GZ has massive fallen tree, probably from the cyclone weather last week. Need CO to check for location and safety. Great spot
A lovely little walk to the cache. We kept our eyes peeled for the track after reading previous logs so we didn't miss it. The cache on the other hand eluded us for quite a while. Really well hidden. Really enjoyed exploring the area. TFTC
up at the mega with my son, we decided to head out this way to find a few caches we missed last time we were in town. A nice little bush walk out here, although we missed the turnoff track and bush crashed through the last 50 mtrs or so.
took us a few minutes to work out which tree was which, but eventually got there and found the cache.
Thanks for bringing us out here. log signed.

Our experience in finding this cache was almost identical to a previous finder on the same day.So much so, that I'm going to copy a paste what we had in common [:o)] ........'A nice little bush walk out here, although we missed the turnoff track and bush crashed through the last 50 mtrs or so. Time to log our little trip to the Mega in Turangi. Enroute we detoured via Feilding for the Yumfest dinner, a night cache and a bit of puzzle gathering. Of course there were traditionals, a few multis, some earthcaches and lots of coffee stops to endure. Most found with bkj97, Edvern or the crew we stayed with in Turangi. Now of course the task of logging them all becomes a necessity. My apologies for the "cut and paste" logs. I will add favourites where I think it was particularly memorable. Thanks to all the cache owners for giving us things to do on our journey. It seemed strange to drive back to the Kapiti Coast post Mega without stopping for any caches. Happy caching. TFTCSL
Found. Logging as a placeholder to keep finds in sequence. Full log to follow. Thanks for the cache.
#2464 Great hide and very useful hint.
Found during Mega 2016 in Turangi. A great road trip and weekend of fun for all.
All good at GZ - log dry etc.
Thanks for another smilie

Found with the rest of the crew while exploring Taupo and Acacia Bay for the day while attending the Mega in Turangi. TFTCSL
A beautiful walk in the pouring rain to see a beautiful view. Cache was found fast as not to hang about in the rain.
After staying the night in Kinloch evilno9 and I decided to stay around the Taupo area for some more geocaching before driving to Rotorua. It turned out to be a great day at the lake. Quickly walked to GZ to find the geocache. TFTC
After staying the night in Kinloch and losing half of our group, alpenmilch80 and I decided to stay around the Taupo area for some more geocaching before heading up to Rotorua for some more adventure.
Did the maths here and followed the hint and had the cache in hand after a short search. Cool spot. TFTC

Found with Redants on our April Holidays Road Trip to Ragland and back. Today was spent around Taupo. Nice location for a cache, well hidden.

Banian and I found this cache on our autumn northern roadtrip- where we did a circuit of the north island from Wellington right up to Raglan, then across to Napier through Taupo, before heading home, finding masses of caches and discovering a plethora of unique and interesting locations.
First of many caches which looked close but in reality were far- great view at GZ! TFTC

A great weather day after a few gray ones was a motivation to go on a short geocaching walk with my-call and Jesse the dog. We've been here before (going to the flat rocks) but didn't have time for these two caches. Nice sunby day and nice beer to drink infront of the lake.
This one was found straight away by my-call with no hesitation.
TFTC from far away israel.

we had the best walk to GZ - Mr P followed the hint and made the find - clever man. FP for the walk, location and hide.
Another sunny day in Taupo despite the dire weather all around. Great day for Geocaching, whilst we are here on holiday from Tauranga. Made this one much harder than it needed to be by not looking hard enough where our geo-nose led. Cache is all good. TFTC
Great walk, great hint, great hide! Out on a walk with Dad during a break in the rain and really enjoyed finding this. Took TB, tftc and for bringing us here!
Great clue had us on this one without too much trouble. Sometimes they are not as helpful as they seem. Left one of the trackables we have been carrying for a while.
Another nice find on a bit of a trip up north.
First day away and mostly found caches around Taupo and Rotorua.
No problems here, good walk - soon had it spotted.

Out and about with fanfan-77 in Taupo and decided to do this lovely walk. Parked close-ish by and found this one no problem, good hint. TFTC
This is one of my favourite walks around Taupo. Decided to show sveppi around. Found the cache before, but gave her a chance to log the smiley. Cache is still looking almost like new.

Sweet find! Added a foreign coin in exchange for a pen ( still 2pens and pencil remain) TFTC roobi!
Another enjoyable day in the North Island as we moved from Taupo through to Rotorua. Some neat places to stop and look at - rather unfamiliar to South Island eyes - and some caches to find too. Thanks for putting them there!
Sorry, just realised never posted the log..
Beginning to get dark, so ran the track. Spent a while searching before finding the cache, but nice hide, thanks

A pleasant late afternoon stroll down to find this one before heading off to check out a few "nooks 'n' crannies". Cheers and TFTC
After a long day of driving and having travelled some 450 kms to finish off a few caches along the edge of the lake seemed like a great idea.
Thanks for brining me to this spot

Lovely stroll through the bush. However, the cicadas were deafening to the point that one's ears were beginning to ring. Discovered the cache as described. Very well hidden. Thanks for a lovely walk and great cache.
Awesome awesome spot! Totally had us stumped! Then it all clicked. Awesome find. Took nothing but was awesome! Thanks heaps
A quick early morning find while in Taupo for a few days.
Thanks for the cache roobi

Loved it. The walk, the peace , the veiw. Will bring back a TB in near future. TYFC,
Gorgeous little spot; very privileged to be here as it seems like a little known spot. Found whilst on holiday from Auckland.
No luck with this one was hoping to get it before I left, will have to try again another time
A nervous walk through the bush, with the sound of thunder all around and rain showers not very far away. After making it back safely decided trying for the next one might just push my luck too far.

Did today with Wandering Dragons. A couple of muggles came across us while we were looking at the cache, but they seemed more interested in the views and scenery rather than us. Thanks.

Cache #1013 - a beautiful walk and a great hide. Did today with Violet Butterfly. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Had a lovely early morning walk to this cache and the views were worth the wander along to GZ. Nicely hidden cache that fortunately posed no problems. TFTC
Yes, the cache is reasonably large. The description says it is 1 liter. The cache listing guidelines at the time it was placed considered this a small cache. However, there certainly seems to be a trend to call what were previously small caches regular. We always tried to place the largest cache we could. We have a large one out there, hopefully. Nearly 2 years since last found.

In company with Pprass we walked a number of tracks around this incredible lake today. What a magic spot this is! The location of the cache earns it a favourite tick from us.
NOTE TO CO: After locating the cache we were surprised at the size and wonder if it might be more a "Regular" than "Small"?
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt roobi.

Found at 9:03 AM GAFF1 in the company of Phetlern. Another nice walk and we could see Taupo from a different perspective from here.
Thanks roobi
Feedback: This is more of a regular than a small.

Today we walked the Rangatira Point walkway. We also sought for the caches also we were not able to read the descriptions of the caches cause of technical problems.
This is a cache why we love this hobby so much. It led us to a very lovely place. It’s absolute beautiful there.
Then we started seeking for the cache an after a short time we found the cache at 1 p.m.. We were lucky because it’s a very good hiding place that can make you search long and we only had the coordinates, no more.
Thanks a lot for leading us to this awesome spot!!!
