Cleaned and dried. Log damp but could write name ok. Out with gdkja for afternoon now that rain has eased. Tftc
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Were here for Geo Toroa (Dunedin Mega). Between flight cancellations and re-routing, things could only get better, right? But wait, theres more! Somewhere on our caching escapades, I dropped my wallet (Tuesday) Its still at large, so if anyone finds itOne of us usually drives, the other is the retriever. That works for us. Weve either logged caches with our separate handles, or weve used FANGS to sign the logbook. Using the latter handle is more for mental health and well being. Its tiring having to write 15 + characters on each logbook Taking the rural, scenic route today - From Allanton to Balclutha. When we saw the mass of trads dotted along a network of forestry roads, it was agreed that we would give that trail a whirl. It was definitely excellent for numbers All of the caches were in great shape. We were impressed with spot on coords and caches that were freshly checked. It was encouraging to meet one of those COs performing maintenance on the trailAn interesting location for a cache. I tried to find some information about the bridge structure to read up on, but didnt find much Logbook a bit damp, but useable. Thanks Onslow Fisherman. TFTC.
What a stunning spot! A cute as pie bridge framed by stunning autumn leaves. Cache was just a little way after this in a great spot.
Love the history you find in these places. Had a bit of a look around & then cache was found.
On our bikes again for our last day, from Lawrence to Waihola.A short diversion from the trail to grab this hide. TFTC
Thay was pretty cool, and I got to ride on the bridge as well.Cheers and thanks,S.t.
Rode down the extension of the Clutha Gold from Lawrence to Stuarts Reserve and back. A really enjoyable ride through pleasant countryside. TFT
Interesting place to visit. Had to be careful where we parked as log trucks were using this road. Thanks for bringing us here.
Easiest multi every with only one waypoint. Loved the viaduct. Been travelling this way all my life and never knew of its existence.

Stopped to admire bridge. Have driven under it many times but never stopped to actually look. Found easily enough. Good clue.
Out with the daywalks exploring the almost completed but not yet opened extension to the Clutha Gold Cycle Trail. This now goes through some fascinating scenery and some interesting places. We explore the section from Waitahuna in the morning and then the section from Mount Stuart Reserve in the afternoon.
Grabbed this one on the way after admiring the viaduct from both the bottom and the top.

Thanks for the cache. I see they are extending the rail trail and it will travel over the lovely old bridge over the road. Heading back to Invercargill on a slightly longer route today. Enjoying visiting areas I had not been to before.
Need 50 today for a Geocaching Licence Challenge. Thanks for all CO's placing these, especially those with safe parking. This is number 44.
Out and about in the area clearing a few caches passed on a number of times over the last few years, not having the time to stop for multis.
All done and couldn't pass this OF one just off the main highway. Cool structure! glad I came here. Cache all good, another one ticked off, placed by the legend

Only became aware of the impressive old bridge here about a year ago, despite having driven past on the highway for years - some impressive stonework. Then headed off to find this cache. Grass had grown and buried the pink container a bit, but an eagle-eyed friend soon spotted it. SL and headed off for more more finds. TFTC.
Quick snag and tag here. Cheers.
Wednesday 11 November. Its Balclutha, Stirling, Tokomairiro, Waitahuna, Mt Stewart windfarm and back to Balclutha today. Lets get exploring.
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

