First time for me to this lovely wee place. Staying in my camper.Great wee hide thank
When we last looked for this one a few years ago we had to abandon the search due to high muggle numbers and have been planning to come back for a second try.
Today we were in the area and took the perfect opportunity to head over and have another look.
Today the area was a lot quieter however there was one family of muggles quite close to GZ so we had to be very stealthy.
Fortunately our geosenses were working on full power today and we located the cache quite quickly, despite it being very nicely tucked away.
We quickly signed the log and returned it to its hiding spot before the muggles got suspicious.
It's nice to finally turn this one into a smiley.

Took a while! The kids gave up and went eel fishing but I found it using a torch.
Quick find while staying at a lovely campervan park nearby. Lovely place to visit.
We love Grahams Beach, and it is an extra special spot since Geomum grew up caravanning at Willow Park as a child. Took a bit of scratching around to find the cache - but geokid 8 soon spotted it. It is definitely no longer a film canister so glad he thought to check it. Thanks for the placement. We enjoyed spending some time here after we had logged our find .
Quick park n find... followed by a play on the playground. What else!! Found with Reny90
The cache is no longer a film cannister and when I fist saw the item I thought is might be a mangrove seed pod and ignored it. Once I grabbed my torch and shone some light onto it I realised what it was.
Log quickly signed. Lovely beach here.

Time for another trip to the North Island for Ms_KR and me. Wellington and beyond here we come. Today we toured around north of Waiuku up to the southern heads of the Manukau harbour. It is a hot summer so far!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Lovely shade trees here. Enjoyed the cache but also liked the Silver Valiant nearby oooooh shiny. Tftc
Nice day out after Boxing day for a drive around the peninsula. We stopped here for lunch and for this cache. Quickly found signed and returned
Spent an excellent day with Keylev. Super wet day, soggy hiking boots but a boat load of caches to show for it!
First one to tackled today. Quick find here! TFTC.

B4Dawn and I had made plans to adventure in the general Awhitu area to walk and clear out some caches but then the rain set in....ah we don't mind that lets go anyway...just pack the waterproof clothes and jackets!! There were periods it was quite clear and others with really bad wind and rain that made us question what the hell we were doing out but as always it was an adventure and of course some smiley faces to be had.
This was the first of the day and a nice quick find.
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
First stop here as the Earthcache I had headed up to here for was in fact along a different road but we were keen to see what a the other areas were like. What a beautiful beach here, so glad we called by and strolled the sandy stretches pretty much alone as the few people here were nicely spread around the car park vicinity. Dropped by for this cache on the way back to the car, checked in there - nothing, then spotted the cache on the floor. Added name and replaced as intended.
A trip out up to the peninsula and to an area that we hoped wouldn't be as heavily visited and thronged by those who want to discover what's in their 'back yard'. It was definitely quieter than main town Auckland and the weather came to play too. Not a big numbers day, but a chance to finish some business completed after a previous visits a few months ago. Thanks to all COs for their caches.

Great hiding spot cache must have been replaced recently as has no pencil or swag in it and is a kinder surprise container with just a paper log
Tftc love this beach

after the dissapointment of the light house and not being able to walk up to the maori carvings due to fields being closed with a bull in paddock, was stocked to find this little gen of abeach. all intacthere and saved my dot day
Found it, I think, cool place, just after a fail at the lighthouse, glad we came here
My niece found this so quickly that I never had a chance to look! Thanks for giving us some Christmas day fun!
Quite a few people around today, one even asked us if we had the key to the shed as the BBQ was out of gas! We found a broken container on the ground and no log so replaced with the only thing we had on hand which was a kinder surprise container and rehid in what we hope is the correct spot
Heading home from the lighthouse we detoured to collect a few caches. There were a few muggles in the park today - one of them asked us if we had a key to the shed as the BBQ was out of gas!!!! Wished we could have helped them, but we were on a mission to find the cache. We found the remains of a container on the ground, so replaced it with the only thing we had on hand which was a kinder surprise container and rehid it as per the hint.
I spent the morning driving around the peninsular picking up a few caches along the way. This is a great little beach.... wish it was warm enough for a dip. Cache was quickly found thanks.
The girls and I have been camping at Awhitu peninsula. Now caching our way around the Peninsula.

Another fun find on our trip around the peninsula today, after camping out at Awhitu Regional Park, TFTC
Our large group grouped here, but not for long, the cache was found quickly by CyclicalCaching, we hovered around to see the log and a few of us took fotos at the beach and before we knew it we were off!
Found it with the group of Geocachers after Leap Day Camp Event in Awhitu Regional Park. Such a nice location ! Summer mode on 100% T4TC
A group of 5 caching wagons are making there way up to the lighthouse, finding a few caches along the way after attending the Leap Year Campout Event at the Awhitu Regional Park (some logs have been signed LY2020)
Our caching convoy members are: rustynz, rebel98, gorby, alunb, tramyard, Helefant, FMZ, rosmar, PJRBC and CyclicalCaching
We have been lucky with parking so far, so here we are walking past all the muggles who are busy doing beachy things on this fine day.
With the cache found the log was soon being signed. Thanks for the hide Wildtui10, a beach I had not visited before.

