#942 Meandering around the Peninsula to catch up on new caches and revisit some of our DNF from last trip. Mozzies did attack one half of the team. Quick find, nice view. SL. TFTC.
Found with Biggles while caching in the area. Another day and another view though this one was at least enjoyed in daylight. TFTC
Found on day 2 of a 3 day Auckland cache raid with Kiwi Explorer. A more relaxing day all round in which we ONLY found 68 caches. We certainly enjoyed a few of yours in this area. Nice camo / container jobs. TFTC, Biggles.
Pleasant walk to Joyden's View. Found the cache before the mozzies found us! Thanks for showing us this track to the beach.