After seeing some recently photos of the area we wanted to come, explore and find the caches in the area. And of course find more of OF's caches is a bonus! Being over watched by the herd we made our find before returning back to the crossing to stand in awe at the past handy work... Thanks for the cache, your in our thoughts often
Turned down the road in the dark, drove passed through the abutments and stopped at the GZ after finding a place to turn around, shone the torch and spied the hint. Wet con was soon in hand and we SL on Deane's replacement logsheets that were in good condition if a bit loose. *I returned with a stapler to secure the pages on another trip.* The Millbrook sheets had the code recorded and pages numbered, they got popped into a new poly baggy. I changed the con over to a cleaner familiar box that's no stranger to [LPC's](https://coord.info/GC3MWDY) it's wery pink. Dday Thanks for the smilie Jim.
I had to go over to Dunedin airport today to pick up daughter and so while going over i tried a few more caches as time permitted . This was a straight forward find but the bridge posts you pass under are delight ful and i took a photo which i will post once i get them off the camera. Thank you for this cache and another smiley face.
A quick park and grab on while out about grabbing a few caches to clean out an area. So it stop bothering me every time I drive to Cromwell knowing that there are caches out there I'm driving past. TFTC
would be lovely to see a cycleway up here again. A beautiful struture. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC OF
GZ gained once we found a place to turn around. Grabbed the cache and logged it while the little woman changed the containers over for a cleaner one. TFTC Onslow Fisherman.
On my way from Dunedin to Alexandra, I wanted to find some caches along the way. Today it's Good Friday and all the people that only drive on days like this were in front of me. From Allanton to here I never exceeded 80, pfff.... So I was very, very happy to pull out of that slow stream and go find this cache. Which was done pretty quickly; thanks for hiding! When I got back to the main road, all the problems had vanished and there was no one around for quite some time.
Wow what a fantastic surprise as we approached. That really is amazing seeing such a tall structure and still in such good condition. That's for pointing this out. TFTC #9922
Wonderful piece of history! Once again something we would not have seen if geocaching hadn't taken us off the main road.

Found it with the help of the hint. What a magic place. Loved the old rail bridge. Excited that perhaps one day this will be the route of the new Lawerence to Milton cycle way. Fingers crossed!
Found quickly on this quiet little side road. The bridge is great, thanks for bringing us here. TFTC.
Another kid safe park and grab in a beautiful location. The weather could not have been nicer for fossicking around looking for snap lock containers. No need for the hint on this one although I took a look at it after logging and it was very accurate. The log book was slightly damp but still easy to sign. Thanks for the cache R-H’s
A special find for us today as this one was our 1000th cache! We replaced the log and gave it a clean up, we were impressed with the adjacent structure! TFTC Jim, glad our 1000th was one of yours. [^]
Very soggy. Couldn't write any thing in log. Will replace when in out here next.
Nice location, looks like this bridge could

We are currently on holiday in Southland, visiting from Auckland, together with HOLE-IN-ONE2, who is visiting from the UK. Today we decided to tackle a challenge we have been meaning to do for a while and with a big drive planned today thought it would be a good chance to complete it, 50 caches in one day, each cache at least 1km apart from all the others! Back on track towards Queenstown where we are staying tonight and this was a nice quick easy find. TFTC

Hadn't planned on getting this cache today - but so glad I came up here! This structure was great to see. It is amazing that the stone work is all there - but no top on it all.

Its a beautiful day for a drive to Dunedin and picked up a few caches on the way. We enjoyed this stop very much, since it was off the beaten track and gave us a chance to do some birding too. A very peaceful place. Thanks for the cache! -Mumzy from CA
Found 2nd one for the day. It had log book which was wet I put a spare silcon bag in.
Beware of the road ditch I didn't see it and got wet foot
Coming back from NZ first Mega event in Dunedin

Heading back to Queenstown after attending the Mega in Dunedin and we had time to pick up a few caches. Very quiet road so a good spot for a cache. Unfortunately it will need a bit of maintenance at some stage though as the log book is very wet. Sistemas don't like being on their sides so we righted it and covered it up. TFTC.
Holy Jimminy!
Armed with reconnaissance from bjk97, I still wasn't expecting this magnificent structure from a bygone era. Gorgeous example of the apogee of practical stonemasonry. Thanks for bringing me here OF.

I don't mind a drive-by when it is on a quiet road. This one was fun.
Some can get too exciting though when they are on a blind corner of a fast road.
We did stop for a disabled multi but that was worthwhile given the stonework.

Found on the trip to the NZ mega with Sam walkers. After searching for the nearby multi and then reading the logs and seeing it was missing we made our way down the road to this gz. Once there we made a quick find TFTC
Cache number #11 in the South Island while on my way to the Mega event. Great stonework. Decided to skip the multi as there was too much beckoning further on.Nice detour off the highway to view the structure.TFTCSL
