Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we are in Invercargill visiting family & friends it was later in the day that we found ourselves with a bit of free time so decided we would walk along the cycleway & pick up a few caches all three ended up being easy finds, log books completed & each was safely returned to its position were pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS this was #6,200 for us!
We are in Invercargill for just one day before heading to Stewart Island with friends and family tomorrow so we grabbed a cheap rental and hit the adlabs and any trads we found along the way. A late flight in meant it was dark but as I was parked nearby for another cache I wandered over and surprisingly found quite quickly. Still nice and dry and in great condition. Thanks for the cache.
Took me a bit to find but me and the kids got there in the end lol didn't have a pen on us so couldn't sign
Found the cache exposed in the front of wall have rehidden behind wall again. Cool cache. TFTC
I got into town late last night. This morning I walked back to the Airport to get a rental car. Did a bit of a detour down the road and along the track. TFTC

while i am down in Invercargill waiting for husband and son to re appear from their 5 day tramp over at Stewart Island i managed to visit quite a few of the local caches as well as some a little way out of town. I had about 3 DNF but the success rate was very pleasing and i hope i have not got too many muddled. This was quickly spotted and soon logged and re hidden .
thank you for the cache

Staying at the new NZMCA Park nearby. Took geopup for a walk before the forecast rain arrives. He loves the walk but is no help at all when hunting for a cache, but that's ok. Had to phone my son for an idea of what to look for to assist as geopup didn't. He texted back just as I picked up the cache. Love the camouflage. TFTC.
My first cache for today. Great info board here to check out. Cheers .
Saturday 7 November. Mopping up a few stragglers around Invercargill. Rain due today but stayed away till 11. Its a cool overcast day at 7deg. Went shopping and then headed out of town to Niagara. So lets get going Toby, before the rain arrives.
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

A solid 15 minutes searching, someone posted a photo of a sweet as archie fan club pin, which I was wishing for. But cavity in cache is to small for gifts. I found it more through touch than sight.
Cache 24 ️ very clever hide, I should have picked up on the type of cache it would have been sooner and honed my eyes for it lol but after a “rocky” start got there in the end. T4TC
A bit hasty and thought we had the rock wall but yeah, nah. Then we thought yep can't be too hard but ended up looking at the spoiler photo in an earlier post. Thanks for this interesting hide
Sneaky sneaky. Had to look twice before the cache was in hand. Nice one mate. SL TFTC
Cold wind there blowing a gale Waihopai River has whitecaps near be able to surf them brrrr. Cache found as quick as I could so could get back to the warmth of the car. One cache today going to veg out away from the wind! tftc
Beautiful day in invercargill good day for geocaching. Took a bit to find but found in the end. Tftc

Hard to spot but got there lived in Bluff and Invercargill for 22 years and had no idea about this bit of history tftc
What a clever cache - might have to borrow this idea and use elsewhere. Freezing cold early morning walk with the dog. Thanks
Beauty of a day with the kids found with eli 5 and scarlett 3. Ttfc (warning photo contains spoiler)
Plenty of bikers out on Sunday morning but this one is nicely out of the way so as not to appear suspicious. A quick find thanks to the hint. Found with AorakiSheep
Out and about along the cycleway on the mountainbike, love this one- great camo, this one gets a favourite from me. Enjoyed an interesting read about Invers early beginnings while at the GZ tftc sunnysouth
A cunningly hidden cache. And such interesting history, and what a life John Kelly had. TFTC and for bringing us here, on a bitterly cold and windy day, getting out and about, is good for the heart and soul.
In town for a working bee, so grabbing a few more caches on the way to 2000 by the end of the year.
A leg stretch was in order after lots of standing and not much walking today.
Initially checked out the wrong wall, but reread the hint, map and GPS and got the right end of the right wall. Heart sank, but was lucky enough to put my had on the right stone almost straight away.
Good to find out about the beginnings of the city.
Thanks for the smilie.

#4819. I have been in Southland for a week on a work trip but all that time was spent in Fiordland. I now have two days off and time to grab as many caches as I can find. Hired a rental car and set off on the adventure in glorious warm, sunny, dry, summer-like weather. Wandered up the walkway and soon found the relevant feature. Luckily this cache was quickly located, as I don't have great history of finding caches in rock walls. Nice camo and interesting bit of local history. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache sunnysouth.
Down in Invercargill with the Manawatu U15 Championship boys hockey team for the tournament this week, and plenty of caching. Still had a bit of time before the boys arrived on their drive down from Dunedin so grabbed a few more caches, this being one of them. Had a fair idea of what to look for and soon located the clever hide as we have done a few of these before. Thanks sunnysouth.
