Another weekend and another road trip, this time to Echuca to attend a wedding but I have given myself plenty of time to get there so some caches could be forum a long the way.
I was targeting a few large caches on this trip and as this is a large, it was on my list.
I went for a walk along the trail and as I was approaching GZ the cache was easily spotted from a distance.
I didn't see any snakes in the grass to grab as a swap so I didn't swap anything.
**Thanks to Propeller-head for placing this cache.**

Wow, what a large cache container. Not many of these are seen but it is good to find some larger ones instead of micros!

Found with tassie expat while exploring this beautiful area, passing through and fishing the channels. Tftc. Liked the name as tassie is paranoid about wrigglies.
frmen1 and I are on the long way home. Stopped for a fish and I was surprised to find two geocaches nearby! Any cache with snake in the name, usually sees me running the opposite direction or sending frmen1 in. It's Winter and I was feeling brave. Besides, I have my anti snake good luck charm pathtag on me. Alas, I was attacked (see pic). What a great size. Now, if only the fish were biting as well. Thanks for such a great hide. Fav pt cos I was brave...

On my way to Echuca for a Geocaching Melbourne event. The weather had dried up, there was enough time to quickly grab a few caches before the down-pour returned! Thanks for the cache, Propeller-head.

Our FIFTIETH cache!! Definitely the biggest one we've found! Very cool. We added a few treasures! Thank you so much!
Was a wonderful cache full of goodies. I almost spotted it immediately since it was so large.
Heading to St Arnaud for the weekend and grabbing a few along the way. I hate snakes, so hubby got this one.
Thanks Propeller-head for placing the cache for us to find.

Hmm found some snakes that had been found escaped. Returned them, all secure now. TFTC
Snake wasn't there. BUT a super duper awesome sized cache certainly was. Spotted from the track I was so so happy to see an original size cache container in play. Nice work it was all dry inside and had some interesting swag.
Quick easy walk along the bike path and the cache was in my hand. I wish I had taken something to put in this extra large cache. SL TFTC
Up this way for an appointment so I decided to grab a quick cache (or 15). Wow - massive cache! No snakes around today thankfully - a quick find and I was soon off. Lovely little swamp too and a great walking/rail trail here. Thanks for the cache
A quick find was made on our trip to Shepparton and surrounding areas on a very hot day. TFTC
The geofamily are off on another trip to Mexico. Fun, sore backsides (for some) and Dad getting the geomobile stuck and breaking his bike, TWICE were the highlights of the trip. One of the running jokes for the trip was 'If it's 2.5T it's laying on the ground, if it's 2.5D it's under that pile of rocks or in the open, if it's listed as large we are looking for an eclipse tin' which came about due to a number of early finds. The lasting memory from this trip will be the grass seeds!!!
No snakes but plenty of mossies!!
Thanks for the cache Propeller-head.

Lovely stroll over the bridge with the late afternoon sun glistening on the water and bathing the gorgeous setting in gold.
Love big containers, except when it comes to hiding them again. My effort with the camo was pretty laughable, lol.
Thanks Propeller-head, for a big old-school cache in a picturesque location.

Came down from Canberra with Mtrax and Strangetrousers (and half the other Canberra cachers it seems ) for the Anglesea mega event, and naturally did a whole lot of caches around here as well! Today, on our trip out, it was wet and rainy... But we still managed to find a fair few, and see some interesting places! There were no snakes here, but by gosh there were a ton of mozzies! Man o Man! Thanks PH.
2663 73 of 74 for days 3 & 4 of the Mega weekend with Tankengine & mtrax.
Days 3 & 4 of the mega Mega trip to the Surfcoast event at Anglesea Vic. The event dodged a bullet as the forecast was for rain periods Saturday & Sunday. Saturday was shower free, so all good there. I wanted to do the Geelong parkrun in the morning, so I dropped mtrax & TE off at the start of a nearby power trail & they were quite happy to grab those on foot. In the mean time ducked up to Geelong & ran 5Km. They managed to walk 5km in the mean time so no problems there. Then we headed back to the mega event, checked in & met up with various cachers. We decided to focus on the lab caches which was very interesting for a notice mega-attendee like me. We managed to claim all 10 during the day as well as a bunch of others. There were other cachers at most of the sites we visited, so that was good too.
Sunday can be summed up in one word: wet. We headed off home to Canberra via our overnight at Albury via Bendigo. We got quite wet a number of times accessing caches, sometimes in long grass. Overall, an entertaining day's caching.
Lots of mossies.

