It's a good spot for a cache but the hide needs to be a completely different location and we don't have time or inclination to give it the attention it deserves, so the spot is being freed up for someone who can.
Easy to solve the multi searched everywhere but no luck for me so D N F

With so much time since the last find and two DNFs, it's likely missing. Offline till further notice.
Found at 9.45am. Lovely old trestle bridge in a quiet valley. A couple of campers nearby and a few runners to contend with. K made a quick dash for the cache without being seen. Nice one. TNLN Thanks K&M
To Bunjil
I have replaced the log in this cache, which is what the needs maintenance log is concerning.
As for the electric fence, the cache can be accessed from the other side easily.

Thank you very much to sharkiefan for replacing the log - we were planning on doing this around Christmas but it looks as if that would've been too far away...
NM flag cleared, hopefully it's OK to bring the cache back online now (we'll find out soon enough if Bunjil doesn't think so, I guess).

Replaced log in plastic bag. Left old one there.
Found with FUF009.
A 3 day weekend for both of us meant testing the new swags and caching in areas we both had loads of choice from.
Meeting at Panmure and sussing out where to camp was the 1st priority (Lake Ellingamite), then merged into 1 car and hit the trails.
We changed camping location to near Colac for the 2nd night, less bugs more wind.
We had a wonderful weekend with many interesting finds and locations. Thanks to all the cache owners.

Find # 7311
Found with sharkiefan on a camping and caching long weekend in the South west area of Victoria.
We visited from Mortlake to Port Fairy to Colac to Timboon and everything in between, and finishing up in Ballarat on Monday evening for the Giff event.
Some time ago, back when I was an apprentice, I worked on installing a couple of 26.5m tall silos, up in the talc mine. Sadly with the tree growth the silos cant be seen from here.
But the cache was finally found, after a bit of careful moments around the electric fence.

I've noticed this cache is carrying a maintenance log which really does need to be addressed by the cache owner.
The guidelines indicated that periodic visits to check on the cache, as well as prompt attention to any logs that indicate there is a problem, are part of the [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) within 14 days,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Check on the cache, repair and/or replace the cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (within 14 days). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. For ongoing issues (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to speed.
- If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) it on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

What a beautiful day it was for a walk and to tackle this cache. Soon after tackling the terrain I had cache in hand. There were millions of little ants swarming the area. I feel the description of the area may need updating as the electric fence is definitely a hazard. TFTC

After finding the required information and calculating the new GZ we crossed the bridge where we were confronted by an electric fence but managed to duck under it, retreive the cache sign the log and duck under the fence again

We got recommended a visit to this bridge by the lady in the ice creamery, and so glad there is a cache here. Great bridge, lovely walk, fave point. TFTC
We were out and about on the bikes when I realised I was cycling past the start of a multi. I stopped for a look at the information and soon had some plausible coordinates. We set off and as we approached GZ I noticed the cache on the floor. The log is damp but could be written on. I had a look around to see where the cache should be and placed it back where I thought it should be. Hopefully it doesn't end up back on the floor. TFTC
We love an easy multi that takes you to an interesting place. The place for gathering info was easy to get to and we were rewarded with a few lovely blue wren playing around us. Then the discussion as to which way we should go to approach the final. A very good decision was made by hubby, and soon we were there. We were both brave and I spotted the cache on the ground. We hope we have returned it to an appropriate place. SL TFTC
Just loved this old trestle bridge and so glad to see it available for walkers and cyclist It wasn't long before I had the numbers and soon after the cache. The river was running well so I took a photo from the bridge TFTC

This cache appears to be in need of owner attention. The log of this cache is soggy, indicating that the container is no longer weatherproof and needs to be replaced please.

What a wonderful old bridge and still in working order, a great place to pause for lunch as well as complete the multi. We met a couple of curious photographers near GZ. So glad we didn't actually show them the cache - it wouldn't entice them to play. Cache is really in need of a spring clean and a fresh log book - which is totally soaked, despite it's location.
Thanks o'cholio for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Really sorry for the late logging, cycling has taken over my life, and I'm waaaaay behind on logging found caches...
This week I was here with my cycling team for the Tour of South West NRS race. We were staying nearby in Brucknell, and I had the opportunity to take the car for a drive to find a few caches this afternoon.
What an awesome place, I love these trestle bridges! I enjoyed working out the final coordinates and made a quick find at GZ.
Thanks for the cache o'cholio!

