Clambered all around loquat and pohutukawa and in the ladder fern. Couldn't find it
Dnf this morning. Super nanny had the inside of a half tennis ball. Might need a look at
The first success for today, we were a bit worried that a DNF streak may have started after hunting for one of the OC puzzle caches without success.
The tennis courts are well setup but today there were no players on the courts so we were free to search for this cache without having to hide from the muggles. The cache took a bit of finding as we were looking for a sneaky hide but it is obvious once you see it - look at the hint.

Quick easy find, passed a couple of gardeners on the way up. They are doing a great job. TFTC.
Finally got around to this one after a few years, found it by feel rather that sight!!. Wheelgirlnz car didn't like the judder bars on the way in, the dog and I had to walk out as she was worried about leaving the underside of her car on the road LOL, TFTC.
Out on the bike again to visit another place I have never been before. Who knew there were tennis courts on the side of the hill above the harbour..??
Thought I had a good idea what I was looking for, but it turned out to be a lot different and smaller than expected.. Luckily, the muggles playing on the courts probably weren't even aware I was there.

Found the cache where we expected but not what we expected. Never mind a find is a smilie ! TFTC.
Stayed overnight along the waterfront so had to get a couple of caches in the morning. Had a bit of a hunt before finding cache secured to a twig that won't last long. All quiet here today. Thanks for the cache Riser5.
Found it in the bushes and back blocks of Onerahi....not sure what the tree is or if it's even fit to be called a tree buts it's there tftc
Had a very long look in the rain..searched the tiny pittosporums....and even loquat tree....too wet to hunt on ground .
Feel a bit awkward with two guys playing tennis nearby !
Time to go and get all my wet clothes off and log all my finds !

Just about gave up looked really hard for a long time finally found it on the ground only visible by a small white piece on it otherwise wouldn't have found it thanks for the cache and the fun
I headed up North for the long weekend and after a day out on the harbour, I then drove around Onerahi/Riverside finding a few caches that I hadn't previously done, in between passing showers. Parked right beside GZ for a quick easy find here while no one was using the tennis courts. TFTC!

Loved searching for this one. Very cool hiding spot! Took 20 seconds to find !
Some how this was another cache that I had overlooked. And wasn't on my "map'. So it was not until. A fellow. Cachers. Told me about it that we went here and it was quickly retrieved, signed and re placed.
thank you. For this cache and another smiley face.

There were tennis players today, but the location of the cache was such that they took no notice of me.
Cruising around Whangarei, and its environs. A lovely fine day to be away from work!
Thanks for effort put your hides.

The judder bars on the way here are vicious. No games in play today except a lone geocacher. This took quite a hunt as the cache was on the loquot tree not a pitisporum. These courts are close to my friends house from years ago and I didn't even know it was here. TFTC
Couldn't find this one..searched all around area indicated by photo...may have been taken
Quick stop and find while in the area, thanks for another cache for us to find.
Found it safe and sound. Cool camo. Cheers!

Nothing like some spring sunshine, sea air and an afternoon stroll close to home to chase away winter ills. TFTC

I am not much of a logwriter, so see renelms, and possibly Difools, log for details.

#6226. We got here just after school ended; along with lots of muggles attending tennis lessons (and their parents). Managed to find the cache without attracting too much attention, and were pleased not to meet an oncoming vehicle on the narrow drive on our way out. A nice secluded little spot; most unexpected. TFTC.
Squeezed in a trad while doing the OC series. We managed to pick the time that tennis lessons were taking place, so there was a bit of a traffic jam in and around the courts.
This was another cache where reading the cache info helped! TFTC.

I didn't even know that these tennis courts existed until I drove down here for the cache. A very nice set up too!
Walked to GZ and quickly found what I thought was the cache but there was no log. So I widened the search area but found nothing further of interest, so back to the start for another look! This time I got "physical" with the item and out popped a log. Argh! But so clever! Signed the log and returned it without stuffing it to the darkest depths. TFTC!

Initially discounted the cache as rubbish, but then realised what was going on. Great hide worth a favourite point. TFTC !
A spot of early morning final caching before the start of the work day, and a long drive back home. This had me scratching my head as I searched for it but the light of the torch finally revealled what I had previously overlooked

We were in the area and pretty sure how it was hidden but no luck for us today. Hasn't been found since November and although it may well be there, it may pay to check as I'm sure this area will get alot more visitors over the next couple of months.
It seems that the rail has been moved and the cache in now missing. Will re think where the cache will go
Found eventually after a bit of searching. WiiPhe had me looking in the wrong place for a bit, but got there in the end. Magnet has come away from the tin. Would have fixed myself but traveling light today. Tftc
Quickish find after a couple of locals had left after finishing their game. TFTC!
11.10am. Missed out on this first visit. Brought Geoff along for an extra set of eyes. He spotted what the hint referred to and had the cache in seconds. Worth a favourite point.
Thank you. David and Geoff.
Thank you. David and Geoff.
Went to this one with local lad, jachlere. Rain, rain and more rain! Clue a bit too cryptic for us. But now I am back home 200km away I think I have it worked out. Will try again, next time I'm up that way.
Had to watch for muggles playing tennis.. found with MozzyMoses and DeadRockFlower. TFTC
Decided to take a detour from our original schedule to find some stray caches that have appeared in the area since our last visit. Good hide which we found with the help of a great clue TFTC.
Sorry, nice places to live + tennis courts but could not make out the cache locations. The hint was too cryptic for me too....
