While staying in Middleton we headed to Mount Compass to do the Adventure Lab then enjoyed lunch at the Mt Compass Tavern.
On the way back to Middleton we doodled around grabbing a few caches on some of the back tracks.
Many thanks for the hide Southern Cross Caching

We made the detour off the main road to this one today, cache found in the obvious spot and is all good
This afternoon we had a few hours spare before the family dinner so set out to find a few caches in the local area with the time we had.
Total of 25 caches found.

On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC Southern Cross Caching

Mr Tardis was out for a ride on the motorbike enjoying the nice January weather.
It's nice and quiet around these back roads.
I found the cache in the first place I searched - don't you just love it when that happens?
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Southern Cross Caching & Allchin.

Full time nomads exploring Victor Harbor and surrounds using Geocaching as a guide, we are GeoAddicts if there was ever any doubt.
Today we decided to head into the hills, so glad we did, some amazing views up here.

In Port Elliott today, great day for caching out to get a few before the heat hits later this week. TFTC
With restrictions about to ease even further, I think we can safely enable our caches for people to start finding again. Please remember to practice safe hygiene measures while out an about, remain safe and most importantly, have fun.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Hello everyone, in these terrible times and with the current government directive for people to stay at home unless it’s essential. We’ve made a decision to take our caches off-line to stop temptation and encourage people to stay home. If this goes longer than the allowable 2 weeks period and geocaching hq decide to archive them, then so be it. But let’s hope this is over as soon as possible with as little damage as possible, so we can all get on with our lives this great game in the conditions we are accustomed to.
Cheers and stay safe and healthy,
Shane and Josie

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
After our house sit in Willunga, we are on the road again, filling in time before we go to Kangaroo Island on 1 Nov. Moved on to Port Elliott/Middleton today for a spot of caching. Just finding random caches as we drove around the town and hills.
Windy and hazy up in the hills today but a good day to find a cache. Thanks Allchin I like the name of the cache on this road.

We had no problem navigating our way to the two caches along this road - our road GPS knew exactly where to go. The views from along this road were worth coming for. Accurate coordinates and a common style of hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Allchin for the cache and to those you maintain them.
A nice spot with great views down the old telegraph road. We would like to have had the road go right through. SL TFTC
Stopped on route to the Seaside Ten event. Quick find. My life would have been easier if this wasn't a dead end road, driving through was the plan.
Hevwalker had a day off and wanted to go and check on one of her caches on the Fleurieu Peninsular. I was free so we made a day of it caching our way south west in search of that elusive smilie. I even managed to rectify a couple of previous DNF's but as usual added another one to the list. [B)] But it was great day will lots of walking to caches in Conservation Parks where the spring flowers were starting to be in abundance.
It is pity the road no longer goes all the way through. A quick find in the obvious spot.
**Thanks Southern Cross Caching for this cache. **

Cache container was wet and log was satched.. but had nothing to replace... sorry.. left my caching bag home as I didn't plan to do any caching but geo grandson had other ideas..!!! TFTC cheers.! cabbos
I think on fine day the view would be terrific, unfortunately for me today it was wet, thanks for showing me my possible lotto home?
A very quick find on a drive through the area today. We went further down the road and have to admit that it would be absolutely awesome buying a property along this road.
I visited the old telegraph station just out of Alice Springs many years ago. Always interesting to see how things were done before modern technology.
Thanks Allchin.

this has got to be the coldest wettest day of the year so far. got to GZ and the hevans opened. Quickly signed log and returned it to it hiding place. We are sure that this place would have a lovely view normally but today all we could see were clouds. TFTC Allchin
On my way to the Seaside Six event, I was being followed by a brand new caching team, Railmax.
We picked up Ismartis, then JJ52 and headed out for a long and lovely day
I managed 10 cache finds and the event [^] for a great day out..even if Ismartis did ditch JJ52 and I on the way home to go Ingressing
Loved this road and the drive down to the cache [^]
Even better when it is an Allchin cache, with a dirt road, with muggles to avoid, with a view!
Considering Railmax had been escorted to a cache today by none other than Mrs Allchin, they have had a very memorable Allchin day[^].....now just wait until the find BoB

We came up here after the seaside event to take in the views - lovely views they were too. Thanks for the cache Allchin!
Was on the way home from the Seaside event in Pt Elliott with locus cache and a couple of newbie friends grabbing a few caches along the way.
We took a slight detour to get the two along this road. We pulled up and headed towards GZ and quickly found the cache. We were signing the log when two muggles walked past. We just pretended we were admiring the view. Replaced the cache and headed to the next one.
Thanks for the cache Allchin.

I thought I'd found this soon after it was published but I remember now that I decided to leave it once the FTF was gone.
I had a hole in my calendar for this date and I was working 200m from this spot.
The grass certainly is snake country at the moment. Eerily I had the radio on ABC 891 and they were talking about snakes! I stamped my feet a lot and kicked the grass around before putting my hands anywhere.
Windy day. Sunny though.

A long time between drinks for this caching crew! A lovely spot with a great bit of history to get us started again.
Lots of greenery about today with some wild and woolly grey weather welcoming us to the cache. Quickly found with a cry of "Hey Dad! You like right at that spot and didn't even see it!"
Took: Various toys
Left: Jeep TB

A big day out caching today with WattsUp13. We started at the Old Sellicks Hill road where we managed a few finds including about 20 wrecked cars at the bottom of the gully after the road reaches its dead end. Onto a couple near the Victory Hotel and then found the start of the Forty Winks series. Enjoyed these, easy but interesting finds and lovely back roads of Willunga and the many vineyards. Will be back to finish them off another day soon. Thanks to everyone for a great day out. Managed the Dot coms on the way home as well. Thanks for the efforts!
Loved the view. Awesome!

Bit of surprise with this cache. Walking up Geo-hubby came within a metre of a hare asleep in the sun on a tree stump. I dont know who got the biggest shock but the hare sure took off down the road and the cache was found nearby. TFTC

An interesting bit of history here, and to think that it took 20 years for this technology to reach South Australia. Now new technology is on your doorstep the day after it is invented, well that's the way it feels to me.

Finally got to this cache today. After a lovely few days in Port Elliot we had a slow Geocaching trip back to Adelaide. This was our first stop. Loved the views. I have never been up here before, a different view of Port Elliot.
