Unfortunately we have to let this one go - a little too far out of our way these days
Definitely looks like it's missing - as we're going through an interstate move it'll be a while before we get to look at this one. Offline for the time being.
Bugger and blast.. our first adventure with the family and no luck. Hoping for a find on the next one.

I don't disagree that this is a fine spot and the fam loved the ducks and lake but unfortunately I couldn't locate the cache despite a decent look in all of the obvious places.
Oh my goodness! I lived here, in Parrott street, many years ago when this was basically a swamp and full of willows. As 10/11 year-olds we used to play and explore here. In those days the by-pass road was just being started and the only thing to the north was the golf course. What a change has taken place. A quick find - maybe too easy as it was pretty much in full view.
Thanks o'cholio for the excuse to return and see the changes.

First attempt at the app. Kids loved the excitement and adventure . Off to another!
Touring around on a couple of days break after a busy couple of months, we found this one at 3:55pm and SL. Spotted a pair of ducks and 7 dear little ducklings, a couple of Magpies and a pair of handsome geese. They certainly have created a dam fine place here! TFTC
Thanks for bringing us here to this fantastic little spot, we often drive through Cobden but never stop. Kids loved the playground.

Came to look for this one a few months ago with no success. Came back today and found it within 5 minutes.

Heading towards Camperdown visiting farms on the way.
Parked near GZ and started the search whilst the rain started falling. Soon had the log in hand and retired to GeoPrado to stay dry.
Thanks for the cache!!!

Thanks for the cache!!!
Heading home from Port Fairy, went via Cobden to find this cache. Cobden must be very proud in creating this great asset to the town, win win for people and the environment, found with muggle family, thanks for bringing us here o'cholio.
Beautiful spot for a stroll. Lots of ducks to feed. Can't believe I didn't find this the first time I was here. TFTC o'cholio. LS
They have made a great job beautifying this area. Thanks for the cache and the scenic beauty.
Beautiful area. Great cache, look for a piece of wire! Dogs will love this cache to! Tftc!!
Found it with Ryanofoz. Got the Vline and local bus out to cobden to meet Ryanofoz. After he finished work we headed down to the dam to find the cache. Loved all the ducks and swans just walking about. A beautiful spot to see. TFTC

The company I work for has an annual shutdown between Christmas and New Year. I had decided to use this time to head out on a couple of caching road trips in order for me to qualify for two challenges... Victorian LGA Polygon Challenge and Victoria Country Road Atlas Challenge. After a successful northern trip with my housemate Obi-Cal, I headed south west solo this time for a bit more adventure.
Upon arriving at GZ, nobody was about except a bunch of geese that looked ready to pounce. A nice easy find here today, cache in good order.
Thanks to o'cholio for placing this cache. TNLN

Our first geocache! So cool! Challenging to find but definitely worth the patience!
Sorry for late log. Found while travel to Warrnambool for family event. A nice hide. Thanks o'cholio.
This was an interesting cache ... I knew where it must be, then I found it, but then getting into it was not as simple as I thought. TNLN, SL, TFTC!

En route from Warrnambool to Geelong this was a great little spot to jump out and stretch our legs and claim a smiley.
Thanks to o'cholio for the hunt.

First for the day and didn't take too long to find. A nice quiet area first thing in the morning. Was surprised that there was only one cache in this reasonable sized town. Thanks.
200ml sistema my foot !
Cache is where it's meant to be even though the phone was a bit funny with directions

Suscoe was travelling nearby today when we decided to detour to this lovely little town to sort out a smile on the map.
Arrived at the spot and used the car as a bit of protection from the lunching folks.
Cache soon found, log signed all the while being watched by the friendly ducks.
It was an interesting and quick stop while on the go.
Thanks to o'cholio for placing this cache here.
Off we go again!!!!!!