11626. Found during Day 3 of an epic caching weekend with specimenX and Sol de Lune.
The three of us (usually signing as 'FSS') traveled south this weekend for the Mt Disappointment Power Trail and as many others as possible. After finishing the trail yesterday, we started heading home today via the Whroo and Beechworth regions for another good day of caching. Heading back towards the Hwy we stopped at this one for a quick find - A Large ! Awesome !. Signed Log, Returned the Cache, and headed off to the next one !!
Thanks Propeller-head !!

Down from Canberra with fitzy_1965 and Sol de lune (signed as "FSS") to hit the Mt. Disappointment PT as well as a whole lot of other caches along the way! . Good weather, lots of laughs, a muddy Geo-Jeep and a massive haul of caches equals an epic weekend of caching all round!
Swung by this one as we were traveling to Beechworth. Nice easy find of the container-always great to nab a large size cache!
Thanks for the hide, Propeller-head

Muggle partner, Brodie and I had to do a mad dash to find some curtains.......since it appears that 15 year old Brodie doesn't like being home alone and he'd unkindly shredded the curtains where we are staying
So we went to Echuca but ended up in Shepparton and then, after finding almost matching fabric which i'll now have to spend tomorrow sewing up, I decided to try and complete Cybergran V's Cockney alphabet series.
We returned to our acommodation at 11pm after finding 17 caches , sadly also having 2 DNFs but thoroughly enjoying sightseeing around the area while doing so
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
I waited with baited breath to see sssnakes but sadly there was only a few small ones in the cache
A good sized container and if I had have known this morning that I was going to end up at this cache, I'd have bought a big sssnake to place in it.

After being up in the Alpine Country with sharkiefan and chooknchunk for the long weekend.
Heading home we made a few grab along the way.
chooknchunk had found this one previously and recommended it to me for a grab.
WOW a great huge cache for the side of the road. I love to find large caches so giving a fave to this one.

I can see why they call this snake swamp. Quick find of a giant cache. Tftc. Drop tb
Found by Mary & David at 1355. Rather a relevant cache, as we'd seen a tiger snake crossing the road at Point Henry yesterday. Usually, M is talking non-stop, so they would hear us coming from a long way off. Left " "Edward Kelly"- Southern Son " TB. Our thanks to Propeller-head.
Easy find we forgot to bring a snake to place in this great sized cache.

I was looking forward to this cache , even got some rubber snakes for it. Told the kids we were going to find a snake cache and the little one was a bit scared. When we got to the cache it was exposed but what a great sized cache we don't get any this big in the city. Kids loved the swaps. Covered the cache better than we found it. TFTC
Love this cache it's the largest one we've ever seen thanks for the cache the ewoks ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺
Our trip to Nagambie for camping with a few cache stopovers, of course. Cache #8, great cache for our little geo son to find. TFTC
I was nearby today picking up another cache and thought I would grab this one while I was here. I was pleasantly surprised when I found the cache. As I was hadn't planed to do this one I had no snake to swap so I just signed the log TNLN. Thanks for a great cache.
On the way to Bendigo, got the one nearby so had to check this one out too. Spotted gz from some distance and was rewarded well when I uncovered it. Sadly, no TBs. This one was awesome, thanks
We had made the journey from Beaufort (Vic) to Albury a few days ago for a family function, and today it was time to head home. This was one of the few stopovers we made to stretch our legs. What a lovely sized cache it was too.
Sorry to DocnWitchjy - who have obviously visited the cache just after us. We have just managed to get around to logging this find now (two days later). We did take the Red Octopus TB with us on our journey - and we did write this in the log in the cache, but forgot to take it out of the cache inventory. All fixed now. We didn't see the other TB there though.
Thank you Propeller-head for such a fun cache to find.

