I looked for this one in the dark on a previous trip to Bathurst, and couldn't find it then. Tonight I was staying in Bathurst for the night, ready to head to Orange in the morning. My hotel was just down the road from here, so I thought I'd try searching for it in daylight this time.
Came in by the closest gate and made it to GZ after a short walk. Looked for about 10 minutes, but couldn't find anything.

Out for a weekend of caching from Goulburn to Bathurst and surrounds with The Rats and Steeba.
Despite our best efforts we were unable to find this cache.

Nice quick & easy find while stopping for a quick break to stretch the old legs ... stop revive survive - cache! Heading home to Sydney from a weekend camp in Mumbil. TFTC
I parked by the nearby highway and slipped through the fence. I found the cache and its contents spread about. There was a partly eaten bar of soap, so it appears this might have caused an animal to break into the cache. I returned all the contents and log, bar the soap ( intentional pun), but the cache is cracked and needs replacement. This needs an urgent visit from the CO. TFTC Alwyn255 & Becon4046.
Found the best gate and had a lovely walk to gz. Cache was very exposed so I used surrounding camo when I replaced it. Took TB and also took out the foodstuffs that were in there! (don't want to attract an attack by 6-legged locals )

We were driving past and heading to the mountain when I noticed this one and it was too close to not pull over, so I did for an easy find.
Found with geohubby. Dropped travel bug from england off to see more of the countryside. Tftc.
Slips are no longer required - the final puzzle will become an ordinary cache soon.
Very quick, easy find I absolutely loved the camo! I have never seen it done like that before. Tftc!
Took the shortest route to get into the reserve and soon had cache in hand. TFTC.
We left you all a Smile & a cute turtle

Day 78 of my trip to Brisbane.
Sixth day on the road, except I'm not on the road today - I've decided to have a day in Bathurst. Today, I wanted to drive around Mt Panorama, and pick upm the caches. This ended up not being possible - there arfe workers everywhere, getting the track ready for an event. Oh well, I'll drive around it, pick up a few if I can, and go see what else there is to see in and around Bathurst. I'm a bit late with the logging, I'm home now, and have five days of caching to log. Have I made 1000 caches on the trip? Today's twenty gets me to 974.
No 11 of 20 today. Thanks, Alwyn255. Nice one!! Shall I go over to the minesand get some gold? Nah, I'll stay here and get the cache instead.

Cache all good but there are no slips of paper with the necessary codes to solve Lord of the Rings puzzle.
Found early morning on the way to work at Evans Plains. A quick find and the cache is in good order. Noticed that there were some bush regen workers just over the hill in the reserve once I got back on the highway but they were out of sight from GZ. Many thanks Alwyn255
Parked at the gate toward Blayney and had a nice little walk to the cache, and saw some kangaroos! (Roo View nearby doesn't lie!) Great camo TFTC.
Can't see why it was not found - it was sitting out in the open at GZ. It even still had code sheets. It has been replaced by a slightly larger version that is fully hidden. Please replace it's camo.
Apologies that this one is still not there. Heat, rain, illness and injuries have all prevented us from replacing the cache. It will happen very soon.

I was hoping to pick up another in this series on a stopover at Bathurst on our road trip this weekend. I looked & looked, aided by bikerbuddy (a previous finder) but couldn't spot the cache.
Easy find pity about the water in cache, tried my best to dry it out in the sun for 15 min. Cache was empty apart from the log and co ord notes so topped it up with some goodies.
Found at 5:25PM on the 23rd of April by Ray and Maya as we head for Gosford. We are staying the night here and have spent the rest of the day caching and exploring the city. Had a great tour of the city. TNLNSL TFTC. The Nomads.
Nice spot. The logsheet was very wet yet the hints for the final cache were dry. Sometimes it doesn't work puting logsheets in bags

I wandered into the mines in pursuit of another ring
My stroll took me past the greyhound track.
The things you find out in the bush around Bathurst
With the cache found and clues gathered I strolled off toward another cache
As I strolled a couple of doggie owners turned up to race their hounds [:o]

Yep found this on a dark murky night in a town I certainly dont know..
And yes I had a very flat gps phone with the torch about to go flat, I also just about missed it.
Walking back out the araea I was wondering why I could hear sprinklers and found dog boxes, lots of russtling and what appears to be a track...... Is a dog about to start chasing me.

Well and truly into lets get home mode by now so was looking for a drive by. Drove straight past a couple I think and before I knew it we were heading out of town so had to stop for this one. Would have liked to get a few around the race track but time was against us. I'll have to come back.
Thanks Alwyn255

This was the fourth of the five Lord Of The Rings caches we found today. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of the well hidden cache. One more to go and then we can look at the puzzle. TFTC Alwyn255.
A nice short walk to this one to stretch the legs. There were people at the nearby greyhound training area but not close enough to notice us at the cache.
Thanks Alwyn255.
Thanks Alwyn255.
Nice quick find this morning whilst out caching with Rogpol.
Didn't realise the greyhound practise track was still in working order...and very good working order too!
Perfect weather for a stroll.

Bit of a cheat here as I was with in 30 meter of cache so hopped the fence and grabbed the cache, then read the cache description and found out there was an easier way in.

Another good find by the geokids. The long grass is making this a challenge. Picked up the travelbug Piggywan. Geokids planning his next location. A beautiful afternoon in Bathurst.
Actually found this cache in its previous spot but missed logging it. found it today in its new location. TFTC X 2 Alwyn and Becon.
After trekking through the long grass, this was a nice easy find to start the day well.
Summer might present some hazards here.

Strange. New log paper & a FTF honours place which I signed. Thought it was too good to be true. Just passing by on my way to Adelaide. But I didn't get there. Car broke down in Griffith.
