No luck this time. Looked exactly where previous finders photos were so wondering if maybe its not here?
Thank you for the cache. Was very well hidden, a bit muddy on the way in thanks to a lot of rain recently. A few ants around the container but not too many to cause issues. Was a bit tricky to get the lid off at first but managed to use my pen to pry it off.
Another great weekend in Auckland with Lis's Crew to complete this months challenge and find a few extra caches in and around Milford.
This was one of our first finds of the morning, thankfully we were wearing our winter caching attire - gumboots as it was fully wet underfoot.
Quick find at GZ. Thanks for bringing me here and TFGC.

Yvettetb and I are down in Auckland again for a geocaching weekend. We had a great day yesterday at the event then collected all the different types needed for the souvenir around Auckland. That was a sucessful outing and although rain constantly threatened it only spat on us occasionally.
Today the forecast wasn't much better. As luck would have it we had another dry and productive day. We even managed to get 5 ftfs in Whangarei to finish our weekend off.
A quick walk over the soggy ground was no problem in our gumboots today. Totem poles seem to be appearing all over the place these days. I picture them more as an Indian thing rather than a Maori tradition. And yes, I think they are getting pretty large with modern European tools. Thanks for a simple but effective cache hide

M24: starting the day off with a nice and easy find here, log is full to the brim with cacher signatures, managed to get a log though, so all is good. TFTC.
Found it…And it’s lid!!! Unfortunately was filled with ants. I think I got them all out. And sealed it tight. Log book is full, and I didn’t have a pen on me, but oh well.
Hopefully the ants keep out!

Nice quick find, although top is missing from container. Contents remain dry. TFTC
This was the second cache I found on my bike ride today, after cycling through Akoranga Station and continuing along the path. I've noticed the totem pole before since I've been up and down the motorway many times, but didn't know the significance of it before, so thanks for all the information on the cache page! As for the cache, I found it in pieces (camo, container, log all separate) so signed and then tried to put everything back together as intended. TFTC!
When I first saw the title of this I thought it would be at the site of the totem, but luckily no dashes across the Northern required and I see a recent lopping of a tree has meant the totem is really visible again. Nice use of natural materials for the camo, no slaters around when found.
Have had my beady eyes on a few of the caches around the North Shore with some future dot-days to come and which are on my actual route to/from Whenuapai, rather than the tenuous other 'on my route' caches which have already been gobbled up over the last few months.
A trio of close-proximity caches was in my sights today and success at all GZ s meant a good haul.

Found the cache but didn’t sign the log. Hopefully you’ll understand if you take a look at the photo! Nice park. TFTC
First time to wander around this open expanse of grass. Driven past millions of time. Interesting to get a different perspective. Thanks for the nicely crafted cache.
Can't believe I put my hand straight on it, miracles do occur plus bit of G2 experience. The totem was watching! Added a bit more random paper as log is full.
I've taken the afternoon off work for an appointment in Takapuna, and with a bit of time to spare first, stopped by to find this cache. As others have said: perfect clue. An odd big empty field this - I wonder if anybody ever comes here when they're not caching? Thanks!
This one was on my list to be catch during after work walk. So did I. Thanks for the cache.
Nice day for a walk so after collecting the cache that is near the arts centre we took the opportunity to walk across here and look for this geocache. It was very quiet and we didn't run across anyone else so it was easy to find the correct place to look for the cache and had my geosenses with me today so made a quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache, nice view of the totem pole from here, grabbed a photo. All good here, thanks again.
I had last attempted this during the wetter months. At the time the service lane was open, so we could drive most of the way to GZ, but then it was a swamp, so I had to reverse all the way back.
Today I was nearby, so made this my final cache of the day. Parked at the bus terminal and walked up to the path. All dry on the way to GZ. My GPS finally died about 15m from GZ, but thankfully I would make a nice quick find. Log was full, but found a spot to sign.

A day in Takapuna: headed up to Takapuna today after helping my Father with some errands this morning. Spent the day walking from Akoranga to Milford via Takapuna Beach, and experienced some really good caches, especially since this appears to be G-2’s playground. Nice views and good fun all round, so a productive day it was.
The specific log for each cache is as follows:
Took a little walk across the field to admire the totem pole. The cache was not hard to find here, and the Blackberry hasn’t become a nuisance this year I suppose. All done here, nice camouflage as always, TFTC!

