Logs
Unfortunately jar has a crack in it, so log is soaking wet, so have a photo for proof. Thanks anyway Skindo for bringing me here. TFTC
Travelling from Manawatu to Hawkes Bay today, and caching along the way! Seventh find of the day here, with a log that was too damp to sign unfortunately (photo attached). To answer the question the cache title is asking - not for a million dollars. TFTC!
I'm on a wee road trip to southern Hawkes Bay (or is to northern Wairarapa?) on an attempt to clear the Vikings Geoart, with a bit of freedom camping down at the coast. (Apologies for the generic logging)Today it's the run up from Wellington, over the track and up to Dannevirke before heading out into the back roads.Log was quite wet. Hope it wasn't from the pond contents! All good here and TFTC.Find #6215 at 8 January 2024 9:59 am
Found it! A bit wet inside but dont think its from the lake might need a check in by owners
Xmas caching roadtrip time again, we left the motorhome at the camp in Dannevirke and set out in our Xmas decorated Jimny.Last one for Xmas Day so back to camp for our Xmas dinner TFTC
Had a good poke around for ages, unfortunately not there for us today. Thanks anyway, hopefully will be back at some other time.
Matariki weekend and a team of us from BOP have ventured south for a caching weekend. The team consists of TNXPro, NZFlossy, McJandals and DavidsonClan. Logs signed as Team BOP.
Weather cold wet and windy but that won’t stop us on our mission.
Ngā mihi for the cache hides.

Weather is just starting to set in as I head south, but this looked like a good stop to stretch legs. TFTC. All good here.
This one hadn't been found in a while, so we weren't sure of it would still be there. But after a quick search, using the hint, we soon located it. Log bit a little damp, but otherwise all good. TFTC
Talla64 and I are spending a few days in Hawkes Bay mainly focussing on the PWGT2 caches, but also picking up a few others which happen to be on our route. This was one of them. A nice quick find here with no muggles around. TFTC Skindo.
I went to Dannevirke today to meet up with a friend and on the way back to his house I showed him what geocaching was by finding a few geocaches with him.
We stopped off here and had a look around. The place had quite a bit of rubbish, which poor him thought might be the geocache, but I quickly directed him in the right direction. TFTC!

The fence corner post is where the treasure you seek. Was so surprised to have rustynz find it. Thank
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Easter weekend is upon us. We’ve been looking forward to this holiday - it’s a chance to take a big swipe at the PWGT2 caches. We’re also keen to pick off some interesting hides and avenge one or two previous DNFs...
The unsettled weather made any thoughts of a swim unappealing. A quick find here - Thanks Skindo and TFTC.

With rebel98, on a long weekend of fun.
We are staying in town, so after dinner and booking into our accommodation we made time to find a couple of caches.
I was so happy to find this one, earned a smiley, thanks

We travelled from Kairakau Beach (superb spot) to Dannevirke late afternoon and located three caches along the way, but this wasn’t one of them. Expected this to be a quick find but it wasn’t under any of the hint items we checked. We left empty-handed but enjoyed a friendly interaction with the neighbourhood cows!
I decided to use the opportunity of having a quiet few days off work over Xmas to drive over to the Hawkes Bay in order to be a cacher in that region for the first time.
It only took a moment of hunting around before I made the find. Cache was nicely hidden away in an obvious spot (for a cacher). On opening the container, there was nothing untoward found with the log, which was signed before the whole lot was replaced back where I found it.
Thanks for setting this cache up, and I wish you a happy and prosperous 2021

A newish fence with no accessible hint object, but the pottle is still present. TFTC!
Definitely not a day to contemplate swimming today! Nice sun but bitter southerly. TFTC Skindo!
A nice quiet stretch of road and with no muggles to be seen. How good is this?
A quick search at GZ and the cache was found by my toddler (with some assistance).
TFTC Skindo!

It has been a glorious early summer day, but will bypass the swim offer. Cache soon in hand. Thanks Skindo for another cache placement.
Originally I had a non-caching road trip planned for the weekend, but the year that wont stop 'giving' put a stop to that, so plans changed and today I ended up caching my way from Napier back to Wellington. Cam here to right the wrong of a previous DNF. No problem finding the cache today (daylight helps), TFTC
Nice easy find once the waste truck had gone through the nearby gate to empty his load in the facilities here. That’s a no thanks to the swim idea despite being a warm dry day
Easy find, bit I think the farmer in the paddock accross the road thought I was acting a bit strange LOL TFTC
Just finished a week of work in Whanganui and heading home to the East coast. Long drive so stopping occasionally for a smiley. Would have loved a swim but will wait for the sandy beaches at home. Thanks
Yay! My First geo coin find, and now the challenge is where to release it?? too cold for swimming today!
My GPS was all over the place, in fact that was my last cache for the day, was getting frustrated, used my GPS in the campervan and found it straight away, picked up a tb, and dropped a geocoin off, tftc Skindo
(# 5555). On a trip up to the Bay to grab a few caches and took check out a work mate who up here to play cricket for Wellington A. A quick find on my way back south. Everything in order. TFTC
Day 9

