### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###

----------

Hi there Cache Owner,

It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue with the placement. The cache is being temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.

Whilst it is recognized that as a result of the current COVID19 situation, it might not be possible for a Cache Owner to just pop out and check on a cache, we still need to know that you are on top of the issue.

CO's of caches disabled during the current COVID19 crisis will be given some extra time to react. Caches where the cache owner does not currently feel it is safe to maintain will not be archived in the normal time frame, as long as there is some indication from the CO. **Don't let a lack of communication kill this cache.**

#What should you do:-#
- Should the regional Health and Victorian Government requirements allow it **AND** you feel it safe for you to maintain this cache now, please feel free to do so. Don't forget to log an 'Owner Maintenance ' log and also Enable the cache once the issue is fixed.

- **Alternatively,** what you need to do is place a Write Note log indicating a date when you you expect you might be able to attend to the issue/s.

#Please Note#
When the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment from the CO as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.

**JUST A HINT:-** In case you are not aware, there is a new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own. Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD)

We loved driving through these stone fences. We'd only just commented on how they seemed to be built slightly differently when we read on the sign that there were differences due to different stone masons. Difficult to retrieve due to an electric fence but we got it in the end. TFTC

25-Jun-19
Found it

25-Jun-19
Found it easily Smile! Thank you

02-May-19
These stone walls are certainly very impressive because of the craftsmanship and the extent of the walls. As we pulled up, given the size of the cache, there was only one spot for the hide and that led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks vp4 for the cache.

01-Mar-19
Muggle husband's great-grandfather was a dry stone waller and they lived at Pomborneit, so many of the rock walls around here would have been built by him. That they are still standing is testament to his skill. Cache found after a bit of a hunt around.

03-Feb-19
Dropped a trackable, and grabbed a new one

02-Feb-19
Was as n easy find, but the wall is very impressive!!

After celebrating a friends birthday yesterday in great style at Coragulac House, the party then moved to a paddock complete with huge bonfire and camping facilities at nearby Alvie. What better way to spend today but caching with a circuit of Lake Corangamite The stone walls in this area are amazing and it is great to see so many here in such good condition but sad that some have been let fall into disrepair TFTC vp4

Find # 5120

Found while heading down to the Glow worms event.
I had it all this day, torrential rain, galeforce winds, sunshine, and on one flat plain it was totally calm.
I only needed to change my shoes once, due to wet long grass. And thankfully I managed to keep relatively dry while grabbing caches.

It was a long day as I left home just after 10am and got back just around 11pm.

Quick pick up while a couple of tractors were passing by.

TFTC vp4

Great history, not quite on the tourist trail, love it, fave point. Ol wasn't game to touch the fence after being zapped by one yesterday on the C-T RT, so Wal ventured over . TFTC

With some driving needing to be done to gather as many locations as possible for Victoria's Largest Sudoku WhereIGo Fleabag- and I headed out with a large size cache per zone (for a different challenge we working on) as a waypoint guide to a lot of Western Victoria.
Today the weather was great for the first time in over a week so we now have probably over a third of the Sudoku done so very pleased about that.

Nice easy find on arrival here but watch out for the electric fence it is live.
Thanks vp4 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

10-Sep-17
Today Spiffy- and I toured South West Victoria looking for clues for a whereigo. This cache was a short break for us after admiring the rock walls and effort it seemed appropriate to find the cache. Thanks to vp4 for placing this cache.

Caching solo today as I headed home - the long way - from a weeks holiday in Port Fairy (hubby had the kids and caravan)! A nice quick find here in an impressive location. Many thanks!

I had been meaning to return to this general area to grab these newly published hides. I was meeting some fellow cachers at Lake Corangamite at 1:00 this afternoon, so I decided to get an early start. With the combination of a sunny morning and some fantastic country side, this was a very rewarding road trip. Thanks to all of the CO's for their hides. If anyone is worried about the wire around the platform, relax, it is NOT electric. Thanks for showing me this area, very impressive construction. TFTC vp4 Smile

05-Jan-17
Tricky hide, wasn't sure the fence was electric or not lol. Thanks for the spot and history Smile

31-Dec-16
Found on our way to Apollo Bay for New Years Eve. A nice quick find here after reading the information about the walls. Thanks for bringing us here vp4. Cache is in reasonable condition.

21-Nov-16
This was a bit tricky with electric wire the whole way around. Luckily we could chuck the littlest over who coincidentally was the one who spotted the cache in the first place!

Another find by the McPhail family.

Down this way today hoping for a FTF on a H3 cache at Beech Forest and with that one in the bag it was time to grab a few on our back to Colac and then Camperdown.
Soon had this guy in hand, signed the log and returned as found and then checked out these great walls of stone that have stood the test of time.
Thanks vp4 for placing this cache.