Having just encountered a live snake, in a swamp, only 2 caches back, we thought it was quite a coincidence to arrive at a cache called snake swap, which is near a swamp. I think it is only the second cache we have seen of this size. After signing the log, and having a look through the contents, we decided to retrieve the Snickers Bar trackable, and drop off the Poker Series Bulldog trackable. We also want to congratulate the co, as this is the first cache we have ever seen with an inventory of more than one, where the inventory has been accurate and up to date. Probably 90 per cent of the trackables we have seen on cache inventories have disappeared months or years earlier, but the list has not been updated. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
# 8482. Time to put plan A into play on a beautifully sunny winter's day. It is time to give the new Subaru a dose of fresh country air by journeying from Beechworth to Whroo, with caching on the agenda. Cruising gears, sunroof open (once it got above 10 degrees) and off we go. A great day!
What a ripper of a container. On seeing its size I went back to the car and grabbed a couple of TB's to pop in here. There is a lot of great swag here already. Considering the size it is nicely hidden.
Thanks Propeller-head

Did a few others in area before lunch at Rushworth.

Good fun one. Wish we had brought something large to leave as rarely get the chance to leave something and not have to squish it into the container! Thanksss.
Found with Team Crackers on the way home from QLD,
Nice to see such a large container for that reason a favorite from us!

In Nagambie for the Australian and Oceania Canoe Polo Championships with some spare time to have a look around and grab some caches. Not having much luck with snakes today - 2 last caches and 2 snakes - this one a beautiful red-bellied black snake basking in the sun between me and the cache, 5 metres away. Using an alternative route, log was quickly signed and I was out of there! Hopefully last snakes for me for the day (but somehow I doubt it). TFTC
Fortunately no wiggly sticks were seen on the way to GZ.[^]Although I didn't have any Joe Blakes to swap, I did have a "little" something to feed this pit of vipers with.

On the road with the RV tagging along. In desparate need of a rest and stretch of the legs, kept a close watch of the live cache map . A nice stretch of road with broken lines - nobody up our dill-a-ling, should be able to have a break; and, as approacheing the GZ slowed down looking and quickly stopped when safe. (GZ was nearly wellpassed by.) A short return walk gave the rest and exercise looking for!!
Why is it when nearing a roadside cache there is always one or two folks treating RV folks with contempt and really sniffing our dill-a-ling making a medium quick stop impossible!!!
Whilst stretching the legs, found a wriggly stick that we carefully recovered and added to the cache.

What an enormous cache. I've never seen one this big! It was quite easy to spot its location - the hard bit was covering it up afterwards to hide it again. I didn't see any snakes today but if you do there is a nice running track nearby if you need to run away
Today was my last day in Porepunkah. With the gear packed up on the back of the ute I was off, grabbing some caches on the way home.
As I left Murchison I decided to zip in here and grab this very large cache.
Wow, it's huge!
Anyhow, I soon grabbed the logbook out, signed it and all was well again.
No snakes, the real, wiggly ones that is.
Whew.

Well that's a decent size hide, just as well every one races past here at 100 and doesn't see it. Drove down the rail trail (at least that's what I assume it is) for the find, but then had to reverse back to the "parking". Loved the nice big container, but be careful coming out of the parking as it is very hard to see if something is coming over the bridge heading west. I actually think the spot we pulled up on the main road would have been just as easy to access the cache from, it might be different if it had been raining recently. Thanks for the large hide Propeller-head.
