If this is a haircut then the barber is Sweeny Todd! I could repair this but I'll keep the churn going. Feel free to post a new cache in this area.

No joy for me unfortunately, some evidence of more than just a haircut nearby the suspected tree, so possibility gone unfortunately
Found easily cache was out in open so rebid as well as we could. Tree has recently been given a good haircut so hard to hide. Tftc
Quick find whilst out this way collecting trademe purchases. Thanks for showing me this area.
My flatmate and I decided to do a spot of catching on our day off, well hidden in a spot I didn't even know existed
My wife decided to grab this cache while out this way. She was using her phone and the coverage was poor so she used some common sense and the good clue to locate the cache. Cache was pretty exposed so my wife deposited some leaf litter onto it to help cover it up. Apparently a nice spot, thanks for placing the cache.
What a lovely little driving stop. A nice quick find...though it seems my skin doesn't like the Rimu leaves - a rash appeared after searching through the leaves to find the cache...itch [:o] TFTC
Out teaching our grandson, new Geocacher Jabberstott, the ropes. Did an 'on the spot' tree identification via Ipad so he was excited to pinpoint GZ by the hint. Big smiles with his success. TFTC
Have been forcing myself into liking puzzle caches recently. As a result, I have bits of paper with solved puzzles everywhere. On yet another hunt to finish off the business... Picking up the odd traditional as well.
Drove this way before Christmas and the land was very dry then. What a difference today... Hard to believe we had a drought. There was quite a lot of water at the side of the road. Had to look twice to spot the rest area. Pulled into the narrow roadway and headed for the trees, before spotting the obvious. TFTC.

The second visit for this cache, unable to find first time around, but came armed with the hint this time!!
Lovely place, kids had fun foraging through the trees until we worked out the right one.
Nice easy find and it was a nice place to sit and have my lunch, Must be of the quietest rest stops i have come across.

We had a bit of trouble finding this initially, but after looking in other places we tried a bit harder and cleared away more 'fallen folliage' and then uncovered it. TFTC
My eyes might have been painted on but i gave it good shot.May pay to check next time you cycle past.
Out enjoying the mid winter sun. Last for the day, now head back and think about work tomorrow, TFTC
Tonight Kelly suggested a night cache. When we pulled up in the pitch black in torrential rain in an isolated rural lay by I came to the conclusion that she was either going to murder me in the middle of nowhere or that we were complete idiots for going out at night in the rain to find tupperware buried under trees. Happily for me we actually were there to find a cache.
TB dropped off.

Early morning find with the family. Took the TB. We all had a bit of say as to which trees were kauri and which were now. TFTC.
Arrived to find workmen pruning & clearing debris close by. Not often out this way so asked if they'd mind moving a bit so that I could 'discretely' disappear into the bush to ..well, you know.. They ever so politely obliged. Cache all good, swapped TBs & re-emerged, to find they were waiting a fair distance away until they got the 'all clear' ... Who said chivalry was dead?! TFTC!
8/2/12 @ 4.59pm - Once we realised which was the Rimu tree, found it no problem.SLTFTC
Drove past here last summer on the way to Movies-in-the-Maize aka Field of Dreams. Nice little spot for a stop and a GC.
What a great rest area, sneaky hide which we found after a few minutes scratching our heads Lol......
I missed this the first time around, and ended up crawling around under the tree. dead Rimu leaves are very sharp and my forearms are new very red and splotchy and quite sore. great hide all the same. TFTC
7458 An interesting historical spot we didn’t know about… thanks for the cache and background information.
Gorgeous day for a tiki tour as part of jillopy's birthday weekend, stopped here to cache hunt when joined by muggles with fish and chips! Abandoned search and toured the country side. Popped on the way home and found easily, and prickly! Neat spot, TFTC!
Great spot for a break and a cache hide. Quick find T4TC.

Unearthed in the first spot we checked. Very quick and easy.
+ a marble, - nothing.

Really liked this place. Cache easily found. Cyclists went past while I was signing log. Thanks very much kby3r.
What a great project for a school to undertake. It is a lovely spot to stop.
Many thanks

Thought I was going to need an excavator to dig down to the cache but finally made it. TFTC
Have often driven past this lovely spot, wondering what it was there for...thanks to stopping for the cache, I now know! Great spot! (When searching for the container, I found out the hard way that the ground cover is really prickly!) TFTC
Nice to see a local school doing this sort of thing.
A pleasant spot to stop on a hot day.

#329. Pretty easy find made by Mrs Northwood who insists that is a rimu, not a rata tree. After a quick look through some images, I'm inclined to agree. Good coordinates led to the easy find.

Came in along Rotorangi road from Te awamutu this evening to pick up this cache. Was going over the hint in my head on the way here and wasn,t quite sure what to find.
Appears I had the original hint stored in Gpsr..lol. Turns out quite easy when you approach from the correct side. Thanks for the visit to this tranquil spot of the main road [red]TFTC [/red]

A quick pick up with the owner.
another quick find on the Christmas day travelings.

2836 Can't believe we couldn't find this the first time, probably put off by the hint that even now we struggle to comprehend. Nevermind, after meeting the owner at the Christmas event we came expecting to find this cache and indeed we did, within moments of arrival. TFTC
Hmm. I revisited this cache today . I've decided that the cache placement is in a really terrible location... if anyone has any good ideas feel free to contact me. I'll have a think about this and relocate it after I get back from New Years. Damn those tree leaves are sharp!
Maybe, it's gonna take a bit of maintenance because the hint object keeps being flattened.
Quick easy find, nah just joking...
I was not sure what the hint was meaning, but managed to find the cache this time with a better GPS unit. TFTC

Don't you hate it when the next guy says quick easy find?
Lucky to bump into cache owner at BFL's event cache and have a translation of the hint so hopefully next week we will claim the
Well done on fooling us this time Kyb3r.

GPS was being inaccurate and could not find anything that looked like the hint. Will try again another day.
Early trip this morning as it was still there for the taking. Signed book at 6am. Nice spot and a credit to the instigators.
