As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Managed to squeaze in a couple of caches before heading home. Quick find TFTC #1261

Found but forgot our pen Will have to come back and sign another time!
Lots of muggles around though so be cautious!

Actually I now see the CO hasn't been online since January 2011. I'd suggest this should be archived.
Spent a lot of time looking. There are some branches down from the recent storm. Found a likely spot that matched the hint but no cache
Staying in a motel on Russley Rd and thought I'd go for a short stroll to get the caches in Avonhead Park... An hour later after having to go down Avonhead Rd instead due to the high fences along Russley Rd end of the park I managed to get nab this one before having to leave the park to jog back to motel the shorter route through the side streets. SL TFTC
Got quite wet while as it hailed while we were searching for this one. Our dog wisely didn't come into the bushes. A bit of a hunt until I finally laid a hand on it. TFTC.
Not many muggles were out in the hail, so we had time for a proper search. Gps couldn't make up its mind so it took a bit of time to find the right place.
Took geocoin

Pretty sure this one was not where it was supposed to be as it was rather exposed. Tucked it away a bit better. TFTC!
Quick walk around the park picking up the 3 caches I have not found and 4 for Chelzea. Bit of a search around the patch of bushes before Chelzea found the hint object which was not what I was expecting. Nice find after that. TFTC
Didn't get this one, maybe tried to read to much into the cryptic clue, may have to go back with some young grandchildren help.
Looked but could not find. Found a pen on the ground so hopefully not out of cache
#5109. Had a couple of hours before my flight back to WLG, so figured I had enough time to head down to Avonhead Park to look for a few caches. Had a bit of trouble with this one; the hint wasn't especially useful, and there were plenty of muggles around on a nice evening. I had just about given up, and had one last look and there it was. TFTC.
Found in between passing muggles. A nice afternoon to be out and about in the park. TNLN SL TFTC
My wee cachelets had to throw some stones into the bog. It is quiet dry and a lot of swamp bogies have grown in the pond. Instead of a healthy splash a muffled squelch came from the stone throwing. We went in hunt of the cache. We were happy we found the cache quickly. Signed the log and this was the 2 of 3 caches on our scooter journey around Avonhead park. Thanks for the cache.

I had a feeling of de ja vu when searching for the cache, but I haven't logged a DNF so I'm not sure I have searched earlier. Quickly located between doggy mugglers passing by.

Very good hiding place, took a little bit of hunting to find. Cache 1 of 3 in Avonhead park hunt. Many muggles about. Kids are a good cover.
Took a while to get to this one. Spotted it and then every muggle and their dog in the park decided to come to the area. Finally the coast cleared and cache recovered.
Easy found it during my day off before next trip around south Island with
my clients . T4TC and greatings from Czech republic

Flew in from Nelson on an all too short stopover on my way to Melbourne. Had a bit of a leg stretch in the park on my way to the hotel. Pretty sure that this is my 2nd attempt at this one but can't remember when I attempted it last. Today I was able to located GZ and the cache without any problems. TFTC, Biggles.
Reperio at 1255.
After a great week was had touring around the South Island with Roostaman...including attending the mega event in Dunedin...we spent today finding some caches in and around this beautiful city of Christchurch. We arrived at GZ to find plenty of spots to hide a cache...but fortunately for us we didn't need to search too long before it was found.

Quick find but then my plan of a round trip back to the motel was beaten by the fence stopping me from getting back to the main road. I ended up doubling back on myself to get back for breakfast.

Nice place to hide a cache, relatively easy find, after walking too far into the bush at first. Showed a local muggle the cache and explained geocaching as he caught up with me whilst doing another cache in the park.

This one was on our list to visit during our 36 hour cache raid of Canterbury. Early morning find with few muggles in the park TFTC.

Not many people around this afternoon. Don't blame them with the wind, but the wee dog needed walkies. Thks
Gave up when the rain started to get really keen.
Looking at the hint, I must have been close.
I will be back.
Cheers and thanks,

Nice location - lots of dog-walkers to avoid. Took a bit of searching but got it. TN:LN. #36 for us.
While hunting for this 2 little walking carpets decided that they needed to bark at me and draw attention to me - lol. So had to walk away and re approach - then found easily
Another cache on my watchlist since my last failed attempt. There are a few things that made this one a challenge for me. Firstly, you would think this little burrow in Avonhead park would be easier to sneek into than it is - I had to wait out so many dog walkers ! Secondly, the clue had me puzzled and I ended up exploring this area way more than I wanted to.
Pretty lucky something just caught my eye.

Staying in Avonhead for a couple of nights with my partner's parents before flying to Sydney to join my patner. Went for a short run in the area including Avonhead Park. Good opportunity to look for a couple of caches on this (unmunted) side of town. Left a bell/ball (good for kittens or puppies to play with). TFTC
This one took a while for myself & Boycie find for some reason, but spied it from a distance after 10 minutes. Cheers!
Out for a day's fun with MacPacFamily Mum and Kiwicampnut. Kiwicampnut got this one, because I didn't do a proper search in the right place!
Met Macpacfamily Mum and BalooSu in carpark and headed out to do the caches in the park and local area - cache all good. Kiwicampnut
found in today's the day's search cache. Everything I went through on foot, in the city and in nature, and thank you for the interesting places in New Zealand. Greeting from the Czech Republic

A quick find on a rather circuitous route (that just happened to pass by quite a few caches) back into the city from West Melton this afternoon. Signed log, TFTC!
#642: Got it!
I biked to this after yet another DNF at my nemesis. Was happy to find this one, to keep my cache-a-day streak going (Day 111!). Had to avoid the groundskeeping crew, so I just waited them out.

Yes not sure why I missed this last time I was here - Didnt have any way of writing the log theough - TFTC!
Back in the other end of Avonhead Park, and a pleasant short walk to GZ. The cache page saying "there is a river nearby" seems a slight overstatement at present. Quick find of the cache, thanks.

Quick find with Mporokosa. Had to delay our return to the park area until walking muggles were far enough away.
Our one and only geocache whilst visiting NZ for 5 days. A cache of 1st's, 1st visit to NZ, 1st time geoson saw snow, 1st time he ski'd and snowboarded, 1st time I have been on a jetboat on a river ... awesome time, thank you NZ .... oh, and 1st NZ cache find. Thank you. We snaffled the two NZ 'coins' and will place them today and tomorrow so they can start their Aussie adventure. We will definately be back NZ.
Oh.. we left an Australian $1 coin and 50c piece too.

Collected cache OK - but replacing it was a problem. Everyone AND their dog out walking this morning!! Finally a clear space - and then the park staff turned up on their lawn mower!!!! Finally I out-patienced them and was able to make my escape. Left two geocoins to begin their travels. TFTC.