16-Jun-16
After an epic day along the coast with Semi Geo Husband and Little Ruverbug yesterday, today I left them watching a digger do it's work and headed out to grab a couple of caches near by where we stay down this way.

After finding Mt Porndon I headed north to pick up a few more.

Not a muggle in sight. Except an old bloke driving a tractor a km down the road and a ginger tabby down the road as well.

However a local Milk tank driver later in the day told me how he occasionally sees people here "looking for something".

TFTC Smile

Spent the Day with Jacko83 and Mia2K fnding caches in the area. As we approched the cache could be seen from the car. Retrieved the cache while trying not to come in contact with the electri cattle fence. the quality and length of the rock wall is truly amazing. Signed and replaced as found.

Thanks for the cache vp4

A big day out down Skipton - Lismore -Cressy way doing a heap of awesome caches with my sister Mia, Ausfox! and friends for a Fab event at the Skipton Caves. This side of Victoria is very different to the East I have seen. Sad to see so many dry lakes out here.

Cannot believe how long this wall goes for! Amazing! Thanks for the cache and highlighting it.

Cheers

Why follow the highway when there are more exciting places to visit.... A slight detour on our way from Geelong to Mount Gambier but well worth it.
Thanks

23-Aug-15
Having come to Geelong with Mogni to do caching it was sadly time to head back to SA. Still we have all day and there are plenty of caches to collect on the way. Cool
We had our biggest laugh for the day here. Smile As we pulled up a rabbit was under the platform. Oblivious to Nasi Gorengs wonderful constructions it bolted straight through a small hole in the great wall. Still chuckling I lent down in the SW corner to find.... nada. Twisted Ah there it was in the other SW corner in the middle of the platform. [^] Thanks vp4 for the cache and chuckles. Big Grin

First find on a 10 day caching & camping trip to northern Victoria, took a detour from our normal route to see something different.
The wall must be working because we didn't see a single rabbit.
Thanks for the hide

Heading west towards Warrnambool, in glorious sunshine, with the focus of morning radio presenters being on Remembrance Day, we paused a number of times for reflection and a few caches. These walls remind us of the ones we saw in Scotland. We collected the trackable "(Best and) FRIENDS". (TB5ZTBK)

Thanks to vp4 for the hunt.

These walls never fail to fascinate me. I often wonder how many man hours have gone into building the dry stone walls around this part of Victoria. And so many are still standing solid. Cache was a straightforward find. TFTC vp4.

What a lovely location. Reminds cat of the dry stone walls in North Wales. Found by Annie and cat

27-Sep-14
Thanks for the cache, cool cache. Did a belly crawl to grab it. Caching with McLookers and Geograndma this afternoon. Awesome fence.

27-Sep-14
After half time in the grand final today, we decided to take a drive to find this cache. Stupidly, we took the Hawks Nest Road and realised our mistake when we had gone too far! Continuing to venture to GZ, we loved the information and the viewing platform. These type of fences are prolific in this neck of the woods. Their great condition are a tribute to the clever craftsmen who made them. The cache was quickly located, the cache signed and we took the trackable. Caching today with Tomstache and Geograndma. Now, back to see the finish of the Grand Final. Thanks vp4.

On a quick driv past, got this one today!! TFTC

Just loved this area with all the beautifully built stone fences. Must have been hard yakka and probably not much pay. They certainly built them to last. Must come back to this area. Cache found ok thanks.

16-Jan-14
Made a little detour on our way to Geelong today to grab a couple of out of the way caches. Was a bit wary about this one today as it was well over 40 degrees and I did not want to disturb a hot and bothered snake trying to keep cool. I didn't see any and quickly signed the log and got out of the heat. Thanks for highlighting this magnificent old walls, they certainly don't make them that anymore. Thanks for the cache vp4.

12-Jan-14
Bogonghazy and I had to divert off our route to grab a couple out here "in the sticks". Glad we did, we got some great views on our diversion. Thanks to vp4 for highlighting these walls, which never cease to amaze me. The patience and precision required to put them together is mind boggling. Thanks again to vp4 for the cache, and for highlighting this place and bringing us here today.

12-Jan-14
Another fine example of these marvellous walls.
Thanks vp4 for bringing SUlly1 and I here today

Thankyou.

28-May-13

28-May-13
Didn't know there was reason to the way the stone fences were built. Learn something on everygeocache

26-May-13
had to wait for muggers & cows to move on before finding this one.

18-May-13
It is amazing how these walls are put together and how they have survived the test of time and they look as though they were built yesterday thanks VP4 for bringing us here TFTC

12-May-13
Another great example of these walls. I love the interesting sign about rabbits using some ledge to get through the wall one way but not the other. I always think about the back breaking work this must have been back in the day. Thanks for the cache.