#11,344. Park and grab on Makirikiri Road in Dannevirke. Fortunately GZ was all quiet at the time of the visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Found on my trip north enjoying the caches in the area. And no I don't fancy a swim here
Easy find. Nearly broke my ankle in a close by hole. Watch out for that. Otherwise cool spot. TFTC. Smurf can hang out here for a while and have a swim
A quick side trip on our way to Wellyz. Such a hot hot day, luckily a quick find and sign of the log before retreating into the comfort of the air conditioned car. All good at GZ. TFTC
During my stay at a campsite nearby, I decided I needed to get up my points for the friends league so nevermind staying here doing nothing this afternoon, in the car and off I went with my Nonna and Pop to get some nearby caches. thanks for the cache, quick easy find. Signed and replaced exactly as found. Thanks again.
Parked up and looked all around but took a few minutes to get the right spot. TFTC.
Down in the area for a rest with friends and for some caching. The are some interesting caches to be found. TFTC
Today's hunt for caches are those that are a few kms south of Dannevirke. I try to individualise each log where I can apart from the generic first line.
Not today, thanks. It's a bit cold and a tad windy. As well I would probably come out more aromatic than what I would be when I went in.
Cheers for the cache.

#5844. Day 2 of the mid-winter road trip into the back blocks of the Wairarapa and southern Hawkes Bay. The team (Ethness, Infoferret and I ) camped overnight in Dannevirke (OK it wasn't really camping as we all had comfortable beds and it was inside a nice motel). But it was base camp for the night. After a number of new caches were published overnight the team got sidetracked and seduced by the chance of a series of first to finds over by the Manawatu Gorge. But the whip was cracked and the team dutifully headed off east to pick up more skindo caches. After grabbing some lunch at the supermarket in Dannevirke, we headed out of town to do this one after the multi. Should have been a quick find but the GPS bounced me around between the typical skindo hiding spots. Finally at the 4th one checked and with IF standing over it I had the cache in hand. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding the cache here skindo. Apart from the chilly winter day, I had no desire to swim in these ponds!
This had me walking around in circles and I started overthinking this one. I re-read the logs and returned as I thought this had to be simple, and there it was. Log signed and cache returned
Quick stop-off as we travelled north. Didn't really look that inviting for a swim
We're on our way home from our school holiday break in Napier. We stopped nearby at McDonalds for lunch and then decided to have a look for this one.
It was absolutely tipping down with rain while we were searching. Got there in the end but got soaked doing it.
The cache is in good condition. Surprisingly, all nice and dry.
Thank you
Cherrys Rule

No swim today. I think the pool is being dug up!
Quick find where all good at GZ. Thanks for another smilie.
Did you know that planning has started for a Mega Event in Wellington in 2018? Check out the details on the [Wellington Event NZ (WENZ) Website](https://sites.google.com/site/wenzgeo2018/home) or visit the event's page on [FaceBook](https://www.facebook.com/groups/590545297801072/).
Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn't be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn't take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code.

Many braces make for a good hunt and no, we didn't fancy a swim at that time of the night!! Out on a numbers run with Infoferret so log signed either with my name, or for speed, 'IE' or 'EI'. TFTC
On a caching foray with EthNZ into the Wairarapa today - No 47 in the race to 50 in a day, car, mind, body and phone battery willing! This took a while as the phone couldn't decide where it wanted to be, so I searched a number of possibilities. TFTC.
Travelling around looking at our wonderful home land.
Weather has been inclement but this has not dampened our enthusiasm.

Heading down to the Manawatu for an over night visit with family. Nice quick find, cheers.
Wow It looks like it's going to be a big swimming pool once they fill it up... just a few puddles at the moment ...TFTC
Certainlyvo pond now. Had to laugh. Teeps found the cache and the foot hole! TFTC.
Definitely need to watch out for hole near the cache! Other than a small stumble very successful, thanks
No water to swim in today. Just a big hole and lots of earthmoving equipment. Nice easy find. TFTC
Weekend away to the Hawkes Bay with tmann421 geocaching.

Thank you. Greetings from Czech Republic

This was another quick find. Despite it being a very warm day, I resisted the temptation to have a swim here.
Day THREE of Clan Murrays 2015 Geo Road Trip - Napier to Wellington
Got muggled by a driver of a 15 tonne truck (don't know how we didn't see this coming lol) - but turns out he was a fellow geo cacher checking up on us

I was on a day trip with my mum (SunnyBunny64) and Nickhbnz and his son Lucas. TFTC
No swimming today... or any other day most likely! TFTC 19th on our roadtrip to Palmerston North.
2 adult cachers and 2 geo kids on a road trip from Napier to Palmerston North seeing how many caches we can log on our way! Just googled what an oxidation pond is, ew! haha Saw some sort of spinning contraption on the water's surface, not sure I want to know what it was doing. Almost lost my boot in a small but deep hole right next to GZ. Shrieked like a little girl as it gave me a bit of a fright with how deep it was! The kids wanted me to take photos with their leg in the hole so I did TFTC
Who knew there was a dam here? Also found a deep hole with my foot near the cache. TFTC
Nice and quick. Be aware of a 30cm deep hole where the old fence was, near to GZ. It is a great ankle biter.
Greetings from Denmark
Today we spend some more time Dannevirke.
Yesterday was my birthday and we had a fine meal at the Barrel House
Later we drove up to Turangi