A nice walk to this one after work, no one around as it was a little breezy and thanks to the co-ords being spot on it was a nice quick find
Detoured to this Reserve on my way to work this morning to grab a couple of caches round here. Co-ords were spot on and took me straight to the excellent camo. TFTC
Well, I didn't have to foot it on foot today to GZ and I'm happy with that, I didn't know the e-bike is also a mountain bike and even though I was wobbling all over the place, it got me to GZ without any hassles. I probably sucked some juice outta the battery having said that though!! I was using the phone as my compass, and so it took me to several trees before I found the correct one, once I had the cache in hand I almost laid down in the long grass, it was so warm and inviting and relaxing I wanted to have a sleep in it. But I thought better of it... loved the comedy with the link. Always been a fan of the Ronnies. Cheers G.
After finishing up some work during the weekend I had some sun left to get some geocaches done today. Easy find at GZ. TFTC
Came up from hamilton to attend a meeting in the Bruce Mason Centre, and fearing auckland traffic I left home rather early. It meant that I missed all the traffic and had 2 hours to kill. Instead of wasting them, I decided to go for a walk geocaching! may have looked a bit funny wondering into the park in my work gear today
Cheers for getting me out here - wow there are so many cars on the motorway.

We have driven past the totem pole numerous times, but never been so close as we were today. Thought we saw a natural totem, and assumed it to be GZ but it wasn't and so we relied on our coords to take us to the right spot.
The number of times I must have driven past this reserve, yet I would never have come here on foot if it weren't for this cache, (and the other two near here...)
If it's there it is well hidden. I spent 20mins looking in the vicinity and couldn't find. Was concerned the tractor mower was carving a path out nearby and may have disturbed the cache.
Nice camo! Old log full, left a new one and a plastic bag to stop water damage.
Couldn't find it after 15 mins. Checked a bunch of trees that matched the hint but still couldn't see it. Came out bleeding from trees lol
#315 Gps was a little off but found relatively quickly once I had a look at the clue. Log is almost full, I didn't have any spares on me today when I looked so it next geocacher can have one on them, would be good

Pretty easy grab without too much struggle with the stickery plants. Loved the video link, by the way.
Might have to come back when the berries are ripe to eat some.

Second attempt for this cache. Nice walk in the open field to GZ and quickly had cache in hand. TFTC
I grabbed this cache quickly. I followed a trail that lead me there. Neat camo. Doggies really excited to be running around. TFTC ;D
I didn't read the description properly at first and just headed straight for the totem pole (awesome!) and then got confused when I saw it was on the wrong side of the motorway ... Decided to trust the GPS anyway and found the cache nice and easy. Great camo! It was only upon rereading the description later that I realised I was never supposed to go to the pole anyway. Doh!
I looked around until I figured out which was the one mentioned in the hint. It was then easy to spot the cache. TFTC.
Found it on a lazy Sunday morning. Haven't been here before. Great to see a bit of Americana. Somehow similar to the one at Arataki. Good camo. Cheers for the cache.
Another tricky cache. Looking in the wrong place at first but eventually found it. Thanks.
Quick find. Appeared to be some tracks into the scrub area toward the motorway-surely its not in there?!
But a quick grab was made thanks to a good clue

After looking at the plants in the area that were waiting for soft flesh to fall into them, I wondered at the wisdom of getting this one with fewer that 4 layers of clothing on. However, the fears were unfounded. The camo was excellent on this one, though it was a pretty easy find. It was a nice view across to the totem as well.
Walked out here from a nearby parking spot and soon located the cache. No evidence at this time of the "Nasty Plants" just a happy little cache waiting to be discovered

I have often wondered about the origin of the totem pole. Enjoyed to blackberry. Great skit.
Just like yesterday. Hopped off the bus on the way home from work. Squelched across the boggy paddock (160M further today) , found cache (a tad damp but OK) squelched back, hopped on another bus, home. Damn this caching streak!
