Mrs Rincewind did the driving so I could yell "stop" and head to the cache. We'd been on an unsuccessful trip to Peak Hill (Mrs R's knee played up) so this was my only cache of the day, as we headed home.
A quick find in the obvious spot. Unfortunately all I had on me was a pen and a lack of time - I shook the water out of the cache but the log is still damp. Hopefully the next finder will read this *before* parking near GZ.

Find number 5075
(Logs signed Rincewind3 or R3 if saving space. Occasionally signed BRN if caching as a team with *B*o&bronnie, *R*incewind3 and *N*otManlyJack)

Down to Christchurch on a trip and out caching today with family. We made our way over the wet grass and the uneven ground here - presumably over the pipes - to claim this cache. TFTC
Found with Lytteltonwitch, made hard work of the way in then found the easy way out! isn't it always the way? Log is a bit damp but it will dry with summer on it's way. TFTC
Cache was a quick find and we managed to find an easier way back to the car than our way to the cache
We were first to find this cache today, but last to log it seems! We drove up the road from the power station this morning before the event. We were a little nervous to be taking a route that is signposted in various places ‘private road, no public access’, ‘tresspassers will be prosecuted’ etc, but we were already committed so kept going. Later we were told by the locals not to worry, and they all took the same route. When we arrived at GZ it took a while to make our way safely over the tricky terrain, and as expected it was difficult to get a good fix. Once at GZ though, the cache was quickly found, signed and returned, and we headed back downhill (the long way around!) to meet others who had started arriving for the event.
While at GZ we didn’t hear water rushing through the pipes as commented by a previous finder, only the strong wind rushing through the trees!
TFTC troutburger!

Upwards and onwards we went from the event, following the pipeline.
A bit of an obstacle course is laid, after the cache has been placed, I suspect.
But that did not stop us.
Kia ora! Paldies!
Thanks, troutburger!

Seems amazing to me that beneath the normal landscape here are pipes full of water thundering down to the powerstation near the village. Thanks for the cache.

With Trudles, (who got out to supervise), and KR who was my tour guide as he'd also found it before, (10 years ago) and the rest of the team who made a speedy scrum down at GZ, and came away with a good result. Thanks troutburger.
After the nearby event, knotobsessed and I drove by here on the way to the earthcache... A suspect looking car was parked up at GZ, and with a couple cars behind me, we made a team find. Thanks!
TFTC troutburger, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 2 find(s) of 5 today, making this find #3559

We're down in Canterbury for Matariki weekend and I wanted to grab a few caches down here. This one popped up on our way to look at Lake Coleridge. Great little walk and found the cache pretty quickly. TFTC!
M went to find the cache and found it easily. It is hard to believe all those large pipes travel below our feet.
You couldn't really tell the pipes were below, except of course where are they between the intake and the obvious visible pipes on the surface! TFTC!!
Wondered how deep the pipes were buried? Cache located just passed the dead possum and feeding wild cat; TFTC
Was great to get up here, and be away from the city. Great place for a cache. Only a single cyclist passing by while we were there. Thanks for the cache
We were exploring the area after our 4x4 weekend in the Harper and Avoca rivers. What an interesting thing to hear the roar of the water in the pipes and not see them. Cache all good and secure thanks troutburger.
It was time to locate a few of the PWGT caches out Methven/Lake Coleridge way and any others that might get in the way.
This was one of the others.
Cheers for the cache.

*Another good find.* ??Nice day going from cache to cache with woolwood9.We soon had the container located. SL: *tm/ww NZ*Thanks for putting this out for us to visit! We enjoyed the drive / walk around!
Nice find. Fascinating area. Caravaning and it's pretty chilly at this time of year. Brrr. Still fascinating though.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a caching trip from ChCh to Lake Lyndon then onto Lake Coleridge then back to ChCh, which included a couple of walks. I had never been on the back road between the two lakes before and it was interesting exploring the area.
A wee detour to look for this cache. No troubles with the find, just had to watch your step on the uneven ground. We didn't have time to drive further up Algidus Rd road as it was already late afternoon, we will have to return another day. TFTC.

#17146. Good idea to place a cache over the pipes; they run for quite some distance underground. Cache covering stone easily spotted once we had picked our way carefully to GZ. TFTC.
Today I'm travelling from Methven via Lake Coleridge to Christchurch. It's my last full dat at the Southern Island. I'm on my way to Lake Coleridge to do some hiking. Found this one on the way in. Thanks for hiding; let some water out of the stash.
Nice quick stop and nice quick find on this one. no one around and cache was in perfect condition. tftc
Nice scenic drive with fefe.adrien for discovering the lake Coleridge.
We found some boxes around.
We signed on the logbook with our team name : Lekiprokos.

Quick find on a cold day exploring Lake Coleridge and it's surrounds. TFTC.
as im still recovering from a geocaching spill today was the time to grab a few wayward park and grabs from the source of the Rakaia( well it felt like it) all the way to the mouth and back to Geraldine 350km round trip and only 1 dnf .
not the easiest terrain with a dodgy knee but perseverance paid off with the find

On our first visit to New Zealand this was my first cache to find. This is a special one because now I found caches on each continent. Thanks to the hint easy to find. Thank you.
A Little Walk throug the Wood, the yellow Marks Follower. We find this easy.

3rd easy find on our way back from the Wilberforce Crossing with Jayjewel. We sat & enjoyed a snack in the shade of the pine trees. As it was a very high day, the pine cones were popping all over the place.
Out and about on an afternoons driving adventure with the family. Haven't been out this way before. Hot day in CHCH but rather cold and blustery here. A quick find and sign by the Wee Dude. Cheers.
Found a wee while ago but have just relised that I hadnt logged it so here it is, This one took me a moment or two, but got it in the end.. TFTC. Cheers Bo
A lovely day to go up and down. Might be different if there was a bit of water around. TFTC
My 397th cache.
Thank you for showing me that nice spot.

A quick easy find in the 30 degree temperature. Although you can’t see the pipes, it is interesting to know of their location. TFTC
Another classic Troutburger cache in the middle of nowhere. I seem to have a habit of coming across them. Was up here for the fishing but that is on the backburner at the moment due to the NW breeze, we went to the Lake at the intake and it looked like the ocean was there Wow! TFTC
A surprising little spot spoiled somewhat by the large dumped??? puddle of a bright luminescent green liquid.;-by the smell, spray of some kind. Enjoyed the find though. Thank you.

In the area for some orienteering, so departed early to find a few caches beforehand. A quick find on our way to the end of the road. Left TB. TFTC.

We went for a walk near Lake Tekapo on a very windy day, we found this cache on our way.
Took a walk on the mountain near the lake (Coleridge), and we visited this cache on the way. I expected to see anything of the actual pipes, but there I realized they are passing below.
On the way back we nearly crashed our car on the narrow road. It is a narrow, private dangerous road, especially when meeting upcoming cars. I think that should be noted.
TFTC.

Slithered thru the frost and mud to claim our prize. Quite a busy road on a Monday afternoon.
After having a lovely Lunch at Terrace Downs,we came here, and after climbing over the pile of dirt,we could see the hidey place from there.Yep there it was.TFTC
A beautiful Anzac Day, good for heading out to the country to explore & find some caches.