A couple of days ago my good friends the suscoe cachers invited me to accompany them on a long trip deep into the Western District to add a few more smiley faces to our profiles. Well you cannot knock back an offer like that so very early today with the alarm set the ageing Bushfire arrived at their doorstep early for a change.
With the bits and pieces loaded into the fairly new wheels it was off West to see what we could find.
A wonderful day to be out and about not too hot but at times the breeze was a little cool.
Camperdown was the first cache for me today and is a town I have been to and through many times but after finding the cache it was off to Darlington hoping for a FTF on a new cache that was placed a few days ago. We did grab another JFTF. Very quiet around here today.
This would be another find along this rail trail for us today, and what a find it was. Very impressed with not only the way the cache notes were set out but the structure is very impressive and more so because of its age.
Thanks o'cholio for placing this cache and another F.P. for showing us this area.

Suscoe headed out today to the Western District in the terrific company of our good mate Bushfire.
It was a beaut day for caching with the temperature not breaking through the 22 degree barrier all day. In fact at times it was quite cool down this way with the southerly wind keeping things mild.
So with the Red Ant, the Squirrel and the Hedgehog in fine fettle we enjoyed a wonderful day of caching and wandering the roads of the Western Plains.
What a delightful multi.
A favourite for the terrific location, the interesting info and the appropriate hide.
Thanks to o'cholio for this cachem, a beaut one indeed.

Found at 3:38 PM GAFF2.
Is this cache called Crater to Coast or Coast to Crater? Well I suppose it is all academic as we didn't see any craters nor coasts around here
Got the information and then we started to head off with our 21' van and realised we had to be up there! So we stopped at the closest spot and then just took off into the shoulder height grass - gosh this is serious stuff around here!
I wasn't going to venture into GZ at first because there is a wire that looks like it has electricity running through it right across the access way - but in the end I thought it has to be there and lets just try it out.
Found the container and was just amazed as to how the contents were so damp! How does that happen there?
Thanks o'cholio.

Thanks for this. Beautiful spot. Nice walk along the bridge taking in our history with geo dogs in tow.
Lovely spot. It well worth a walk upstream from the bridge too, there is plenty too see up there! Beautiful area
Managed a slight detour to grab this multi this morning before heading into Timboon for a bite for lunch. We soon had the co-ord's and then it was a pleasant walk to the gz and soon had the cache in hand. Thanks o'cholio for the cache and for highlighting this old gem.

As I attended the event in Timboon, I always planned to have a look for this one, so when The_Tritonz mentioned after dinner that they were going out to a couple of caches in the area, I took the opportunity to tag along and go and find it together.
At the posted coordinates, photos were taken and the information was gathered then it was of to GZ where it wasn't long before our names were in the logbook.

After attending a local Event we couldn't pass the opportunity up , of visiting this magnificent historical trestle bridge and attempting this Multi. In the company of SteMicMitSar we set about putting our numbers together using our torches as the last of the light had faded for the day. We made the find quickly and soon had our names in the log.
Thanks o'cholio for bringing us here and sharing another great piece of history with us.

You do need to step over the electric fence (wire) but not the white Electric tape
Last time I was here the train was still running to the limestone quarry.
Great place for the family to picnic.

Couldn't find, but the grass is pretty long at the moment and I was running out of light. Will try again later
It was a 38 degree day when we rode the rail trail from Camperdown so at the bridge we noted the info and kept going to get a cool drink at the end. The next day was much cooler and we drove to Timboon and on the way back diverted to the bridge for a walk and clamber.
Great little spot! Had a picnic lunch here, then enjoyed the stroll to GZ. Got Mr matmob to retrieve as Mrs was too scared of the electric fence! Thanks
Easy find to top off a beautiful day in timboon. Enjoyed all that timboon has to offer, especially the
Not too difficult when u have team Elisharae with u beware wen the weather is wet as the bridge is slippery
I love doing multi's. Managed to work the coordinates out fairly quickly. I then made my way to GZ. I had a fair idea where it was once I got there & I soon had the cache in hand. TFTC o'cholio. Love the bridge & surrounds - a great place for a cache.
Out and about with Farmverb and we decided I needed to pick this one up. What a great spot o'cholio and a lovely walk over the bridge. We were brave and soon had the cache in hand. We really liked this spot and gave it a fav. TNLN SL TFTC
Lovely area. We were running late but austrees wanted to see the trestle. I was looking at the info board and realised that this cache required answers to questions, so decided to look at it. Got the answers okay, but then didn't have anything to find the location. A good reason to get my own GPS, not relying on the Iphone caching app of austrees.
Our first find. Very exciting. Could not believe it when we found it as we have searched for 2 others in our area and we are still searching so we were really excited about actually finding one and not feeling totally pathetic at this geocaching business. TFTH. Lovely walk and scenes.

