What a dismal day, but not bad enough to stop getting out before the sun set (somewhere behind the clouds and sea mist) to log a cache or 2 . Joined up with My.Precious and headed down to Ferguson Park to Scout around the Park to find Flippaduck's stash's. GPS was a little off but cache was found in the rain.
Had to wait for muggles to clear the area, one was parked (for ages) beside GZ.
Saw something I had never seen before ... several of the seagulls were wading in the water which was high tide and very still and flat. They then scrabbled about with there "feet"disturbing the sea floor until something popped up that they gleefully ate. Great to watch them and passed the time while I waited for the area to be clear.
Finally retrieved the log which was damp as the zip bag was ripped. Signed Log and placed in new small zip lock bag then wrapped it all in the original bag. Double wrapped!!

We freedom camped here for the night. Best things in life are free, right? We found this cache before heading out. Our first leap day cache find. Woho!
TFTC! Many mugglers here today. Greetings from Denmark!

The most sneaky I have ever been, with a car next to the tree thought it would be tricky but took a seat to read the hint and found it in no time :p thank you even the girlfriend was surprised when I passed her the log to sign (:
Sooooooooo many muggles today but still managed to get it without anyone noticing. Nice to sit down too. Thanks!
Simple find on a windy day, after enjoying fish and chips with the family. TFTC
Well placed and sturdy carrier - Fergusson park is our local! Beautiful views and excellent playground for the kids.
Found on August 29th...have spent many happy hours in this park, walking and swimming, watching the soccer and people flying model planes....always something going on here...lots of dogs to talk too as well!! Took me a long time to retrieve this cache due to the high numbers of muggles walking past!! Managed to get back eventually . Many thanks Flippaduck for putting this cache here.
Another all day mission with 11HPG11 and iammrwalker, this time focusing on the other side of Tauranga. I had just finished logging the all the caches we had found in Papamoa when I looked at the map and thought why not have a crack at the other side as well!
A early start as we were on the road at 4.30am as we needed to be back not to late otherwise we'd be in the dog box when we got back home. Another fantastic day out with lots of the usual laughter and this time the weather was much better behaved. In total over 80 finds, with only a couple of DNF's and we got back in time to stay out of the dog boxes, just!
We signed the log books with Hi1, an acronym of our caching handles. A big thanks to all the CO's for all the placements, and for taking us to places we hadn't been before.
Lots of people out today as we wandered over with our ice creams. Did as the hint suggested and took and seat and admired the view before we grabbed the cache. Thanks for the hide.

Out and about trying to clear off another chunk of Tauranga geocaches. Again accompanied by HKCB and Iammrwalker, this seems to becoming a habit. Early start, head to Tauranga, cache the whole day, say we will be home early, end up being home later and then grovelling out of the dog box. This time we set off from Hamilton at 4.30am to try and get more caching done before we had to turn around. We seem to be enjoying this so much we are planning a return visit again soon. Signed our logs as "HI1" as an acronym of our respective caching names. A great, laugh filled day that was thoroughly enjoyed.
A busy park today! All sorts of muggles around. 2 legged, 4 legged, and all the rest. We took a seat and enjoyed our ice creams, the view and of course the cache.

This was one of nearly eighty Geocaches I found in the company of HKCB and 11hpg11, we signed the log HI1, an anachronism made up of the first initials of our Geocaching handles to save on log space. This was our second trip to the Bay of Plenty. A few weeks ago we conquered The Mount and Papamoa and were back today on another infamous mad mission. We left Hamilton at 4:30 am and I was back at home in time to read my two boys a story and tuck them into bed at 7:30pm. We had a fun day exploring the area and got to see lots of parts of the area we hadn’t experienced before. A big thanks to all the cache owners who took the time and effort to place so many high quality and well maintained hides. Thanks also to HKCB for organising the day and driving. I think it was fitting to undertake these trips during the ‘Geocaching Road trip’ Groundspeak promotion, as it typified all those things that make a good road trip, most importantly good company. There were plenty of laughs and some memorable shenanigans.
There were a lot of muggles around GZ today so we took a seat and enjoyed an icecream while we waited for a paddle boarder to move along and I was able to grab the cache and sign while HKCB and 11hpg11 enjoyed the view.

Didn't use GPS, so ended up sitting on the wrong seat ... duh? Must be getting tired. Cheers ... Lovely spot here.
Mallorcatommy and I were travelling through the northern island of New Zealand. What an amazing, breath-taking landscape! On our way we did some nice walks, enjoyed ourselves and found great geocaches. Thanks to all owners for nice hiding spots... We wouldn't have been to a few places without these little boxes!
This one we found quickly!
Thank you!

Every day we are traveling around is same but also different. Today we had again the pleasure to visit some very beautiful spots and were also able to find nearly placed geocaches. I thank every single owner for placing it and giving us with doing this an other good reason to come here.
Found it. Thanks to the ute parked behind blocking view of the hens party going full swing.
Nice quick find - lovely evening and great to see so many people out enjoying this beautiful park.
Thanks for another cache Flippa. A nice straight forward find and our last for the time being, but still the Ferguson Park multi to tackle so we shall return. TFTC
A really enjoyable day in Tauranga. An early morning raid on Matua netted a few. A middle of the day stroll (yeah right!) up the Mount added a few more, and a quick jaunt to Papamoa enabled us to find the one we'd heard about at the event last night. So long and thanks for all the caches
Found ... We had driven from Akld to Tauranga for the day with Mrs McMike2012 and some family. Quick easy find & easily replaced with no 'muggles' around. TN:LN:SL. TFTC. #666 for us.
TFTC ^^ Already lots of time passed till today, but i still remember the nice view on the mount
Had an hour to kill before the movie started so we decided to check out this park. Found a spot to park and while mum n dad were watching the kite surfers I powered up the GPS - lo and behold there was a cache not 6mtrs away. Braved the super strength wind to claim the find. TFTC
With Google maps to help we were expecting to find this one in a tree, but that must have been years ago Then we thought we were looking for something magnetic.... some days I wonder why I do this...
Never the less, 1 left to find for today so off we go.

Found on an early morning stroll after spending the night in this lovely park. TFTC.
Happy Fathers Day to all the Dad's
We spent a full day of caching from Rotorus to Tauranga. Travelling along your beautful sea front, forestry & close to the town centre.
We found a great selection of caches.
We camped overnight at this very scenic location, watched the sun going down over the water. Favourie point given
Thanks for placing this cache Flippaduck