A plan was hatched to visit South Head with Tufty and Supernanny to do the two geomobs here. Afterwards we stopped by here to pick up this cache. Found the nicely hidden cache, but it wasn't the sistema mentioned by the last finder. TFTC
Found Sistema in the open and no log so have put some paper in and hid it where we assume it belongs. TFTC.
Staying out here for the weekend. A break in the weather so we have headed down to the beach for a walk. Tftc
So pleased to have a reason to visit Grahams Beach today....
My first time !
As previous two hunters have attested ; the container has vanished .
Have contacted CO by email .
In the meantime have put a temporary container in place ..... as it is a long way for people to have to return to !
No success. Only a film canister cap in the area where the cache would have likely been.
Working over the road yesterday so thought i would go find this one. I was looking for something small but the photo from a previous finder shows it a bit bigger than a film canister. I think i had the correct spot and after a DNF i messaged the owner with no response. Might need checking or answer my message and i can tell you if its where it was meant to be.
Oh and its a fantastic beach for a walk.

While staying with some friends in Pukekohe I figured I'd go on a small excursion up to the Manukau Heads. This was my 12th stop and the cache was found quickly and in good condition. Cheers Fencarrows, TFTC
A day of caching on the Awhitu Peninsula with KirsTim, vistra and yorkshirekiwi83, we made a quick stop here to make this quick find. Thanks for the hide!
Spent today exploring and caching around the Awhitu Peninsula, together with Vamber, KirsTim and Yorkshirekiwi83, signing the logs as KKKTTS.) A quick find here, before heading around to the Regional Park for a wander. TFTC!
Before heading into the regional park, we stopped off to grab this one, signed the log as KKKTTS, thanks for the cache
Out caching with KrisTim, Vamber and vistra (signed logs as KKKTTS or a variety thereof) around the Awhitu Regional Park and this was a nice quick find as a drive by, TFTC
Hadn’t thought to go look for geocaches near my home before, and this was a great first go! Well hidden but not hard to find. If you go during the week or not in summer there are hardly any muggles thank you for a great cache!
I was glad to see that the weather finally was going to be good today after a week full of rain and cold. So I made the decision to drive to Manukau heads and visit a couple of Geocaches. I could find them all except for one and I really enjoyed the beautiful landscapes out in nature!
Quick find at a nice place.
Thanks for hiding this one!

Day out with mum and dad had to be sneaky because of muggles but a funny and easy find
Find number 3714. I have never been this far north on the peninsula so I am spending the day with my muggle daughter seeing the sights and of course doing some caching. The rain had just started so I parked as close to GZ that I was able. My daughter thought that Lorde had a bach in the area so she was checking them out while I found the cache. Thankfully it was a a quick find and to avoid the rain I took it over to the BBQ area for signing. Once returned it was back to the car before I got too wet. Thank you for bring me here.
Plan for this weekend to visit Awhitu Peninsula Never been in this area before except Waiuku.
Met up with fellow cachers from Huntly on Friday night and travelled up on Saturday morning. Plan to start at bottom and work up.+ Cachers were signed with the team name HRT being first letter of our home towns (Huntly, Rotorua, Tauranga)
Generally caches were good but some a little damp, others requiring reading descriptions, hints and other cachers comments to make finds.
As the day went on we realised we would have to return the next day to complete, so this made it a Saturday & Sunday mission.
Weather was great and some amazing sites visited.
Wish to thank all CO's for caches placed. Great trip. SLTFTC

For convenience, we group signed the logs H(untly) R(otorua) T(auranga) (or P(apamoa), depending on who signed and how heat-addled we were at the time...) We've been planning a raid on the Awhitu Peninsula for some time, with a view to clearing the area of caches... It's time to execute this mission.
The beach was swarming with people, but it was fairly quiet around ground zone. TFTC.

Was at a nearby bach for New Years and yipee - there's a cache just up the beach. I had to get a cache for the New Year so off I went with my 2 junior cachers and hey presto, there it was. Quite a few people on the beach but found with Lumpy29508 & Sparkman 733 TFTC
After another hot day decided to do some caches in the evening as we are visiting friends in the area TFTC
Spending the day being driven about this beautiful area. ( bit like Aunt Daisy ). Awesome beach and such a pretty place you have here. Quick find but no crawling bugs home today thx.
A beautiful day, so I decided to go for a drive around the peninsular and grab a few easy drivebys and walkbys. Thanks.
We were nearby collecting a few newly published caches and couldn't leave this one unfound. A bonus to be the first ones to find the new container and new log sheet. There were no creepy crawlies nearby but there was a HUGE slug on the cache container when we found it. A lovely view here, and a bonus rainbow today. Found with darthcacher1 and purply.
I have placed a new cache container as the original was missing. GZ is still the same and coordinates do not need to be updated. This cache is now ready to be found again .
As a previous finder of this cache, I am sad to say after a 20 minute search this cache is no longer their and needs maintenance, so other geocachers can enjoy finding this cache and the location.
A pleasant little bay. Glad I came here to do this geocache. Found the cache lying out in the open so tucked it away a bit better.TFTC
Today was a chance to go caching with Mrs Dragon. It doesn't happen that often as the places that I tend to go are often too wild and rugged for her. As it turned out many of these roads we travelled it was a case of us both enjoying the drive, the countryside and stormy windy weather, and I going to retreive the cache.
Nevermind was still a day full of memories that make up caching.
This was the twelvth of the day after passing through Waiuku heading for Awhitu Peninsula and South Head, it was now time to start heading back down the other side of the peninsula. Parked at the required location and the cache was very quickly in hand without any of the unwanted creepy crawlies.
Thanks for the cache, Thanks for the placement

Was out for a Sunday adventure as the weather was so good today so beach was a little busy today but not jam packed like i have seen it on a nice summers day. TFTC
Wow, what a beautiful spot! Stayed up the hill for Anzac weekend and strolled down to the beach and made the find.