What an amazing bridge, a great multi, a nice walk across and then a swim in a small watering hole with a waterfall for Geokid. Thank you so much for bringing us to this spot. Would love to come back another day for a picnic and a spot of fishing. Caching today with Motndarg and Tomstache.
What a lovely area, was a surprise to find this . Got the clues from display board, then walked over the well restored bridge, and found the cache . A very good hide. Our Geo friends spent time in the river enabling their bodies to cool down. Will return to this spot and try our hand at fishing sometime. Thanks for the hide.
Thanks for the multi. Liked the river nearby. A good cache for a warm day. Caching with Motndarg and McLookers.
Found on our "Making Memories" Tour of mainland Australia.

Note to self, bring Suz and our bikes to do this Camperdown to the Timboon Distillery Rail Trail! Met locals Gary and Sherrie who gave us some good information. All the clues were easily found and the trick getting the final was to ignore the bit about not going over any of the electric fences as we found ourselves between a couple of electric fences when in retrieval mode. So glad to be caching or would not have found this little gem not far off the beaten track. TFTC.
So we drove to this spot to do this multi and decided we'd stop to have lunch at this peaceful spot first. After working out where the cache was and coaching my dog over the awesome bridge the cache was quickly found. Thanks
Beautiful bridge. Have walked here from Timboon along trail. Enjoyed the history. Tftc
Puzzle and co-ords were spot on, which is something I can't always say with multi caches, so often things can change minutely which can ruin the whole experience. suffice to say I'm not a fan if this cache type. The cache location is great, particularly the view along the river from the bridge. sl tnln tftc
Found today while cycling the rail trail. I pedalled from Timboon to near Glenfyne and back. A really good ride more suited to off road bikes. The effort to open this railtrail has resulted in a really enjoyable ride that passes many old timber bridges. I read the notes for the multi but left them at home so followed my instincts and sure enough it was in the second place I looked. Thanks for bringing me here and giving me a break from the climb back to Timboon.
How pleasant to be away from everthing

PS a simple method to check if fence wires are energised that always works without getting an electric shock: in the winter get a long length (750mm) of straw or grass and hold at one end and put the other end on the fence wire nothing will be felt. Now push the your hand holding the grass closer to the wire, if the fence is energised you will feel faint pulsing (about one sec apart) through the grass. If your hand holding the grass reaches the wire and feel nothing then the wire is not energised. In summer when everything is very dry, you will get a lot closer to the wire than in winter.

Found with Fred6603 on Our Great Ocean Road trip. A quick trip to Timboon and 2 caches to find. Started OK at WP1 and a nice stroll to GZ but then spotted the electric fence like all the others have, to get to the cache. Not sure that is real safe, especially for kids. TNLNSL TFTC,

Roostaman.
Found at 1520 in the company of Roostaman on Our Great Ocean Road trip. Had to detour to Timboon to pick up a parcel from the Post Office and noticed a nearby cache by o'cholio. Did the calculations at WP1 then a nice stroll to GZ where Roostaman risked the wrath of the electric fence to retrieve the cache.

Camped at the picnic area but the cycling touring duo from Jindabyne were unable to locate using coords from clue.
Collected the info and found the cache in drizzly rain. I wish more of the old trestle bridges were restored and included in rail trails. In several places I know of the bridges are blocked off and decaying. Found the cache at 4:50pm.

Found by Mary & David at 1440. Perfect sunshine now, and we were able to peel off some layers. A family were enjoying a picnic near the car park. Plenty of water in the river too. Gathered the numbers and set off to GZ, where we found the cache more or less where we expected it to be. Our thanks to o'cholio.
after a little wandering the hint helped us out. seems as though a new fence has been put up next to the old one but navigated around it easily.
Lost iPhone power just after working out the coordinates! Remember reading older post logs and with help from my family, guessed where it would be anyway! I couldn't see it, didn't trust my instincts, but my dad did! Fence may have changed - had to step over electric fence! Great hide!!
Found this one during a visit to the inlaws. Thankfully my country-wise inlaws informed me that the small fence I was about to step over was an electric fence so I took a very high stride to get the cache. Took TB and left nothing. TFTC on a very nice trail that I really enjoy walking.
"It is not necessary to enter private property when finding the cache..." Come on, it's straight after the instructions for calculating GZ! No need to cross the fence! Last bit now added to the description.
Busy going through my GSAK database and updating caches I haven't sent a log for. Have been using GSAK to keep tabs on my finds. Thanks to the cache owners for the caches. Working my way through those caches that require emails with answers.
Found with wollaston while working in the area. Took us longer than it should have!! TFTC
Found with Lebac on a break when working in Area. Had us stumped for a while. Were about to give until we actually got the clue. TFTC

While in the area another NEW one popped up.
So off we went in the hope that we would once again be on the site first.
