Logs
last full day in the Hamilton/Auckland area, awake at 5am so decided to wait for first light and head off and get some caches, on the way to visiting a friend in Tuakau via Auckland to attempt a few challenge caches that I qualified for awhile ago.
set off around 6am when the sun hadn't quite come up yet, but by the time i got to the first cache it was light enough to see what I was doing, headed towards Ngaruawahia first to get some petrol and then on to having a go at the 52 cards power trail.
All was well here, noticed that most of these caches had really good parking opportunities, only a few had a couple of interesting spots, lucky I had set off early enough where there was no traffic, until further in where more and more traffic came down this road. All caches were simple finds.
signed the log and replaced exactly where I found it. thanks for the cache.
After really needing to use the rest rooms, got back in the car and decided to check where the nearest cache was, turns out it was just 39m away near the toilets, so thought I can't bypass this one.
however there are many many muggles very nearby, was easy to retrieve the cache as it is visible for someone looking for it, however it took a good 5-10 minutes to replace due to muggles coming in and out of the building nearby.
Happy Easter

Dear Cache Owners,
I am a German guy who stays in New Zealand for eight months.
My English is not perfect, so please don't wonder if my log entries sound a bit strange. Thanks!

An easy find for our young geocacher. Tftc

Found while out with Glad-NZ. Quick & easy find. Note to CO, log book completely soaked, needs maintenance

Cache was open but hidden when we found it. Log was way to drenched to sign so we took a picture. Put everything back normally but needs to dry out.
Found this with the log book outside of the cache at GZ - it was too wet to sign. Probably needs CO to check. Tftc
Found cache not under the first tree we thought. Lid was off so very wet, needs some maintanence. Didn’t have a log on us to replace but left a token.
Found it with Bratstar01. As we do not have a degree botany we did some Googleing and found out what a cabbage tree actually looks like
Right outside my sisters work. Been here a couple of times when visiting her but wasn't a geocacher then! TFTC
Had a wander through town. Wow, a lot has changed since my last visit. Quick find today. Tftc
After a nice meal at the Curry Leaf we wandered across here to stretch our legs and guts a bit. A quick poke around by the light of the iphone and the cache appeared. TFTC!
Stopped to check out the transformer and noticed this cache nearby. The Judas tree is really cool. Left a TB. TFTC.
On the way home from AK to the Naki thought we would do the road less traveled quick find and lunch TFTC
Decided to return home avoiding the super-highways as far as possible. Checked out Pukuekohe for brunch and found this pretty, little park, an aged Judas tree, and a neat cache. No watchers, so a quick find. TFTC
This is a nice little park in the middle of town. Parked across the road and then to the cache. Pretty easy find, sign and return. TFTC
Joining HKCB, 11hpg11 and iammrwalker on a geocaching mission to Pukekohe on a school night.
A nice wee park and a quick find.. no-one around at 11pm!

Out and about tonight, heading to Pukekohe to clean out a few caches with Iammrwalker, Kyb3r and HKCB. We only had a few hours to spare and so we left Hamilton at 7.30 and finished up just after midnight before it was time for home for a few hours sleep so we could all be bright eyed and bushy tailed for work the next day. (silly idea!) Perhaps next time we just keep going and don't sleep!
A good one to find late at night, no muggles around tonight so a quick find. Thanks for the hide.

Teamed up with Iammrwalker, 11HPG11 and Kyb3r for a night raid on Pukekohe. I've been wanting to find a few caches up here for a while but never had the time or other missions got in the way. Had heard talks of this night raid at an event recently and quickly put my hand up to tag along. It turned out to be a very successful mission, even with the handful of DNF's we had. A big thanks to the CO's who's caches we found. Signed the logs as HOAC to save room.
Nice and quite and 11pm, so no troubles finding this one. Thanks for the hide.

Lovely park. Walking around the area at lunchtime today and sat down here to enjoy. Spotted the likely GZ nearby and quickly logged in between the occasional muggle walking past. TFTC
Our last find for today, this wasn't on our list but as we had been down to the nearby falls in Tuakau, the geowife sensibly suggested we do some grocery shopping as astutely knew I wouldn't fancy it later. A walk across the street clearly more tempting for geohound and I than hanging around outside the Countdown supermarket we made a quick find here at GZ, popped it back and then headed back to do the aforementioned hanging around in the supermarket carpark. TFTC.
The countdown to this cache find had begun the moment I parked the geomobile in the car park across the road [:o]
180 minutes of free parking was all the time I had to find this cache before the threat of 'tow away' would not be enforced
The minutes were ticking away,
four had passed already on the stroll here [:o]
Hurry up "If" !!!
The park was muggle free,
and I wasted a precious couple of minutes admiring the olde 'Joshua Tree'.
That done, I quickly found the cache
I didn't sign the logbook fast enough [:o]
Before I knew it a bunch of muggles with two annoyingly curious kids had invaded the park !! [:o]
Only 170 minutes of free parking left ...
... hurry up and leave you pests !!
The kids soon became distracted by something, somewhere else and I quickly snuck the cache back.
Phew, that still left 165 minutes to shop [:o)]

Lots of road works near here but found a spot. Last day of our 4 day road trip from Hawkes Bay to Auckland and back to collect as many caches as we can. Log signed as b&p.Tftc
Busy place but managed to get in and out with no bother. Easy find thanks to the hint. TFTC.
With Junior away for the weekend and EIR-0T at a school disco and then off to friends place for the night, a plan was made to go out for diner...yes just Mr and Mrs stik-a-crane, a very rear activity....
Pukekohe was decided upon and as Mrs crane had been recently impressed by a local place.
Had lovely dinner (decided this is now a very suitable place for dining Mung Thai) had to go for a little walk before dessert could be taken on...what caches if any are nearby, and what do you know...this one only some 200m away...it was a clear crisp night and we thought the muggle issue would be reduced, so off we headed.
Arrived at GZ to make the find under cell phone light , signed log and replaced as found.
Now off to 'The Sugar Shack' for dessert.

Holding up well in the weather- Careful not to fall into the bush like us LOL
Second time of looking for this, but was more determined than ever.
It is beside an amazing tree, which I have heard of but never seen
Will take so.e photos to disguise the replacement maneuver.

Caching on our way to the hospital to visit our grandfather, definitely takes the mind of negative thoughts x
Caching our way in Franklin district. Busy and bustling with holiday activity around Pukekohe.
Enjoyed a stroll to this one after morning coffees at Cafe Kaos. Truly chaotic too.
The cache was a straightforward find. All in order; log signed, safely re-hidden. No muggle management required.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

My GPSr had me looking at smaller possibilities. I finally looked around a spotted the right place to look. Took Jess and Blue Wings TBs. TFTC.
Nice day to be out geocaching. The cache was quickly in hand thanks to the detailed hint. TFTC.
The start of a new Geo License Challenge... Gap (of Fap and Gap) and I are on the trail of a variety of cache types, sizes, and difficulty and terrain ratings. Staying dry is also going to be a challenge... It looks likd the rain is going to be a feature for most of the day...
I decided to look for this one without any devices... A quick find without too much difficulty. I reached for a pen and discovered that it was back in the car. I looked around for Gap, and he'd gone off too. Minutes later, he returned with coffee. A quick sign off and I returned the cache to its hide. I left a TB here. TFTC.

Please note: I accidentily placed Aotearoa into this cache today. I am unable to retrieve it to correct the mistake. It is not in this cache. Apologies.
Another day on the road with the Squirrel and back to South Auckland to see how many caches we can claim.
1.35pm - Great spot to stop, able to get a hot coffee just around the corner but had to go back to car to get pen. SLTFTC
