This one has needed maintenance since Feb 2012 and the CO has been inactive since Feb 2012. If archived I will relist and maintain a new cache close by. Thanks.
Well sadly it seems like this cache has gone again.. I spoke to Slieschke and confirmed what Mapper Ted's throw down was and I had found this, further destroyed with no cache log, in the open.
I have emailed Curglaff and asked some advice as I have placed a more permenant replacement here but would like to relist as a new cache and then maintain it. Presuming that the CO is no longer interested as they have not logged in to Gecocaching.com since Feb 2012...

Found remnants of Ted's throw down. It's been destroyed. Could not sign any log. DNF.
Found after a bit of searching about GZ while in the area. Actually picked up the cache but dismissed it until I read Mapper Ted's log where I instantly knew what I handled was the cache.
Thanks!
Thanks!
In view of previous comments and lack of cache owner maintenance I went to the cache location not expecting to find much but prepared with a back up plan for an interim fix so I could log my find.
Found nothing at GZ, but headed up a waterproof log sheet, signed it, put it in a plastic bag which was in turn placed in a piece of very undesirable (in my opinion) rubbish that I had found on the roadside. Put this where I think the cache must have been, now quite visible.
Then hurdled the fence and walked across the polo field back the bicycle.

Couldn't did this one but did find empty ziplock bag on the ground. Not sure if this was part of it?
Found it is in need of maintenance. Cache had been muggled, found empty container, rusty pencil sharpener and plastic bag but no log. Contents strewn about the place, took me a while to figure out I had 'found' it. Put back together as best I could but had no paper to replace log with.
Has been muggled. Log needs replacing. Found bits of it scattered around tree so put together as best I could.
Found as part of my Post Mega northen road trip. Really enjoyed a part of the country I hadn't seen before. Thanks to all those who have placed cacahes to encourage us southerners to come your way!
We had first attempted this one over a year ago, but on that occasion the area was overrun with muggles on horseback. No such problem today,so we walked across the paddock and on to GZ to make the find. Thanks.
Cool find, kids happy something to swap. Finally the kids are interested in doing more
Lovely country and views along this highway. Only my second time along this route, with quite a few more caches to find than on my previous visit An enjoyable, and fun trip finding as many as I could.
Many thanks for the hide [^]

There were a few kids playing rugby on the field near the club house but no horsey muggles to be seen in the field at the other end, so opted to get to GZ via the pony club route with a fence-hop at GZ. TFTC.
Found by Lizzie10 and Roger from the UK over visiting family and fellow cachers ChrisnDust. I don't think we went the right way,ie over pony field and fence before arriving at GZ. A nice quick find when we found the right tree.TFTC.
Great location. No ponies and amazing to realise I was playing touch rugby 10m away from GZ the previous evening! TFTC
Found it. Quick ad easy no mugglers still we left and then the dogs came to play.

Had to wait for the young lasses riding their ponies to leave before crossing the field. Looked for ages and was just about to call it quits when I spied it. TFTC
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
After spending the day at Atiu Creek Regional Park with 2kiwis.com, who was visiting us from Wellington, we drove back to Auckland along SH16 collecting caches along the way.
Cut across the pony club and spotted the cache from the fence. TFTC!

Found over two months ago when we travelled up to Auckland for a long weekend. It's taken us a while to log as we've been busy moving house.
Found while travelling back to Auckland from Atiu Creek Regional Park with Phasevisitor.

Had to cross the pony club grounds for this one luckily no ponies about today. Once over the fence the cache was soon found. Took pathtag.
Well it didn't turn out for us that the ratings are exaggerated. We tried to access this cache by climbing the fence from Henley Road. My foot slipped on the wood I stood on to get over the top wire and I fell on to it over my stomach. I now have a bruise about 25cms long and 5 cms wide. Ouch! Sorry Wynyards. Obviously we came the wrong way. I nursed myself back to the car and geohubby continued on and became my hero when he found the cache and signed the log. Thanks for the cache Wynyards.

6.50pm. Think that the difficulty and terrain ratings for this cache are a little exaggerated and should not put cachers off. Maybe a different story tomorrow however as its "ribbon day" at the pony club. Once we determined how to get into the area we had no problem locating the cache. Left a TB.

An easy walk to GZ and the search begins. Red jnr made the find much to his delight, TFTC
Out in the Geonut with Rednum6 and Jnr. Nice wee walk . Nice find made by Red Jnr.
Out on an evening cache run. The field was a good place to stretch the legs. Placed in TB. TFTC
Carried on around the block from the last cache, and headed down the overgrown path to get to this to avoid any suspicious looks. Not sure about the rating of this as definitely isn't as bad as what it suggest. After a bit of dig around the cache was soon in hand, and we were heading back, over the fence, and continuing around the block! TFTC
Found ourselves with a couple of options on approach - one involved a reasonable clear path but going past about 20 people sitting around at the club - or the more overgrown but less populated option. We chose the quiet one and it paid off. Back tracked to where we needed to be easily enough and soon had the cache in hand after a bit of a search. TFTC
This wasn't as bad as I was expecting. GPS took us on a wander and then spotted the cache quickly. TFTC #2635
It is a day to pick up the bits and pieces that I had left for another day's caching.
A nice walk over the Pony Club's grounds, luckily there wasn't anything going on this morning.
Cheers for the cache.

Out with Cabhassett, last cache of the day thankfully as getting a tad cold. We too came to the spot via the pony club & a handy spot in the fence! TFTC
Our last find for the day and my 600th find. Very wet underfoot. Thankfully the fence height was manageable. TFTC
6950 Came in via the Pony Club… not a good idea from the other side as there was a footy game in progress. Nice hide, TFTC.
NZ11. I came in the wrong way, but that is tomtom for you. No problems here. Thanks.

Nice walk through the pony club. Wouldn't want to try this while an event was going on. TFTC
Nice easy one thru the pony club.
Added silica and pencil sharpener.
All good.

Had to take the long way as muggles nearby playing cricket. Found soon after arrival at GZ.
Managed to turn this one into a 3.5 terrain. Drove to the end of Henley Road and rather than a shortcut through the Pony Club we carried on down the old road and crashed through the tall grass and weeds into the playing fields. easy find after that. TFTC
#934 Out and about rural today. Delayed getting along to GZ helping a youngster jump start his car....twice.... Anyway located GZ and have to say it took us a wee while to sort it out. SL. TFTC.
searched behind all trees. no luck. ????

Found in a nice spot while in the area. Great little park indeed, luckily the park was pretty free of people when I visited. Thanks the cache...
Found: "Taos Peak (NM)" Green Jeep Travel Bug in the cache, which I have picked up.

Wahoo, a podium finish, a welcome relief after having spent over 1.5hrs in Hellensville for a DNF on a multi.
Long live the Trad's.

Happened to look at my emails - whats this a new cache in Kaukapakapa and I know the park. I also realised I know the owners. No logs yet, although been there an hour. Asked Hubby if he wanted to come for a drive out to Kaukapakapa, he laughed (he's not into caching) he'd only come for a game of rugby. Called kids (UGTME) to see if they wanted to come with, and of we went. People playing Cricket on field, so decided it would be less suspecious to go round the back via the pony club and hop the fence (turned out to be a step over rather than hop). Mr UGTME did the retrieving. Although we weren't FTF, we got a cuppa at the owners afterwards, thanks Megan. TFTC