Nice area for a bite to eat. Another unknown place to us and so close to home. TFTC
Thanks for bringing me to this beautiful spot. I've been through Cobden a few times, but never been here. There was a duck who must have thought it was a dog. It was drinking out if an ice cream container next to a tap. Found cache after a few minutes of searching. I was looking for a 200ml sistema as per the description, but the container was a different type. TFTC o'cholio.
Picked a rainy muggle free afternoon during the week to get this one as we have been here before with too many muggles to have a good look. Saw only one muggle with a very large dog as we went about our business. After a little looking around and the GPS settling down we soon had the clever hide in hand. TFTC o'cholio
We searched everywhere when the ticker said 0m and still nothing I think it's been stolen
Opps! Found this last weekend! Nearly gave up trying to find it! So we went to the bakery and went back! We were delighted! We even stayed to feed the ducks! Warning- They bite!!!!
Found while on my lunch break. Stopped here after a run down to Warnnambool. I often cut through this town but will stop here more often after sampling the pies at the Bakery. This Park made a nice place to stop in the shade to enjoy lunch and grab a neat little cache TFTC
Yes Sir !! This is a Dam Fine Spot
Fortunately I had been too lazy to switch maps on me GPS and so was just following the arrow with no side streets shown.
That got me to a good parking spot about 200metres away, near the bowls club.
And from there, I got to enjoy the cool, shady stroll along the pathways for several minutes before actually reaching GZ [^]
There are plenty of sign boards, similar to the one at GZ, to read along the way and they explain very well what has happened along Cobden Creek to bring it back to life [^]
At GZ I checked the obvious place first
So then I checked the clue.
Then I checked the correct place and sighted the container a few metres away
Cache logbook signed and I could complete the stroll around the dam to return to the geomobile [^]

Cobden should be proud of the transformation of this area. It is a very pleasant place now and the ducks have certainly made themselves at home. Quick find between micro muggles and mums TFTC O'CHOLIO
A very tranquil spot for a stop. Nice little container which shouldn't get lost easily. TFTC.
Found! Another wonderful spot to geocache. I've had a great few days away from home already & enjoying the cache's away from my own backyard. The cache container wasn't a normal 200ml sistema container & was well hidden. Had to get down low to locate

A nice chance to get out and stretch the legs while passing through town this hot afternoon. The lake looks inviting but the signs put up around it advise not to go near the water, the ducks didn't seem too worried though. Tftc o'cholio.
First cache of the day. Spending the day showing a muggle friend the art of caching TFTC
This weekend I went to a motorcycle rally near Portland, Vic. I shared some of the ride with Ruschie and we found a few caches together. This was one of them. tftc.
Crusty.
Crusty.
Found at 12.45. Dropping mum in Cobden - only a few steps from this one. Spent a few minutes as the co-ords wouldn't settle. Eventually found and log signed before walking back across to destination. tFTC
Not sure if missed this one. GZ but DNF. Instead found some clues from some kind of (scout?school?) treasure hunt. Wondered if cache had been muggled? We leave it to next geocacher to give it snother try.
Found at 2.05pm
What a lovely spot - the locals have made this a gem for their neat and tidy town

Found this cache, with frog 2 on all fours. The ducks were very curious about what we were doing, or were they just hungry?

Cache replaced in the same spot, but a different type of hide. Make sure it's out of sight when returning.
We searched and searched but did not find. Where was the local to hep us - we needed them. Oh a cache we will probably never find as we won't be back this way.
Spent ages looking for this cache without any luck. Looked everywhere up high down low, in on under but eventually had to give up. Not Happy
Great little spot, a passing local was much more switched on to the cache hide, than the two cachers that were fumbling about on the wrong side of the bridge, before she helped them. It seems as though she had been intrigued enough by past cachers activities, so that she knew the hide. sl tnln tftc
Found on the way back home after a day of caching. Nice little spot with plenty of birds enjoying the water. Local muggle pointed out the GZ. SL tftc
Found at 3:58 PM GAFF1. It is a fine spot indeed. We then headed down to the Lake Eringamite reserve for an overnight camp - that is a fine spot as well.
Thanks o'cholio,
Thanks o'cholio,
I was in the area a couple of weeks ago, but didn't get the opportunity to log this one.
This time, we detoured through Cobden just for this purpose
Geobairn loved getting down and dirty

Had to be pretty stealthy as there were muggle walkers everywhere. Nice little pond!
Thanks o'cholio. In town today for the kart racing so picked this one up while we were here.
muggle sitting in his car, feeding ducks, luckily he soon moved off, made easy find. tftc
Found with Lebac on a sunny but cool windy day. Great spot for a warm summer day. TFTC TNLN
