I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
The cache hasn't been found for almost 3 years and the past 5 people can not find it. If the CO can't maintain this cache then it should be archived so others can hide in this area.
Hi barkingmadnz
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Regards
The Coddiwompler

This needs archiving. Cache hasn't been found in 2 years and it is still not there today. Also don't think that caches are allowed to be buried according to the hiding guidelines on gc.com
Thought this was going to be easy but after searching around for a while I had to move of. Maybe another time for me.
Part of the SEAC fun on Anzac day. Had a great walk with good friends in the park. TFTC!
A plan was hatched for a few of the SEAC team, as well as some newbies, to spend Anzac day enjoying a walk around the Birkenhead domain and Eskdale Reserve collecting a few caches. After the dawn service and a hearty breakfast we met Keylev, Cragger, Laval, Hemaludy, UncleSam etc. at the Domain and started our adventure. As per usual we had lots of laughs, a few scrapes and bruises, a delicious picnic lunch, found many great caches and had a flat tyre! but a lot of fun was had! Thanks to the CO's for their hides and thanks for bringing us southerners to the north shore to enjoy this reserve.
After our much needed lunch we once again entered the fray to finish off this reserve! TFTC!

A group of us decided to head over this way after morning Anzac services for a wander around. We had lots of fun, tears, falls, bruises, laughs...the list goes on...it was a great day.
Continued our little walk for a nice quick find here.
Thanks for the cache.
Signed as Team SEAC (South East Auckland Crew/Cachers) to save log space.

Out with my friends today, taking a walk through the park.
Had a great day exploring and getting some sunshine and fresh air.
All logs signed as Team SEAC.
Sorry for the generic "copy & paste" logs.
Thank you to the CO for placing these caches and supporting my addiction.

We were in the area today in quite a big group from South and East Auckland so we signed ourselves as SEAC or TEAM SEAC to save space on the log. Caching today with us were darthcacher1, purply, keylev, NZIceman, cragger, laval, NZTravellers, UncleSamNZ and a family of newbies. A nice quick find here
A quick afternoon grab at lunch. Container quickly located once the correct entry point was located. Artwork in the lid is missing. TFTC
It seems something has been going on near GZ as the area is surrounded by tape and a car door is propped up part way down the track.
Fortunately the cache is safe and sound and was quickly located as we found it sitting out in the open. We have covered it in natural camo as suggested by the hint to prevent it being tampered with.
We didn't know this track existed, thanks for bringing us here.

Saturday trip with the wife and children; SikoSako, Gulla04 and Vic07.
What a great family outing in the nice weather.
We found 7 of the caches in this area today, failing at two of them. (They are probably there, just a bit too hard for our patience today.)
Signed as SH++ on most of the caches.
Anyway; Thanks for the caches, choice of area and the walk.
Tftc!

Very easy find, probably because the cache wasn't hidden - it was when I left it, within the guidelines of the hint. 1845Hr on 01 Nov 2017
Quick find once we found the tree. Wasn't covered so we covered it up after. Tftc
Had a great walk through the park after missing the closest entrance which added to the find. Missing code. Tftc.
Took the long way through to this one via the pony club and over a fence. Cache quickly found at GZ. Signed log and took the easy route back to the car - TFTC!
Quickly found when I was checking out this track that I haven't been on before as the entrance is so hidden from the road. Forgot to log until April! TFTC
Went out with Onawe and Benconaze today to collect a few caches on the north shore. We signed the logs BRO to save room.
I was standing right next to the cache and didn't realise when Mr Beconaze pointed at my feet and said "whats that". DOH moment.

Yes RWIMF was standing right beside it looking all flustered when I came from the other direction and told her to look at her feet. Big smile after that. TFTC
Found after a second attempt while in the area for a few more new caches
Thanks for bringing me here - will return again!
Thanks for bringing me here - will return again!
had a bit of a look around following the instructions but all there seemed to be in the suggested location was hard packed earth with just a dusting of needles.. but then we didnt look to hard since we knew "burying" of caches was a no go.. even if dogs did it.. so with noithing poping up at that spot it was soon time to move on looking for lunch... (mind you the two large trees we looked at in the vinity both had more than one clue item to its left... so perhaps the horses had altered it around to stuff with cachers?
Needed to use the hint to narrow in on this one, as I had gone around the host without finding it as first. Didn't realize I needed to get a clue from the lid, but that's probably OK, as I don't think I'll be able to complete a series in the time that I'm here. Signed log as 'mdf'. Thanks for the cache!
Found nice and quickly with Jag50 and Aiden29. We were muggled by a couple of horses who took great interest in watching us. The number on the lid id illegible as it has rubbed off.
No digging required today to uncover the cache, while under the watchful eyes of nearby horses.
We didn't realise that we needed to look for a number in the lid at the time, but luckily we had to return to the car which was parked nearby, so we made another quick stop here but alas the label in the lid has all but gone.

Out caching in the area with Merlot58 and Aiden29. An out and back trek along the trail to this GZ. While we were watched over by the local horses we set about locating this cache. Soon nabbed by Mrs Jag50 .
Found this one quite quickly. The paper was all wet so we couldn't write on it.
Found this cache, not where the hint said, but found none the less! . It's a bit damp from the rain today, and still showing as having a trackable but that has gone and not logged as been taken. Nice walk in the rain today for cache 3!! Mama Drylie
Quick park and grab tftc picked up yhe travel bug time for this little one to go for a trip across the sea

Found eventually, nestled amongst the pine needles. Thanks for this cache, which is my 500th find!
It was half way down bank, wasn't hidden at all so we rehid as per hint. Thank you for great cache.
Today I decided to have a nice little stroll through Birkenhead Domain and of cource I looked after some caches. And I was glad to find this one quite fast. Sadly I could not work out the whole series because I'm leaving Auckland soon.
Thanks a lot for the cache.

I have taken the day off work today due to an annoying cold, this did not mean that the morning errand I had to do could be put off though. I decided, in my wisdom, that I would grab a nearby cache while I was in the area. Unfortunately that one 'Cache For Dad!' was being watched over by leaf blowing muggles. The decision to grab the cache was still in my head, so I headed off to grab this one
one. A lovely little pathway, thanks for bringing me here. The cache was quickly found and log signed, but the number in the top is illegible. Tftc #489

Searched for quite a while with new converted cacher trog566, but neither of us seemed to have any ideas for this one. Rummaged through quite a bit of the leaves in the surrounding area before heading off and calling it a day.
Completed this on the way out from the difficult one. Nice and easy thank goodness. Tftc.
Made this more challenging by doing this at night. Found the tree before we found the path! Contents a bit on the soggy side.
Phew! What an ordeal. Decided that the path I was on was leading me away from the geocache so I decided to bush bash my way. That was a mistake. Anyway after slipping over numerous times and covered in mud I finally found another path. I chose to walk away from the cache to meet my wife and then follow that path back again until we finally found the cache. I wish I'd stayed on the original path now. TFTC (I think!)
Doing this out of sequence but why not! - Only another 9 to find. Nice and easy as GPS took us right to the spot, a little rummage took us to cache. Replaced and well covered. TFTC
Didn't take long to find cache but had to wait for 2 muggles and their dogs to pass by. Signed log and replaced. TFTC
Took me quite a bit of foraging. The clue was bang on though really. I was just being a bit hopeless. Returned to its hidy hole. Cftc
Used this awesome sunny Auckland day to clean up the north shore a little bit. Oh boy.. I came back to the car and discovered that I locked my keys into it. AA was called for rescue. Didn't know how easy it is to break in to my car. TFTC
Had planned on doing this one a little later on but found ourselves on a path that took us straight to this cache. Quick find without too much digging - TFTC
Un petit sentier calme dans la verdure comme souvent dans ce pays. Mplc
Quick find made by my 7 year old brother. Signed the log and went on our way in quest of more caches. TFTC
Found this a while back but forgot to log it.
Thanks for this cache always nice to find one thats a bit different from others

Out and about for a drive around Auckland collecting an eclectic bunch of caches. Missed the trailhead and came in over the paddock. Stood in some doggy doo before making the find at GZ. Took down the vital information. Cheers for the cache placement.
FUN FIND. Secound time looking, we look harder and found the small box!
HAVE TO GO BACK TO SIGN THE LOG BOOK BECAUSE WE FORGOT A PEN!!!!

A quick find thanks to good co-ords and the hint. We were on a mission to suss out some of the local tracks around reserves near where we were staying today and this cache brought us to a lovely area, where we saw a variety of birdlife, from tui, fantail and grey warbler to eastern rosella and the noisy spur-winged plover. Thanks for the cache, from two UK cachers & birders!
